The Antarctic ice core records revealed atmospheric CO2 concentrations (pCO2) during glacial periods were ~80 ppm lower than those of interglacial periods. The mechanism of understanding the low atmospheric pCO2 of glacial periods is one of the most important problems in the global carbon cycle study. Most of paleoclimatologists consider that the deep-sea must have been an active pool of global carbon cycle on this timescale. However, there is no broadly accepted evidence that the deep sea played a role as the effective carbon pool during glacial periods. The reconstruction of deep-sea carbonate chemistry that is provided by oceanic CaCO3 cycle (CaCO3 preservation and dissolution) with glacial-interglacial cycles is a key to solve the mechanism of ocean carbon cycle. Number of previous studies reconstructed the pattern of CaCO3 dissolution on the seafloor during glacial-interglacial periods. These previous studies employed dissolution intensity proxies based on carbonate microfossils preserved in sediments. However, existing proxies are insufficient in order to obtain quantitative data for ocean carbon budget. This is due to the low accuracy of existing dissolution proxies and the lack of knowledge about carbonate dissolution mechanism. This review paper summarizes the principles, characteristics, application to paleoceanography and problems of carbonate dissolution proxies, and then discusses future possible development.

小豆島には,瀬戸内火山帯の一部をなす中新世の火山岩類(瀬戸内火山岩類)が分布する.これらは,他地域の瀬戸内火山岩類と比べて以下の特徴を有する:(1)比較的規模の大きい複成火山体をなす.(2)水中火山活動の証拠が顕著に認められる.(3)玄武岩から流紋岩までの広い化学組成を有する.(4)斑状火山岩と比較的無斑晶質な火山岩(サヌキトイド)まで,岩相変化に富む.(5)サヌキトイドの複合溶岩流が存在する.(6)初生的な安山岩(高Mg安山岩),玄武岩が産する.ここでは,主にこれらの特徴を簡略に説明する.

IoT (Internet of Things) 分野における多種多様なセンサデバイスの普及に伴い,室内環境における.これらの技術を用いて,室内環境における被験者のヘルスケアを目的とした識別に関する研究が盛んに行われている.時系列に被験者識別のためには,位置推定手法の高度が不可欠である.本研究では,介護やヘルスケアへの応用を目的として,センサ群を用いた複数の被験者の位置を推定し,個別に識別するための識別検出システムを提案する.シミュレーションと実験の結果から,個人検出と識別の精度を向上させることができた.また,2人の被験者のインタラクションシナリオに対する提案システムの実装も評価によって,有効性を確認した.

労働者の心理状態を知ることは,労働者の不調を上司や産業医が事前に把握し,健全な組織運営をすることに貢献する.一方,昨今の COVID-19 の影響で,労働者がテレワークが取り入れられるようになり,上司や産業医にとってテレワーク中の労働者の心理状態は把握しにくい.我々は費用と労力,感染リスクを減らせるメリットがあるオンラインミーティングサービスに着目し,オンラインミーティングで得られる動画や音声などのマルチモーダルデータを用いて労働者の感情を推定する手法を検討する.オンラインミーティングサービスを用いてグループディスカッションを被験者にしてもらい,そこから映像,心拍など様々なデータをセンシングして参加者の状態を推定する.グループディスカッション中の参加者の心拍,発言録から得られた感情極性,顔のランドマーク座標,他者からの感情アノテーションの 4 種類の指標から,他者への感情アノテーションを推定するために Light GBM (Gradient Boosting Machine),SVR (Support Vector Regression) の解析を行った結果,平均絶対誤差に関して 1.780 という結果を算出した SVR のほうが良いモデルであることがわかった.

