意思決定の基礎理論は,一方で民主主義社会の根本原理にかかわるものとして,社会科学理論の大テーマとなってきた。また他方では,アルゴリズム的な知能の機械化の根幹をなす問題として,近年の必要が増していると思われる。本論文ではこの問題をArrowの一般不可能性定理を参照しつつ,機械知能のゲーム理論的研究の一環として分析する。囚人のジレンマ,ムカデのゲーム,投票のパラドックスなど,知的で合理的な判断が望ましくない解を与える実例が含まれる。限定合理性が完全合理性を生まないだけでなく,根本的に完全合理性が成り立たない。類似のパラドックスはパターン認識や人工知能分野において頻繁に出現する。今後の人工知能型情報処理機器や知能ロボットなどの開発に関連して,情報文化学的にこの種の問題意識を明確にもつ必要があることを指摘し,知能の不完全性のテーゼを提唱する。

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of dietary prebiotic, probiotic, and synbiotic products for controlling infection in laying hens and broiler chickens challenged with Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis (SE). These products could replace the use of antibiotics, which would avoid the problem of hastening antimicrobial resistance for both types of birds. Salmonella-free 1-day-old (1-d-old) layers chicks and broilers chicks were inoculated with SE resistant to nalidixic acid and spectinomycin (SE Nalr Specr) and divided into four groups: 1) control (without feed additives); 2) probiotic (Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, Enterococcus faecium, Bifidobacterium longum); 3) prebiotic (inulin, fructooligosaccharide, mannanoligosaccharide, and oligosaccharide); and 4) synbiotic (85% of the probiotic+15% of the prebiotic additives). The presence of SE Nalr Specr in cloacal swabs was analyzed at 7, 14, and 21 days post-infection (dpi) in laying hens and broilers. The number of SE Nalr Specr per gram of cecal contents was determined at 7, 14, and 21 dpi in laying hens and at 2, 5, 7, 14, and 21 dpi in broilers. The results showed that the prebiotic additive reduced the occurrence of SE in cloacal swabs from laying hens but not from broilers. In the groups of laying hens and broilers that received prebiotics, the isolation and counts of SE Nalr Specr were lower during the first week post-infection but not throughout the experiment. The probiotic and synbiotic additives did not influence the SE infection in laying hens and broilers; in contrast prebiotics had a protective effect during the first week post-infection.

By quoting several Greek philosophers, the author tries to distinguish the judgement from the description. According to his opinion, the description is nothing other than the task of the eye and its act is the objective exactitude. The judgement is on the contrary the personal decision concerning internal responsibility, and its act is the truth. Many thinkers utilize their objective description about the external world for their judgement. But Plato concentrates on the judgement. Because his theory goes on the level of logos, which is the correlative of the reason, and not on the dimension of pragma, which is the object of the sense. His theory of ideas is not the inductive reference from sense-data, but from this theory as principle the lot of true propositions are deduced. (Interpretation of Phaidon) The subject of thinking in Plato is neither the sense nor the reason of human beings. The human reason does love the true thinking which is the business of God. The act of the human reason is to become the horizon for the thinking of God. Periagoge tes psyches (conversio animae) to the Being-itself is the principle for the homoiosis toi theoi. Because the service for God (latreia tou theou) is the most important task for us, we must know what God thinks and we must do as we know. This is the reason why the thought and deed can be one in Platonic system. (Interpretation of Apologia and Politeia)

In this paper, we would present an overview of the recent studies on the role of diagram in mathematics. Traditionally, mathematicians and philosophers had thought that diagram should not be used in mathematical proofs, because relying on diagram would cause to various types of fallacies. But recently, some logicians and philosophers try to show that diagram has a legitimate place in proving mathematical theorems. We would review such trends of studies and provide some perspective from viewpoint of philosophy of mathematics.

