This paper attempts to analyze communication space created by Japaneseyouth who flocks to video game arcades. I myself joined them for direct observationand checked their comments written in the notebooks at the arcades.This approach led to reveal the unique existence of communication space createdthrough the fusion of two communication patterns: face-to-face and machinemediated.The negative image of young people, for example juvenile delinquencyand self-isolation, is contrary to the reality. This kind of prejudice among theolder generations is not reflecting their behaviors and interaction patterns.

At the present time, some psychologist and psychiatrist have made researches in the problem of “ KI ”. They say that “ KI ” is under the control of the mind and influences other's mind. Ultimately “ KI ” is the relationship between oneself and things.But it is necessary to discuss “ KI ” from the standing of physical education or “ BUDO ”. The purpose of this article is to make clear the specifics of “ KI ”, which are thought to be the most important concept in traditional theories of martial arts.To list the terms on “KI” 663 examples, which appeared in 8 literatures written by swordsmen in the “ EDO ” era, could make the theme clear.The result of this article are summarized as follows.1) Swordsmen who had attained higher perception said that “ KI ” is such as atmosphere or features of heaven and earth, and the principale to control man's motion.2) “ KI ” is the medium between mind and body or my own self and another person.3) They directed their attention, to transforming themselves, by cultivating the “ KI ”. And it was accomplished by particular breathing exercise.4) “ KI ” is not only nominal definition, but real essence.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between age and the lost-time workers’ compensation claims in British Columbia, Canada, over three time periods (1997-98, 2001-02 and 2005-06). We examined if the relationship between age and risk of lost-time claims is consistent over time and for different nature of injury categories. Methods: Secondary analyses of lost-time workers’ compensation claims combined with estimates of person-years of exposure generated from the Canadian Labour Force Survey were performed. Analyses examined the relationship between age and claim risk using sex-stratified regression models, adjusting for time period, occupational characteristics and whether the claimant was employed in the goods or service industry. Multiplicative interaction terms were used to examine if the relationship between age and lost-time claim risk changed over time. Seven separate regression models were generated to explore the variation in the effect of age across nature of injury groups. Results: We observed important differences in the relationship between age and risk of injury depending on the nature of injury examined. A negative relationship was observed between age and lost-time claims for open wounds, while a positive relationship was observed for traumatic injuries to bones, nerves and the spinal cord. We found no evidence that the relationship between age and risk of lost-time claims changed over time periods. Conclusions: The association between age and risk of lost-time claims depends on the nature of injury under investigation. We found no evidence that the relationship between age and overall lost-time claim risk has changed over time in British Columbia.

図表や漫画などの線画は,直線または曲線で描く図形であり,画像出版物の中で重要なものの一つである.線画の著作権を保護するため,不正コピーを自動的に検出する手法が求められている.実際に,不正利用者は,線画をそのまま使うだけではなく,オリジナルの一部分,すなわち部分的複製を利用することが多い.その際には,部分的複製は他の素材の中に埋め込まれる形で使われる.加えて,部分的複製はそのままの形で埋め込まれるとは限らず,様々な処理によって改変されることも考えられる.その結果,不正利用の検出が困難となっている.更に,線画の場合,改変の手法として手書きの複製が考えられるが,これが問題をより困難なものとしている.これらの問題に対処するため,本論文では,局所特徴量の照合による画像検索技術を用いて,不正コピーを検索する手法を提案する.具体的には,局所特徴領域の抽出手法としてMSERを,特徴量の記述子としてHOGを用いる.そして,データベースの大きさと検出時間を削減するため,主成分分析で特徴ベクトルを圧縮するとともに近似最近傍探索を用いる.実験により,提案手法は,印刷線画の部分的複製ばかりでなく,複雑な背景に埋め込まれた手書き線画に対しても有効性があることを示す.

