壁面部分の音場制御により、二つの空間を音響的に結合させ、一つの空間と等価な音場を実現することを目的とした「Acoustic Virtual Wall(AVW)」を提案している。それには、結合境界面における(1)反射音の除去と、(2)音場の連続性確保が必要であり、これらを満たす「高度吸音」と「音圧一致」を条件とするモデルを構築した。本報告では、AVWモデルが建築的な結合、即ち物理的な界壁の除去と等価であることを、Kirchhof-Helmholtz積分公式による定式化と解析によって示す。また、多チャンネル双方向拡声系のループゲイン構成要素を考察し、ハウリング安定化の方法について述べる。さらに(財)ヤマハ音楽振興会(東京都目黒区)とつま恋ミュージックガーデン(静岡県掛川市)に設置されたAVWシステムを紹介する。

AEパラメーターによる斜面の変形・破壊挙動を評価する手法を確立するために, 一面せん断試験と模型斜面の崩壊実験を行った。その結果せん断仕事率やせん断ひずみの速度と, AEエネルギーレイトやAEイベントレイトの間に線形関係が確認された。<br>これらのAEパラメーターを福囿式などに用いることにより, 斜面崩壊発生予測が可能であると考えられた。

Revitalization of peer learning in university skiing practice classes by introducing buddysystem and utilizing learning cards while riding ski lifts.In physical education classes, peer learning among students plays an important role in integratingtheir awareness of skills and proficiency at techniques, thus promoting autonomouslearning and improving communication skills. During skiing classes, training is carried out by instructorswith small groups of students. Although there is a communication/receptive manualin place for this type of training, methodologies that promote peer learning among students arestill at an early stage of development.This study investigated revitalization of peer learning among students by introducing amethod whereby students taught each other during classes utilizing a buddy system. With thissystem, the students were split into pairs, with the pairs rearranged for each training section,while learning cards were also developed for review while riding the ski lift. Implementation ofthese methods resulted in promotion of peer learning among students, the effectiveness ofwhich was also verified by positive feedback received from them.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) represents a global health and economical problem. Many patients with DM in Asia, South America, India and East Africa have traditionally used the water extract of unripe fruits of Momordica charantia (bitter melon) as some form of complementary and alternative medicine. Studies of laboratory animals have shown the beneficial blood-glucose lowering and anti-diabetic effects of this remedy. Some oral components that bring lower blood glucose level have been isolated : charantin (sterol glycosides), charantin (polypeptide) and cucurbine-type triterpenes. Part of their actions are related to AMP-activated kinase and repression of the oxidative stress that is increased in DM. Most clinical reports are not fully convincing due to the lack of randomized control studies. The present article reviews the pharmacological and clinical effects of bitter melon with special emphasis on the anti-diabetic effects, and some effects that would require caution in the context of human trials.

日本国内において、インターネット上の電子掲示板等ネットコミュニティの利用に際して、利用者は実名を秘匿し、ニックネームなどの仮名を名乗る傾向がある。ただし、その仮名が継続して用いられるのか、その場限りなのかは明らかではなく、利用者が意識せずに仮名によって名寄せされた情報から本人が特定されるリスクもある。本稿では、読売新聞社による大型電子掲示板「発言小町」の利用者を対象にした調査結果をもとに、サイト利用者の「名乗り」の意識について考察する。回答者の約6割がネット上のみで通じるニックネームを名乗っており、実生活にひもづけられる名前はほとんど使われていない。また、積極的な書き込みをする利用者ほど、名乗る名前をその都度変化させていることが分かった。

Computer programming is one of the most highly intellectual human activities. How a man produces a program, however, has not been investigated vastly. Despite of efforts to automate the programming, it has not been successful except for the cases of very small and restricted problems. Investigations of human programming process may contribute not only to automatic programming but also to pedagogy of programming. In this paper, the human process of programming is considered from the cognitive scientific point of view.

生活保護制度は,「生活困窮者」救済を実現する施策のひとつである.ただし制度の実質的な対象と方法は,行政運営によって決められる.たとえば実際の対象は,ある範囲の保護基準から算出した最低生活費と収入認定額の差から判断されることになっている.本稿は,この安否判定の方法がつくられる経過をたどり,「生活困窮者」選別のしくみを検討するものである.分析では,厚生省が実務担当者に与える「指針」に焦点があてられ,その「指針」をたどる主な資料として雑誌『生活と福祉』が用いられる.結果として,「生活困窮者」を選別するしくみが徐々につくられ,修正が施されつつ維持されてきたようすが実証的に明らかにされた.さらに制度運用上の矛盾を踏まえると,今後,法の運用方法の決定のみでなく,その立案,形成,実施の各場面を含む政策過程を分析する必要が考えられた.