[Purpose] This study aimed to evaluate the impact of lung function and peripheral muscle function on the six-minute walking distance (6MWD) in systemic sclerosis (SS) patients and, thereby, to develop an explanatory model of functional exercise capacity for these individuals. [Methods] In a cross-sectional study, 31 SS patients underwent pulmonary function testing (including spirometry, diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide [DLCO], and respiratory muscle strength), isometric dynamometry with surface electromyography, and the 6MWD. [Results] There was a significant correlation between the 6MWD (% predicted, 6MWD%) and the following parameters: height (r = 0.427) and DLCO (r = 0.404). In contrast, no other independent variable showed a significant correlation with the 6MWD% (r ≤ 0.257). The final prediction model for 6MWD% (adjusted R2 = 0.456, SE of bias=12%) was 6MWD% Gibbons = −131.3 + 1.16 × heightcm + 0.33 × DLCO% predicted. [Conclusion] In SS patients, body height and pulmonary diffusion are the main determinants of the 6MWD. Our results justify further investigation of the performance of SS patients during exercise, which may increase the understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in the disease. The impact of these findings in SS patients may be useful for evaluating the effects of rehabilitation programs.

脳神経外科疾患に対する治療手段の多様化などにより, 開頭術者は限られた症例で効率的に手術手技を学ぶ必要性が高まっている. さらに, “働き方改革” など社会情勢が変化する中, 外科医にとっても時間生産性向上が求められている. デジタルイラストレーションの特徴を踏まえ, 筆者らが行ってきた時間生産性, 教育効率性向上を目指した手術イラストを用いた手術教育について報告する.

飯田武郷は『日本書紀通釈』の著者として有名であるが、幕末期の国学者としての地位は必らずしも明らかではなく、地味な存在である。しかし国学の実践活動においては権田直助・落合直亮・相楽総三らと結んで多面的であり、岩倉具視との関係も興味深いものがある。そして権田・落合・相楽と異なる学者としての道を歩んで、明治維新後の時代に身を処した点に特色があるが、詩歌の道にも優れていた。最近、幕末の志士における詩歌の重要性が説かれるが、武郷はそうした面で志士としての活動とともに詩歌文章によって歴史の変革期の記録を行った文人としての面も備えている。本稿においては、家系・学統・国学活動などを周辺の情況・人物などに触れながら考察した。そして文人としての意味からは『蓬室集』に注目したのである。 Ida Takesato was famous as an author of "Nihonshoki-tsushaku" (the explanation of the oldest chronicles of Japan), however the position as a Japanese classical scholar of the end of the Edo period was not necessarily clear and had a simple existence. In the practice activity of the study of Japanese classical literature, he multilaterally allied with Gonda Naosuke, Ochiai Naoaki and Sagara Sozo, the relations with Iwakura Tomomi is also interesting. There is characteristic at the point that he followed a different paths as a scholar from Gonda, Ochiai, Sagara and behaved in the times of the Meiji Restoration. He was also superior in the way of the poetry. Importance of the poetry written by Shishi (a historical term describing a commoner in the late Edo period who actively contributed to the country) was explained recently. In such a behavioral aspect, he possessed a side as a literati who recorded the revolutionary period of the history by a poetry sentence with the activity as Shishi. In this article, family lineage, academic lineage, activity of a study of Japanese classical literature were considered while mentioning neighboring situation and people. From the meaning as a literati "Hoshitsu-shu"(蓬室集) was noteworthy.

側音化楫音障害を呈する男児に対して,構音指導,発音指導,動機付け,機能訓練及び耳の訓練を関連させた指導計画のもと,側音化傾向にある/ʃi/, /tʃi/, /dʒi /音を取り出して指導を行った。第1期では,動機付け,口唇・唇の運動訓練,耳の訓練,母音口形指導,/ʃi/音の発音指導を行った。第2期では,口唇・舌の運動訓練,発音指導を中心に行った。発音指導は,単音の指導から始め,複数音節,単語,文章へと徐々に進めていった。また,音の定着を図るため,単音表出の回数や速さを変化させた。第3期では,音の定着の強化を図った。構音検査では,第1期には50単語中14単語・15音節であった誤りが,第3期末において50単語中5単語・6音節にまで減少し,側音化構音は徐々に改善していった。側音化構音障害は,治療が非常に困難とされているが,本児の改善していった経過を分析する中で,今後の指導指針,指導の在り方を検討した。
