The Yiqiejing yinyi 一切経音義 compiled by Xuanying 玄應 (7th c.) of the Tang dynasty is the earliest extant text on the sounds and meanings of Buddhist texts. It is an important work that reflects the characteristics of Buddhist texts in the process of formation at the time of its compilation. Descriptive expressions such as “the scripture gives (經文作) . . .” in the Yiqiejing yinyi function to propose emendations and to explain and analyze the usage of words in Buddhist texts. Some entries in the Yiqiejing yinyi constitute Xuanying’s proposals for emending terms found in Buddhist texts. On the basis of Old Japanese manuscripts, this paper surveys the differences in word usage between the two Chinese translations of the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya, and attempts to explain the changes these reveal.

Interest groups combine various lobbying tactics. While some tactics may be used on one level, other tactics may be used additionally to enhance their claimson another higher level. In this paper, I attempt to clarify such a hierarchical structure of lobbying tactics. My findings are based on Japan Interest Group Study II data.   First, for sector groups and policy beneficiary groups close to the LDP government, lobbying tactics in terms of their targets in sequence are: 1) ministries and agencies; 2) the mass media; 3) the LDP or public assemblies. For value promotion groups, the sequence of lobbying is: 1) public assemblies; 2) the DPJ or mass media; 3) the mass media or DPJ; 4) ministries and agencies.   Second, interest groups tend to upgrade the level of lobbying when conflicts between interest groups exist or elite actors are accessible.   Third, the interest groups that lobby at the higher level tend to influence policy - making. But the sector groups and policy beneficiary groups that lobby the mass media in addition to ministries and agencies tend to have as much influence. The value promotion groups that use all the tactics including lobbying ministries and agencies also tend to influence policy - making.

Three ointments, Merzonin-ointment, Mercurochromum-ointment and Unguentum Hydrargyri, were used in a Preliminary Screening Test in an attempt to determine which ointments would warrant further testing for protective agents against the penetration of larvae of Ancylostoma caninum.No remarkable effective result were found compared with the control.

当科で治療した円形脱毛症383例(男性152例,女性231例)を対象に臨床所見,治療と予後につき検討した.初診時,易抜毛性がみられた症例は236例で,アトピー性素因を有する症例は142例であった.初診時の病型は,単発型34例,少数型60例,多数型146例,びまん型52例,全頭型15例,汎発型61例,蛇行型12例であった.治療は,SADBE外用塗布施行138例,ケナコルト局所注射施行126例,冷凍凝固施行126例であった.予後を略治(治癒後6カ月後再発なし),再発,離脱,治療中に分けて検討したところ,略治例は全体の23%であった.単発型では40%以上が略治したが,その他の病型では20%以下にすぎなかった.治療法では,ステロイド剤の内服とPUVA療法の組み合わせ療法で“易抜毛性あり”の症例が“易抜毛性なし”の症例より有意に略治率が高い.アトピー素因のある患者では,ステロイド剤の内服は有効であるが再発率が高い傾向があった.

This empirical study examined the following four hypotheses with reference to J.Jacobs' research, Urban Sociology, and Commercial Science. (1) When local residents go to the shopping street in their neighbourhood, they communicate more with shop assistants, than when they go to other shopping districts. The more they go to the shopping street, (2) the more they trust their neighbours, (3) the more they get local information and (4) the more they are attached to their area.     As a result, the hypotheses (1), (3), and (4) were statistically verified with the survey research. Therefore, Japanese shopping streets can be the place they communicate with each other, exchange information, and make sure their local connections. However, shopping streets is not associated with the trust for their neighbours. Further studies are needed to examine the relationship between average levels of residents' trusts and features of local lifestyles.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the importance of the agonist muscle activity of the post-impact 30 ms phase during drop jump (DJ) for effective rebound performance by comparing those of sprint runners and swimmers. The eight sprint runners (SPRINT) and twelve swimmers (SWIM) were participated in this study. They performed DJ from a 0.3-m height box with maximal rebound efforts. Electromyograms (EMG) of the lower leg muscles (medial gastrocnemius [MG], soleus [SOL] and tibialis anterior [TA]), and vertical ground reaction force together with kinematic data were measured simultaneously during DJ. In addition, the onsets of fascicle stretching of the MG and SOL muscles were measured by using high-speed ultrasonography (521Hz) during DJ. The onsets of the fascicle stretching of SOL during DJ were not significantly different between SPRINT and SWIM (15 ± 7 ms and 16 ± 6 ms, respectively). During DJ, SPRINT showed onset of the SOL EMG before the ground contact (-26 ± 19 ms). Meanwhile, SWIM showed the onset of the SOL EMG after the ground contact of DJ (16 ± 19 ms). These results suggest that the SOL muscles for SWIM cannot be fully-activated during the braking phase. Consequently, the rate of force development during the braking phase of DJ and subsequently rebound height could be reduced in SWIM.
