This study aims to realize fast disturbance estimation with a Kalman filter (KF). This paper presents a methodology of fast estimation and rejection for some types disturbances. This methodology attempts to estimate the state of mechatronics systems that rejected the influences of disturbance and noise by using KF. Most of known disturbance estimation method is the disturbance observer (DOB). However, the conventional DOB can not estimate the disturbance that is contaminated of noises. Generally, KF is known as state estimation algorithm that can consider influences of various noise. In addition, we had done some previous studies to design a linear KF with disturbance estimation. We obtained a fact that the disturbance estimation speed by the KF is slow from these studies results. Therefore, this paper proposes a new design method of KF with disturbance estimation which includes a design parameter to speed up disturbance estimation, where we have never concerned in this paper with KF design method except linear systems. Finally, we show the design method on the proposed method and usefulness via the simulation results relative to the position control for an simple cart system.

側頭葉てんかんでは,発作症状として情動発作があり,発作間欠期にはしばしば情動変化がみられる。情動発作としてよくみられるものに,発作性恐怖,発作性うつがあり,稀なものとして発作性快(性的オルガスムを含む),笑い発作がある。またよくみられるdreamy stateは,本質的には親密感familialityの変容としてとらえられるため,情動発作といえる。これらの脳における座として,扁桃体がもっとも関与していることがわかり始めた。それは最近,盛んに行われるようになった側頭葉切除術の結果である。この側頭葉てんかんにおける情動変化のメカニズムとして,LeDouxが新たに証明した視床―扁桃体の直接経路を援用すれば,理解されやすい。しかし,情動が認知・行動レベルに及ぼす変化を考慮する場合,他の大脳の領野,とりわけ前頭前野,海馬などのネット・ワークが必要となる。

244年前,沖縄県八重山地域を襲った大災害,明和大津波を研究した故・牧野清の独自の研究方法や研究成果の今日的意義に関して,地元に残されている資料をもとに考察した。その結果,当時としては広い視野から科学的見地に立ち丹念な地域調査に基づく推論を展開し,実証的に大津波被害の解明に挑んだことが改めて浮き彫りとなった。その意義は,中央の科学者との積極的な交流,測量も加味した綿密な実地踏査と地図化,丁寧な古文書解読,さらに古老からの聞き取り,私費を投じた慰霊碑の建設等,多岐にわたっている。研究者としてだけでなく人格者としても優れた足跡を残した「八重山学の偉人」として位置付けることができる。

A 16-year-old female Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus) died two days after recognition of conjunctivitis in the right eye, anorexia and depression. Gross necropsy revealed a thick pseudomembrane under the eyelid and hydropericardium. Histopathological examination revealed hepatocellular necrosis, sinusoidal and vascular congestion and infiltrated inflammatory cells. Infiltration by inflammatory cells was noted in the epicardium. The lungs had mild interstitial pneumonia with the extensive congestion within the capillaries of the air sacs. Tubular interstitial congestion and necrosis was noted in the kidneys. Bacterial culture and nucleotide sequencing of the inflammatory specimens identified the causative agent as Serratia marcescens, an uncommon bacterium in birds. In summary, this study describes the sudden death of an Indian peafowl due to S. marcescens infection, which is rarely seen in animals.

Liposarcoma of the spermatic cord is extremely rare in dogs and humans. This report describes the clinical signs, typical diagnostic imaging including ultrasound and computed tomography, and treatment of a liposarcoma of the spermatic cord of a Toy Poodle confirmed by histological examination after a surgical procedure. This case highlights the importance of preoperative diagnostic imaging and histopathological examination in dogs with an inguinal or scrotal mass.

A 2- to 4-year-old uncastrated male Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altica) bred in a local wild animal park presented with generalized clinical signs including abdominal pain, fever, lethargy, and anorexia, along with subcutaneous nodules along the trunk. The patient subsequently died of chronic, progressive dyspnea despite 45 days of antibiotic treatment. At necropsy, mesenteric fat inflammation and multiple subcutaneous, peritoneal, and intraabdominal nodules were observed. The lungs demonstrated congestion and heavy coagulation, and necrotic foci were observed on the cut surface. Histopathologically, the nodules were identified as granulomatous fatty tissue with numerous lymphocytes, infiltration with lipid-laden macrophages, and fibrosis. These changes were also noted in the lung. The etiology of this condition remains undetermined.

昨年12月15日、原告の住民票コード削除を命じた大阪高等裁判所の判決(11月30日)が、大阪府箕面市において確定した。拒否する者にコードを付けるのは違憲・無効という判決趣旨であった。箕面市は今後、原告(1人)の住民票コード削除を行わなくてはならない。箕面市の藤沢市長に、判決を受け入れた経緯、今後の対策について伺った。

スノコ床のウィンドウレスで20頭群飼(SI),スノコ床のウィンドウレスで350頭群飼(LI),発酵床のビニールハウスで400頭群飼(LD),放牧地で9頭群飼(SP)の4つの飼育方式における肥育豚の動物福祉レベル並びに生理的ストレス指標の実態を調査した.福祉評価にはWQ®プロトコルを用い,生理的ストレス評価は血清中コルチゾール濃度と健康性に関わるストレス指標である免疫グロブリンA(IgA)濃度を,唾液,糞便,血液から測定した.福祉評価点はSP > LD > LI > SIの順で,福祉レベルは前2者で「良」,後2者で「可」と評価された.血清中コルチゾール濃度はLIで突出して高く,唾液中IgAはSIとLIで高く,糞便中IgAはSIとSPで高かった.SIは低福祉でストレスレベルが高く,LIは低福祉でストレスレベルが最も高く,糞便中IgAは極端に低く,LDは高福祉で低ストレス,SPは最も福祉レベルが高く,ストレスレベルもやや高いが正常値範囲内の飼育方式と考えられた.