Poco dopo la maturita liceale, il giovane D'Annunzio si trasferi a Roma gettandosi subito nella vita mondana della capitale frequentando teatri e salotti privati mentre cominciava a scrivere poesie e a pubblicare su diversi settimanali e quotidiani articoli vari con noitizie sull' alta societa romana e recensioni sugli avvenimenti culturali, fra questi ultimi la moda delle giapponeserie. Fu cosi che nel giugno 1884 usci sul <<Capitan Fracassa>> un racconto intitolato Mandarina, la cui protagonista, un′ aristocratica vedova di Roma, soprannominata 'Mandarina' perche ha "questa curiosa affettazione di giapponesismo nelle vesti, nelle pose, perfino nella voce", ha un amico giapponese, un certo cavaliere Sakumi, di cui Madarina e quasi innamorata benche sia un uomo molto strano. Uno studio in tema di Maria Mimita Lamberti ha dimostrato come si possa sostenere che D'Annunzio avesse tratto diverse descrizioni degli arredi e della sfumatura dei colori da La maison d' un artiste di Edmond Goncourt. Dal confronto fra i due testi emergono in Mandarina tanti motivi e espressioni prese dal libro di Goncourt, spesso tradotte quasi letteralmente. Uno per tutti : la semplice trama del racconto, piu che ispirata ad un episodio raccontato nella Maison di Goncourt dove parlando del concetto dell' amore in Giappone vengono citate le critiche fatte da un giovane giapponese alle espressioni amorose francesi troppo dirette e libere, in D'Annunzio si capovolge creando una sorta di parodia di Goncourt stesso. Probabilmente all' inizio di maggio, D' Annunzio lesse un libro francese intitolato Poemes de la libellule ; una raccolta di poesie giapponesi tradotte da un giapponese, Saiongi, e riordinate secondo la metrica giapponese con l' aggiunta della rima da Judith Gautier. Compose allora una poesia giapponizzante Outa occidentale, raccolta dopo ne La Chimera, e scrisse una recensione intitolata Letteratura giapponese. Altra testimonianza delle giapponeserie in D' Annunzio e il suo primo romanzo Il Piacerc, del 1889, con la sua ambientazione negli anni 1885-1887, le giapponeserie nell' arredamento, il personaggio strano di Mandarima e il giapponese Sakumi, che, curiosamente, ritorna in questo libro con il suo "linguaggio barbarico" e con la sua fisionomia che sembra uscita dal pennello del grande pittore 'umorista' O-Kou-Sai(Hokusai). Acme di questa testimonianza e la sensazione che D' Annunzio attribuisca una certa qual valenza di richiamo erotico all' arredo giapponizzante come sfondo delle scene che alludono allo stato d' animo dei protagonisti. Elementi corroboranti sono pure altri due motivi orientaleggianti : uno e il paragone fiore-neve (forte e il richiamo a Victor Hugo e al Goncourt della Maison, ma forse anche alla poesia di Tomonori) ; l' altro e una specie di topos : il cielo bello come in Estremo Oriente, quello, per intenderci, che vedono Andrea e Maria all' ora del tramonto e "tutto roseo come un cielo dell' Estremo Oriente" o che si trova gia nel Taccuino del 1882 nella descrizione di un tramonto a Pescara, o ancora in alcuni articoli giornalistici e perfino nel romanzo Il Fuoco del 1898. A differenza del fenomeno dello 'japonisme' francese, molto significativo in campo artistico soprattutto dopo l' Esposizione Internazionale di Parigi del 1862, il Giappone per D' Annunzio rimane sempre limitato alla sfera della moda e del decoro. Pur possedendo i disegni e gli arredi giapponesi, come testimonia una prosa del 1936, il Giappone per D' Annunzio giovane era sempre anzitutto il Giappone di Goncourt e quest' esotismo, dalla durata piuttosto breve, come ogni fenomeno di moda non aveva in se motivazione sufficiente per giustificare un approfondimento nella formazione culturale del poeta. Nonostante cio, rappresentano curiosi documenti delle opere del poeta in un determinato periodo, utili, diciamo, per evidenziare il legame esistente tra i diversi generi letterari che trattava D' Annunzio. Cronaca e favole per i giornali da una parte, poesia e romanzo dall' altra, sono quindi fra di loro legati anche dai motivi giapponizzanti, 'ricucinati' dall' autore a seconda delle necessita richieste dai diversi generi.

