Many 1-substituted 2-alkanone derivatives were synthesized and their inhibitory activities toward pancreatic lipase and esterase were examined in order to obtain hypolipidemic agents. 1-Benzenesulfonyloxy-2-pentanone (VI-2a) and 1-(2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzenesulfonyloxy)-2-pentanone (VI-2q) exhibited not only potent and selective esterase inhibitions (IC50 : 9.0×10-7M and 1.0×10-6M, respectively), but also potent hypolipidemic action (90 and 92% reductions of plasma triglyceride, and 53 and 90% reductions of plasma total cholesterol, respectively). A novel working hypothesis is presented to account for the lowering of the plasma lipids level, i.e., that inhibition of esterase and lipase activities in the small intestinal lumen may be responsible for the decrease in the plasma lipids level.

2-Aklylidene-4-arylidene-1, 3-oxathiolan-5-one (III-1a-m) and 2, 4-diarylidene-1, 3-oxathiolan-5-one (III-2a-i) derivatives were synthesized by treating β-aryl-α-mercaptoacrylic acids (I) with alkanoic acid anhydrides (II) or by treating α-acylthio-β-arylacrylic acids (V) with thionyl chloride in dimethylformamide. Basic hydrolysis and methanolysis of III-1 and III-2 in the presence of lithium hydroxide easily occurred to give the corresponding ring-cleaved products, the carboxylic acid (I and II) and the ester (VII and VIII), respectively. The catalytic hydrogenation of the two olefinic bonds of III-2 in the presence of 10% palladium charcoal proceeded easily without ring cleavage to give 1, 3-oxathiolan-5-one (IXa-e) derivatives. The oxidation of III-1 and III-2 with m-chloroperbenzoic acid afforded the corresponding 1, 3-oxathiolan-5-one S-oxide (Xa, b) derivatives.

As a part of our search for new potent analgesic agents, novel fused pyrazole derivatives were synthesized. The reaction of 2-substituted-5-hydroxypyrazole (I) with ethyl 2-substituted (for example COCH3 or CO2C2H5) acylacetates (II) gave mainly pyrazolo [1, 2-a] pyrazole-1, 5 (1H, 5H)-diones (III). On the other hand, similar reaction of I with diethyl benzoylmalonate gave mainly pyrazolo [5, 1-b] [1, 3] oxazin-5 (5H)-one (V) but did not give III at all. Thermal and photochemical isomerization of III gave V. Methanolysis of IIIa in the presence of LiOH occurred with retention of the 4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-pyrazolone ring and similar products (VIa and VIf) were obtained by methanolysis of Va and Vf, respectively. Analgesic activities of the present new compounds were all inferior to that of aminopyrine.

コイの筋肉繊維間にシスト形成する粘液胞子虫 Myxobolus artus について, 0才稚魚池における寄生状況と病魚からの胞子排出を定期的に調べた. 寄生率は9月に10%に達し, 以後約10ヶ月間続く胞子排出の過程で慢性的斃死がみられた. 瀕死魚は幼若赤血球の増加を特徴とする貧血症を呈した. 鰓薄板毛細血管内が貪食細胞により輸送された胞子で充満し, 毛細管の拡張や崩壊および鰓薄板上皮の剥離がみられ, 鰓からの出血が示唆された.

本論文の目的は,通常の回帰分析で注目されているグループ間の不平等にくわえ,グループ内の不平等を明示的にモデル化した分析を行うことである.グループ内の分散の異質性に注目することで,どのような社会的属性を持つ人々がより不安定な状況に置かれているのかが分析の関心となる.従属変数の条件付き期待値と残差分散に対してそれぞれ共変量ベクトルを設定し,それらのパラメータを同時推定するモデルを用いる.データは,「社会階層と社会移動全国調査」の1995年調査A票および2005年調査であり,従属変数には個人収入および世帯収入の対数値を用いる.分析の結果,男女ともに正規雇用者や既婚者は収入の平均が高いだけではなく,それぞれのグループ内部での収入のばらつきが小さいことが明らかにされる.これらは日本の社会制度の特徴とされてきた「男性稼ぎ主型」モデルが想定してきた人々において,収入の安定性が大きいことを示唆する.本論文の知見は,これまでの社会階層研究やライフコース研究において重要な問いではありながらも直接的に検証が行われてこなかった,リスクや不安定性について新たな視点を導入した.

稚魚期から出荷サイズまで同一魚群の養殖トラフグのヘテロボツリウム寄生を1年半にわたり隔月に調べた。寄生虫は初め鰓弁に認められたが, 鰓から鰓腔壁に移動した後に成熟した。夏では寿命は6カ月以内と推定された。寄生率と寄生数は季節や宿主固体差による変動が大きかったが, 水温上昇とともに増加傾向がみられた。魚によって, 鰓や鰓腔壁の寄生数に有意な左右差がみられる場合があり, 極端な場合, 虫体は片側にのみ偏在した。本観察例では寄生数が比較的低かったため, ヘテロボツリウム寄生は血液性状にはあまり影響しなかった。

