This paper reconsiders Yumiko Ehara’s examination on a series of discussions in the Japanese women’s movement since 1970s, to explore sociological implication of the issue raised by her. Through critical investigation into these discussions, Ehara articulated certain kind of diffi culty that might be found out even today in our discussions of social problems about gender inequality. In rereading Ehara’s examination, this paper suggests that change of people’s lifestyle and change of society are related to change of discourses in and through which our everyday life has been organized. In order to produce new discourses, we have to unravel the interconnection of various concepts in our everyday language use activities and reorganize them in a new way. Ehara’s concept of “Kenryoku-sayo” means regulatory power of discourses that prevents us from unraveling and reorganizing such interconnection of concepts related to gender. Based on Ehara’s examination, this paper suggests that such discoursive power not only regulates our everyday life but also is activated in and through our own everyday language use activities.

戦後日本の食環境の変化を象徴する食中毒事件と不安訴訟において、各々の事例の重要な社会的意思決定の場面に存在する科学的知見の不確実性に注目すると、不確実性は「無関心」「未解決」「未知」「不知」の4類型に分類できる。4類型の不確実性は、どの事例にも存在するが「無関心」「未解決」型の不確実性が発生する背景を歴史的にみると、個人的な要因から制度的・社会的要因に比重が移っており、科学技術を扱う専門家には、より複雑な倫理的課題が与えられている。

This paper introduces a mathematical puzzle book, Gobanjo, rediscovered on 2008. The radiocarbon dating on this book suggests that this puzzle book had been written on 15th century, which could be the oldest mathematical book in Japan. The Gobanjo shows us 6 types of puzzle utilizing go stones. The author summaries and translates these 6 types of puzzle into modern Japanese, i.e. Hyakugogenzan (Chinese Remainder Theorem), Shihoseki (counting the sides of square), Tonitarazu (addition and subtraction), Sassadate (simultaneous equations), Metsukeishi (guessing a hidden go stone), and Jugodate (3×3 magic square). Hitherto, as we had some knowledge about these puzzles except Metsukeishi, the author presumes the reconstruction of Metsukeishi utilizing the transposed matrix.

本研究では,食品のおいしそうな印象を意味する 「シズル感」 に注目し,シズル感のある画像の生成法を模索する.まず,画像の印象は,画像中の色の分布に影響することが知られていることから,シズル感も色の分布に依存すると仮定する.シズル感の感度と色の分布を定量的に示す画像統計量を知覚実験にて評価する.結果,仮説は棄却され,感度は画像統計量には依存しないことが明らかになる.次に,光沢が感度に影響する可能性があるため,画像に光沢を付与し,評価する.光沢の付与は,画像に存在する鏡面反射成分を強調することで達成する.結果,光沢を付与できた画像で,シズル感の向上を確認する.全ての知覚実験は,被験者に強制選択法にて 「りんご」 と 「ご飯」,「ステーキ」 の 3 画像群に対して最もシズル感を知覚する画像を選択させる.

Researchers have conventionally theorized that the first firearms to reach China during the Ming Period were of Portuguese manufacture, but since the Chinese were not able to duplicate them in their complexity, Portuguese firearms would only become common after the 1548 attack on Shuang-yu 双嶼 by the Ming army, which had obtained firearms from its Japanese prisoners.In the mid-16th century generals like Qi Ji-guang 威継光 made efforts to obtain firearms, which proved useful in feuding off Japanese pirates (Wo kou 倭寇) and the defense of the northern territories.It is not very clear, however, just how common firearms really were in China during the early 17th century, and improved versions like those used by the Japanese in the invasion of Korea do not seem to have been known to the Ming dynasty.On the other hand, the thousands of Japanese taken prisoner during the War played an important part in the diffusion of firearms in Korea, and it seems reasonable to assume the same situation occurred in China.Previous research has not taken into account how the firearms obtained from the Japanese were put to use by the Ming army, and how they influenced the spread of improved firearms during the period.In this article, the author discusses how firearms the Ming army took from Japanese during the fighting in Korea were later used to suppress Yang Ying-long’s 楊応龍 revolt in Bo zhou 播州 and also examines how these improved weapons spread to Ming China, a point that has received little scholarly attention to date.

第一章では、アフリカ土着音楽において特徴的な要素であるポリリズムについて、CDやVTR等の音資料から採集・採譜し、その特徴を分析する。第二章では、アフリカ音楽に特有の音律について、音資料から聴取し十二平均律とのずれや傾向を調べる。それらにより、ジャズやブルースのルーツがアフリカ音楽にあるという通説の音楽的裏付けをおこなう。
