地域冷房にブロックアイス(25mm角)を用いた氷水搬送による高密度熱搬送システムを提案した.このシステムは需要家からの還水と地域主配管内の氷を直接配管内で熱交換させるもので,従来の二管式と比較して管路が短縮できるという利点を持つ.このシステムのかなめとなる氷水圧力損失特性把握,管内IPFの非可動・オンライン計測手法,及び管内氷粒径の推測手法について検討を行い,提案システムの可能性を示した.氷水圧力損失特性については流速,IPF,管径を変えた時の圧力損失特性が予測を基に最適制御が可能なことを,また管内IPF計測については超音波濃度計を用いたオンライン計測が可能であることを確認した.

The mining sector in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania was the backbone of the country's economy in the 1960s when Mauritania gained independence from France. However, mineral exploration has been limited due to several factors including the limited availability of geological information, poor legal and fiscal framework and lack of mining sector promotion measures as well as the vast scale of the country, severe climate and lack of infrastructure.In response to the request of the Mauritanian Government, Japan International Cooperation Agency conducted "the Study on the Strategic Plan of Mineral Resource Development". A geological survey was implemented from November 2003 to March 2005 in the areas of mineral potential in Mauritania with the purpose of promoting domestic and foreign private investments in the exploration of mineral resources.Mauritania comprises five geological provinces. These are the Reguibat Shield, Taoudeni Sedimentary Basin, Tindouf Sedimentary Basin, Mauritanides and Atlantic-Coastal Sedimentary Basin. Major metal ore deposits are distributed within both the Reguibat Shield and the Mauritanides.In the central area of the Reguibat Shield, magnetite formations occur in the Archean groups and large-scale highgrade hematite banded-iron formations occur in the lower Proterozoic groups. These deposits are the sources of iron ores that support Mauritania economy. In the southwestern area of the shield, epithermal; and mesothermal gold-bearing quartz network and disseminated deposits (e.g.Tasiast gold deposit) occur in banded iron formations (BIFs) of the Archean greenstone belt. Moreover, gold-bearing quartz vein deposits (e.g.Tijirit Ator gold deposit) occur in the basalt and ophicalcite units.The Mauritanides is most significant in copper and gold mineralization among the five geological provinces. These comprise a carbonate replacement magnetite-bearing copper and gold deposits and prospects (e.g.Guelb Moghrein deposit), copper and gold-bearing quartz veins in mafic schist and carbonate (e.g.Tabrinkout prospect), copper (and gold)-bearing quartz veins in andesitic to basaltic volcanic rocks (e.g.Indice 78 and Oudelemguil prospects) and disseminated copper deposits (e.g.Kadiar). The other important deposit type is orthomagmatic PGE-bearing chromite deposits in serpentinite (e.g.Guidimaka).In the future, it is desirable that exploration and development focus on gold deposits in the Reguibat Shield, and copper and gold deposits and platinum-bearing chromite deposits in the Mauritanides.

ロボカップジュニアに参加している子どもたちの要望や基礎研究を基に,ルール変更のため対応が必須となったサッカーゴールの塗り分け色を判別する,低価格なカラーセンサモジュールの開発を行った.市販のデジタルカラーセンサを使用し,レンズとして市販のアクリル球を用いるなど低価格化のため工夫した.また,外寸やインターフェースなどは従来のロボット教材との親和性を確保した.構造やアルゴリズムを工夫して子どもたちにも扱いやすく,実用的なセンサモジュールを開発し,商品化まで行うことができた.

先に, 著者は, ペーパークロマトグラフイーに, イネ苗試験法を併用して, マメ科の末熟種子にジベレリン が含まれていることを明らかにした。本報告には, 同様な方法を用いて, 双子葉植物の完熟種子にも広く, ジ ベレリンが含くまれているか否かを調査した結果が記されてあるヒマワリ, レタス, キウリ, スイカ, ヘチマ, ネナシカズラ, アサガオ, ルコウソウ, サツマイモ, ヨルガオ, フウセンカズラ, ノウゼンハレン, ルーピン, ソラマメ, ンゴの完熟種子にはジベレリンが含まれていた。 トマト, ナツダイダイ, ダイコンの種子では検出しえなかった。一般に, 「よじのぼり植物」の種子には, ジ ベレリンの含量が多く, 特に, ヒルガオ科の完熟種子は, 1g. 当り, 0.1~1μg. のジベレリンAに相当する 量があった

K-9 M-80号機に搭載したサブミリメーター放射計の観測結果について, 特に短波長側に重点をおいて報告する。102μm, 137μm, 262μmの3つの波長帯での表面輝度の空間分布が銀河系内の中性水素の柱密度とよい相関があることが見出された。102μm帯ではこの銀河成分-星間塵の熱放射成分-と惑星間空間塵の熱放射成分によって観測値を説明できる。137μm帯ではこれ以外に一様に広がった放射成分が残るが, その起源については今のところ不明である。