リンゴ苗の育成におけるarbuscular菌根(AM)菌[<I>GtσmusetZtnicαtum</I>(GE)および<I>GigasPoramargaritα</I>(GM)]の利用について検討するため,リンゴ(iN4aluspttmitaMill,var.dom.esticaSchneid.)の8品種('旭','祝,紅玉','ゴールデンデリシャス','スターキングデリシャス','ふじ','陸奥','幽レッドゴールド')およびミツバカイドウ(MαttcssieboldiiRehd.)の実生の生長に及ぼすAM菌接種の影響について調査した.<BR>接種8週間後,AM菌の感染は全ての品種•菌種の組合せにおいてみられた.リンゴの9品種における感染部位率(1個体の根系における感染部位の割合)は,GE接種区では31.7%('ゴールデンデリシャス')-50.5%('紅玉')に達し,GM接種区では24.0%(ミツバカイドウ)-50.7%('スターキングデリシャス')となった.GE感染個体では,草丈,地上部および根の乾物重は,全ての品種において無接種個体のそれを大きく上回った.GE感染個体では,ゴールデンデリシャス'およびミツバカイドウを除く他のものにおいて,それらの値が無接種個体を大きく上回った.両菌種において,共生関係成立による生長促進効果は'旭で最も大きく現れた.感染植物体の地上部および根におけるリン濃度は,菌種に関わらず,無接種個体のそれより顕著に高かった,この場合,その差は地上部より根において大きかった.<BR>このように,AM菌(GEおよびGM)の感染および共生関係成立による植物体生長促進効果が数種リンゴの実生において認められたことから,リンゴ苗の育成過程において,AM菌接種による健苗の育成が期待される.

手話は言語でありろう者の母語である.手話と音声言語の間のコミュニケーションには手話通訳が必要となるが, 手話通訳士の数は圧倒的に不足している.両言語間のコミュニケーションを支援する技術が期待される.本論文は日本語と手話との間の機械翻訳を目指して, その一つのステップとして, 日本語テキストから手話テキストへの機械翻訳を試みたものである.機械翻訳をはじめとする自然言語処理技術はテキストを対象としているが, 手話には文字による表現がないため, それらを手話にそのまま適用することができない.我々は言語処理に適した日本手話の表記法を導入することで, 音声言語間の翻訳と同様に, 日本語テキストから手話テキストへの機械翻訳を試みた.日本語から種々の言語への機械翻訳を目的として開発中のパターン変換型機械翻訳エンジンjawをシステムのベースに用いている.目的言語である手話の内部表現構造を設定し, 日本語テキストを手話の表現構造へ変換する翻訳規則と, 表現構造から手話テキストを生成する線状化規則を与えることで実験的な翻訳システムを作成した.日本手話のビデオ教材等から例文を抽出し, その翻訳に必要な規則を与えることで, 日本語から手話に特徴的な表現を含んだ手話テキストへの翻訳が可能であることを確認するとともに, 現状の問題点を分析した.

日本語音声の特徴的現象である母音の無声化は,聞き手が誰であるかという会話の状況によって,その出現が変化する要素の一つであると考えられている.本研究では,そもそも母音の無声化が少ないとされている近畿方言話者が、東京方言話者と話す場合,近畿方言話者と話す場合,そして外国人と話す場合にどのような発音がなされているのかについて,母音の無声化に焦点を当て実験を行った.その結果,近畿方言話者の会話における母音無声化の出現については,個人差があるものの、平均すると対東京方言話者,対外国人留学生,対近畿方言話者の順で,母音無声化率が高い傾向があることがわかった.この結果より,近畿方言話者は対話相手が誰であるかによって母音無声化を制御し,話し方を変化させていることが示唆された.

A serological survey of Borrelia infection of dogs was performed in Sapporo, Japan, where Borrelia garinii infection in dogs was detected in 2011. A total of 314 serum samples were collected from dogs that visited three animal hospitals in Sapporo from 2012 to 2014. The two-step evaluation method, involving screening ELISA followed by Western blot analysis, was used to detect antibodies against Borrelia species. A total of 34 samples were positive by ELISA. Among those 34 samples, 32 were positive for Borrelia spp. by Western blot. These findings suggest that the 32 dogs (10.2%) generated antibodies against Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, such as B. garinii or B. afzelii. Antibody positivity was 7.6% and 13.3% for dogs living in urban and rural areas, respectively. Dogs with a history of tick infestation showed a positive rate of 16.7%, which was higher, although not significantly, than the 6.7% among dogs without a history.