エストロジェン様化合物の魚への影響を研究する目的で,2つの汚染河川(石津川と和田川)と対照地域に生息する成熟雄性コイのゴナドソマチックインデックス([精巣重量/体重]×100:GSI)と精巣の形態を1998年6月〜2001年3月までの期間調べた.石津川のノニルフェノール,ビスフェノールAと17β-エストラジオールの含有濃度は和田川の3〜4倍高かった.繁殖前期と繁殖期では,3地域のコイの体重に有意の差はなかった.石津川のコイの体重は繁殖後期でのみ和田川のものより小さかった(P<0.05).石津川に生息するコイのGSIと精巣重量は精巣周期の全期間で対照のものより小さく(P<0.05),和田川のコイと比較すると繁殖前期と後期でより小さかった(P<0.05).組織学的な異常は調べた全精巣で見られなかった.精巣の組織学的な所見から,石津川のコイの精子形成開始時期は他の地域のものに比べて遅延していた.これらの結果は,石津川の水中に含有するエストロジェン様化合物がコイの精巣の発達に有害な影響を与えているということを明らかに示している.

本研究の目的は、企業という組織レベルの要因を1つの社会制度と見なし、それを労働市場における社会的地位の格差の生成メカニズムとみなした実証研究を行うことである。本研究では、以下の2点を明らかにした。(1)企業規模は、内部労働市場における技能形成の機会を通じて、収入の蓄積的な格差を生み出している。(2)企業規模は、人々の収入の平均だけではなく、ばらつきに影響し、大企業に従事する人々における安定性をもたらしている。

Interview and questionnaire surveys were conducted with bus drivers in Japan, with the goal of developing an educational program for better control of emotions among bus drivers. The interviews aimed at identifying stressors and ways in which stress negatively influenced bus services. The questionnaire survey, which was being developed as a self-diagnosis tool, further provided bus drivers with the opportunity to understand their own emotional tendencies. Factor analysis identified six factors underlying work-related stress: anger at unsafe behaviours of nearby road users, irritation caused by complaints from passengers, time pressures, anxiety about traffic accidents, impatience with slow passengers, and resentment of bad-mannered passengers. The influence of stress on the drivers comprised four factors: cognitive failure, sullen behaviour, abrupt acceleration/deceleration, and aggressive driving. Moreover, drivers with lower stress were relatively older and more experienced. Based on these results, educational materials were proposed with the aim of enhancing bus drivers' understanding of their emotional processes and coping skills.

本研究には2つの柱がある。(1)大老・堀田正俊の政治思想研究。(2)「御家」の思想と民政思想の研究である。研究成果は以下のとおりである。(1)に関して、一橋大学附属図書館所蔵の堀田家文書のうち、朝鮮通信使に関する史料を使い『日韓相互認識』(第5号、2012)に論文「天和度朝鮮通信使と大老・堀田正俊の「筆談唱和」」を発表し、東アジアにおける近世日本の儒学、領主思想の一端を明らかにした。(2)に関しては、昨年10 月に群馬県在住の秋山景山の子孫・秋山綽家の原文書を悉皆調査し、その史料をもとに、『書物・出版と社会変容』(第12 号、2012) に「越後長岡藩儒・秋山景山の『教育談』について」を発表し、近世武士教育のあり方を考察した。

近年ネットワーク上でのWebテキストが色々検討されてきており,当大学においても教育用データベースのサーバーが設置されて数年が経過している。しかしその内容はHTMLによるテキストやJPEG画像のみの教科書的なサイト運営に留まっており,インターネットの持つ双方向メディアとしての能力が十分に発揮されていないのが現状である。しかし,現在利用可能な最新のインターネット技術を用いれば,従来の印刷物をこえる双方向メディアとしてのWebテキストになることは十分に期待できる。そこで今回はフリーソフトであるGifBuilder1.0を用いてgifアニメーションのWebテキストへの利用を検討した。今回は二等分法についてのGifアニメーションを用いたコンテンツ作成を試みた。その結果Gifアニメーションを作成する場合にはフレームレートを1/100S〜100/100Sまで自由に選べるが,1/30S〜1/50Sに設定するのがアニメーションのスピードとして適切と思われた。また,画像の転送スピードを考慮して一つのアニメーションのファイル容量は100kbyte前後が望ましいと思われる。100kbyteであれば,あくまでも計算上ではあるがISDN128kbpsのネットワークで5秒以内の転送時間でアニメーションを読み込むことが可能である。またHTMLの一つであるイメージマップを用いることによりX線画像の解剖についての学習も行いやすいと思われた。今後はR-ASHやMPEGによる動画などをコンテンツに加え,学生が自己学習しやすいようなWebテキストを開発していきたい。

A new nematode belonging to the family Physalopteridae was obtained from a primitive, deep-sea frill shark, Chlamydoselachus anguineus, caught off the Pacific coast of central Honshu, the main island of Japan. On the other hand, the larva was also found lying on the brain of a deep-sea bristlemouth, Cyclothone atraria, taken from the Pacific coast of northern Honshu. The life cycle of this nematode is briefly speculated. The nematodes were preserved in 70% ethanol and cleared in glycerin or Gater's solution. The specimens are deposited in the collection of the National Science Museum (Nat. Hist.), Tokyo. We are grateful to Dr. Toru TANIUCHI, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tokyo, who afforded an opportunity to collect the parasites of the frill shark. Thanks are also due to Dr. Elmer R.