Objective. The focus of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions reduction policies for the inter-regional passenger transport system depends on two factors: 1) the aviation sector is the slowest to eliminate use of carbon fuels; and 2) aviation is expected to contribute more to greenhouse gas emissions than other transport modes. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the possible changes in each indicator of Life Cycle CO2 (LC-CO2) per passenger-km and eco-efficiency considering travel speed as a result of a shift from aviation to the high speed railway system (Shinkansen). CO2 emissions both for aviation and Shinkansen were estimated by applying the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method and taking into account same important parameters such as passenger demand.Results and Discussion. CO2 exhausted from aviation and Shinkansen during normal operation and the additional LC-CO2 from new infrastructure provision were compared. The first analyzed the sensitivity with regard to the number of passengers for a 500km long corridor. The results indicate the following: 1) CO2 per passenger-km generated from aviation hardly vary with the number of passengers; 2) LC-CO2 per passenger-km for Shinkansen is inversely proportional to the number of passengers; 3) LC-CO2 per passenger-km for Shinkansen is lower than that for aviation for the passenger volume of approximately 1,200 or more passengers per day; and 4) for eco-efficiency, the break-even point is more than around 2,000 passengers per day. The second considers the distance and travel demand for both aviation and Shinkansen. A possible shift from the current demand for aviation to Shinkansen was compared for each inter-prefectural Origin-Destination (OD) pair. Shinkansen was found to be superior for OD pairs with higher demand and shorter distances.Conclusions. This paper proposed a methodology for identifying an inter-regional transport system with lower CO2 emissions. An application to the inter-prefectural ODs for existing airlines in Japan shows the conditions that provide an advantage of lower CO2 emissions for aviation or Shinkansen.

本年度の研究成果としては以下の三点を挙げることができる。第一に俳句研究にたいする成果について述べる。オートポイエーシス概念にもとづく情報学すなわち基礎情報学を応用して近現代俳句を分析することにより、既存の諸アプローチによる研究(たとえば文献学的研究、テクスト論的研究、認知科学的研究など)では十分にとらえきることが難しかった俳句独自の特徴について多角的にあきらかにした点を挙げることができる。その特徴とは、第一に俳句が俳句結社などの共同体やメディアと非常に密接な関係を結んでいる点、第二に共同体やメディアと作家とのあいだに師弟関係に代表される力関係が存在する点であった。こうした特徴にかんして、本研究の情報学的=構成主義システム論的アプローチによって、たとえば俳句結社における作句に、結社誌の存在や師弟関係がいかなる影響をおよぼすのかを説明することができた。以上述べた俳句研究における成果にとどまらず、基礎情報学という理論的枠組を発展させた点も本研究の第二の成果として挙げられる。具体的には、通時的な考察の導入、自律システム同士の関係性、システムの作動メカニズムと情報概念との有機的関係づけなどをとおして理論を深化させることができた。成果の第三として、既存の文学システム論研究が抱えていた問題点に一つの解決をあたえたことを挙げることができる。基礎情報学は二次観察概念を核とするセカンド・オーダー・サイバネティクス(ネオ・サイバネティクス)に含められる理論的枠組であるが、セカンド・オーダー・サイバネティクスを応用する文学研究は、すでにドイツを中心におこなわれてきた。それには、いわゆる経験的文学研究の潮流もふくまれていた。本研究をつうじて、文学システム論が有していた、文学テクストをめぐる理論を研究作業のなかに位置づけることが難しいなどの弱点を克服する道が拓かれ、情報学的=システム論的文学研究の可能性が拡張された。
