The need for the automated analysis of sporting activities has increased dramatically. In this study, we analyzed and quantitatively evaluated tennis swings using computer vision. Two cameras are used to detect the positions of balls and rackets in 3-D. By subtracting successive images from each other, the relative positions and 3-D trajectories of balls and racket centers are calculated. An ellipse fitting method is used to estimate the racket contours and the normal vectors of the racket face are determined. Racket face angles are calculated using the components of the normal racket vectors, with three different shots (flat shots, slice shots and drive shots) being quantitatively discriminated using these angles. Ball and racket speeds for five stroke types ranging from beginner to expert are calculated and compared to evaluate shot techniques.

The magnetic agar, which was previously reported by the author, has several problems such as low permeability and complicated manufacturing process. The purpose of this study is to report a simple manufacturing process of the magnetic agar, by selecting magnetic powder of high permeability. Measurements show the mixing limits of magnetic powder and powder agar.

ステロイド性136例,250関節,特発性48例,50関節,計184例,300関節の膝関節部骨壊死の単純X線,MRI所見を検討した.ステロイド性は両側性,多発性の症例が多く,好発部位は大腿骨外顆後部,遠位骨幹端,内顆後部の順で,壊死発生部位は骨髄内血流終末部に一致しており,MRI所見は,「band」像,「mixed」像を呈していた.特発性は大部分が大腿骨内顆中央に限局し,MRI所見は「diffuse」像を呈し,「band」像は認めなかった.特発性壊死はステロイド性壊死と大きく異なっていたが,骨折が特発性骨壊死の原因と考えられる画像所見は認められなかった.

2010年当時の国内最高気温40.9℃が記録された岐阜県多治見市における夏季の気温分布を調べるために,2010年8月に多治見市並びに愛知県春日井市の学校及び公園に計15台の気温計を設置した.月平均気温の空間分布から,盆地底に位置する多治見市中心部ほど気温の高い様子が示された,また,日最高気温35℃以上の日数(猛暑日数)と日最低気温が25℃以上の日数(熱帯夜数)についても,多治見市中心部で最も多かった.更に,日最低気温が現れやすい早朝の気温分布においても,多治見市中心部ほど気温が高かった.夜間の盆地底は冷気層の形成によりその周囲よりも低温になりやすい.しかしながら気温が下がりにくかったという結果から,多治見市の日最低気温の形成に多治見市の都市化が影響していることが推察された.
