The phenomena with relation to fluid mechanics are often taken up in books on science for popular readers. However, the explanation on principle of them has been described under misunderstood knowledge on fluid mechanics in many books. It seems the reason that the many authors are not understood fluid mechanics enough. Also, there is the further reason in the descriptions involved mistaken explanations in many books. In present study the mechanism of transmission of so misunderstood explanations has been considered, and the diffusion of them has been investigated. It is also examined and proposed how to prevent the transmission and diffusion.

ディーゼル車から排出されるPMとNOxの同時低減用に独自のDPNR触媒を開発してきた。PMは従来の重量規制に加えて新規に排出個数も規制されるため粒子数低減技術の確立が急務であった。本研究では触媒細孔構造とPM粒子捕集との関係を明確にし、細孔径20μm以上の従来コージェライト基材でもコート材の制御でPM粒子数規制に対応可能とした。

上の料理は「トマトタンメン」。東京・新宿の中国料理店「白龍館」の看板メニューだ。黒豚のスジ肉でとった塩味のスープに麺、そしてたっぷりと載せられたトマトとセロリ。いたってシンプルな組み合わせである。 このメニューが、初めて店で提供されたのは昭和28(1953)年頃のことだ。

While many people see the need for communication education in Japan, communication education has not taken root in high school. The purpose of this study is to explore the reason why instruction in "speaking and listening" has not been established in Japanese high school. In this study, a national survey by questionnaire was conducted on 95 teachers in charge of "language expression" regarding the kind of teaching materials used, and the kind of lessons carried out. "Language expression" is defined as using half the lesson time for "speaking and listening". In practice however, only about 10% of the time is used for "speaking and listening", and the rest of the time is diverted to composition, study of Chinese characters (Kanji), the study of proverbs, and in extreme cases, word processor practice, or the study of Chinese literature. This shows that instruction in "speaking and listening" in high school Japanese class is easily diverted to other areas of instruction. The reason for this is due to the difficulty in carrying out instruction in "speaking and listening", and its weak connection with university entrance examinations.

The ultimate goal of objective audiometry is to draw an audiogram in a frequency specific manner with no response from the subject. Auditory evoked brainstem response (ABR) is now most commonly used for objective audiometry. However, the frequency specificity of ABR elicited with tone pips is not enough to predict accurate hearing on a frequency-specific basis across the audiometric range. Amplitude-modulation following response (AMFR), which is an auditory steady-state response elicited with sinusoidally amplitude-modulated tone, is expected to be an ideal tool for objective audiometry, because of the frequency specificity of the stimulus tone.When detected by phase coherence, the threshold pattern of 40-Hz AMFR, which is elicited with tone amplitude modulated at 40 Hz, resembles very closely the corresponding audiogram patterns in all types of hearing impairment in adults while awake. However, 40-Hz AMFR is not sufficiently reliable for determining the hearing threshold in young children during sleep.On the other hand, 80-Hz AMFR is clearly detected in young children during sleep with the use of phase coherence. The threshold pattern of 80-Hz AMFR also resembles closely the corresponding audiogram pattern. An 80-Hz AMFR thus appears to be potentially useful for objective audiometry in young children during sleep.In this paper, our present knowledge about objective audiometry and AMFR is reviewed, and techniques for detecting AMFR and sources of AMFR are discussed.

This paper describes the development of a thermal energy watch. The Cal. 6C is the thermal energy watch that converts body heat into power. The watch has an ultra compact power generation system with a power generation monitoring function and a power saving function that gradually stops the hands when no power is generated. It also has a fully automatic perpetual calendar function valid through February 28, 2100.