1985年7月に, 南極昭和基地の共役点であるノルウェーにおいてオーロラ観測の国際共同観測を実施した。日本側の大気球観測は, 地上から直接観測することが難しい降下電子, 自然電波および電離層電場等の時間および空間変動の観測が目的であった。気球搭載観測器としては, オーロラX線撮像装置とVLF受信機であった。日本側の気球は1985年7月2日と7月5日の2回放球した。本論文では, 7月5日に放球され, 観測されたオーロラX線現象について述べる。オーロラX線撮像装置として, 従来から用いていた無機シンチレータを1次元に配置したものと, 厚型のリチウム・ドリフト型Si(Li)半導体検出器の2次元撮像装置を用いた。解析の結果, このオーロラX線現像は, 7月6日23時25分(U. T.)頃に始まり, 数分間継続し, 約50km/minの速度で北西から南東の方向に移動していたことが明らかになった。

世界各地の重希土類およびインジウム鉱床の調査を実施し,ベトナム,タイ等東南アジア地域で重希土類に富む花崗岩風化殻を発見するとともに,日本,中国,ベトナム,ペルー, ボリビアでのインジウムの資源量の見積もりを行った.これらの結果,中国以外の地域でも重希土類およびインジウムの資源ポテンシャルが存在することが判明し,また鉱床成因のための必要条件が考察された.

国立国会図書館はこれまで,図書館および図書館情報学に関する情報誌「カレントアウェアネス」「カレントアウェアネス-E」を刊行してきたが,インターネットを通じた情報提供が図書館界においても一般的に行われるようになってきた昨今,速報性・情報量・効率性の観点から,両誌の課題が浮き彫りになってきた。両誌の編集を担当する調査情報係は,これらの課題を解消するため,CMSを用いてWebサイト「Current Awareness Portal」を構築し,新しい情報提供スタイルを試みた。本稿ではその取り組みと,試行の結果判明した課題を紹介する。

This study examined the effects of alloying elements on zincate treatment and adhesion of electroless Ni-P coating onto various aluminum alloy substrate. Surface morphology of zinc deposition from the single zincate treatment and its adhesion were changed, depending on the alloying element. The zinc deposition from the double zincate treatment became thinly uniform, and the adhesion between aluminum alloy substrate and Ni-P coating was improved irrespective of the alloying element. However, the adhesion of A7075P aluminum alloy was inferior to that of other alloys.

硬X線/γ線検出器Welcome-1 (mk2)の気球実験における方位角制御のために, リアクションホイールとよじれ戻しモーターを用いた制御方法による方位角制御システムを構築した。制御に用いた部品のパラメーターの評価, 地上, および上空でのパフォーマンスについて報告する。

オーロラX線イベントの2 次元イメージを得ることと,30keV から778keV の領域でエネルギースペクトルを得ることを目的として,大気球を編隊飛行させ観測を行うバルーンクラスター計画の下に,2003 年1 月13 日にPPB8 号機とPPB10 号機の2機が南極の昭和基地より放球された.両機は大気深さ9-12 g / cm^2を保ち,磁気緯度55°.5-66°.4 の範囲を飛翔し南極大陸を半周した.両機はフライト中に多くのオーロラX線イベントを観測した.特に,1月22 日から1 月25 日には,数例のイベントが両機で同じ時間帯に観測されている.2003 年1 月23 日には,始めに10 号機,218sec. の間隔をあけて8 号機でイベントが観測された.このとき8 号機は10 号機の西650km に位置していた.このことはオーロラX線源が速さ約3.0km / sec.で西に向かって移動していたことを示唆している.本論文では同じ時間帯に観測された,オーロラX線イベントについてその描像を述べる.

This paper presents a method for boosting the performance of the organization name recognition, which is a part of named entity recognition (NER). Although gazetteers (lists of the NEs) have been known as one of the effective features for supervised machine learning approaches on the NER task, the previous methods which have applied the gazetteers to the NER were very simple. The gazetteers have been used just for searching the exact matches between input text and NEs included in them. The proposed method generates regular expression rules from gazetteers, and, with these rules, it can realize a high-coverage searches based on looser matches between input text and NEs. To generate these rules, we focus on the two well-known characteristics of NE expressions; 1) most of NE expressions can be divided into two parts, class-reference part and instance-reference part, 2) for most of NE expressions the class-reference parts are located at the suffix position of them. A pattern mining algorithm runs on the set of NEs in the gazetteers, and some frequent word sequences from which NEs are constructed are found. Then, we employ only word sequences which have the class-reference part at the suffix position as suffix rules. Experimental results showed that our proposed method improved the performance of the organization name recognition, and achieved the 84.58 F-value for evaluation data.
