計算機環境の発達やFDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) 法などの簡便なアルゴリズムの普及により,音場シミュレーションが身近になってきた.本稿では,FDTD法により音場を解析するときの理論を解説し,GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) などの高速並列演算デバイスへの実装法についても簡単に触れる.また,音場シミュレーションの可聴化への応用として,波動性を考慮した3次元音場計算により聴取位置での音圧波形を数値的に計算した上で,立体音響技術などで3次元的に可聴化する音空間レンダリングについても解説する.更に,近年高性能化が著しいHMD (Head Mounted Display) による3D CG映像との連携によるインタラクティブなレンダリングについても述べる.

精神疾患合併妊娠における新生児予後を後方視的に検討した.対象は平成22年1月から27年5月の期間における滋賀医科大学産婦人科のてんかんを除く精神疾患合併母体より出生した新生児90例である.NICU入院,新生児離脱症候群(NWS)発症の有無,乳児院への入所の有無と関連する因子を調べるため,母体年齢,薬剤の種類,併用薬剤数,罹病期間,薬剤の自己中断の有無に関してMann-WhitneyのU検定およびFisherの正確確率検定を行った.多重ロジスティック解析では,独立変数を年齢,併用薬剤数,罹病期間,薬剤の自己中断の有無とした.精神疾患の内訳はうつ病27例,パニック障害20例,統合失調症19例,双極性障害9例,不安神経症5例,摂食障害5例,強迫性障害3例,適応障害1例,身体表現性障害1例だった.児が新生児期にNICUへ入院した症例は21例(23.3%)だった.NICU入院と関連する因子は三環系・四環系抗うつ薬の使用(P=0.0094),抗不安薬の使用(P=0.0157),併用薬剤数(P<0.0001)だった.NWSを発症した症例は7例(7.8%)だったが,NWS発症と関連する因子は年齢(P=0.0423),SSRIの使用(P=0.0023),三環系・四環系抗うつ薬の使用(P=0.0372),併用薬剤数(P=0.0003)だった.乳児院入所症例は4例(4.4%)だったが,乳児院入所と関連する因子は内服薬の自己中断の有無(P=0.0204)だった.多重ロジスティック解析では,NICU入院と最も関連する因子は併用薬剤数だった(オッズ比5.862,95%CI;1.784~19.259).乳児院入所と最も関連する因子は薬剤の自己中断だった(オッズ比13.12,95%CI;1.078~159.609).これらのリスクのある症例では,妊娠前から精神疾患のコントロールを十分に行うこと,妊娠中も内服の自己中断はしないよう指導し注意して妊娠経過を観察すること,出産後に向けてNICUスタッフやソーシャルワーカーなどの関係スタッフと連携を取ることが重要と考えられた.

目的:胸骨圧迫の質を高める背板の研究は2006年以降さまざまな条件で行われてきたが,システマティックレビューやメタアナリシスはなかった。そのため,臨床現場で心停止患者に対する背板の有効性と今後の具体的な背板の使用方法を明らかにすることを目的に文献検討を行った。方法:主に各国の蘇生ガイドラインで背板使用の推奨の歴史について論述した後,Ovid,PubMed,CINAHL,MEDLINEを用いてキーワード「cardiopulmonary resuscitation」と「backboard」で検索した結果,16件の文献を抽出した。結果:文献を背板が有効,条件により有効,無効に分けて内容を検討した。結論:背板の効果は,背板の大きさや挿入方向,心停止患者の体重,マットレスの硬さにより異なるため,常に有効というわけではない。したがって,ベッド上での胸骨圧迫に背板をルーチンに使用しないとならないというものではなく,マットレスの変形が大きく,やりづらさを感じる場合には使用を考慮してもよい。

The existence of adolescent growth spurts (PHV, Peak Height Velocity) has long been the norm for human height growth theory. However, according to Ohsawa's report, the hunter-gatherer Mlaburi, who lived in the forests of Thailand and Laos, did not see the adolescent growth spurt of their stature. The study reexamined this issue from growth data for the hunter-gatherer Salone (Moken) living in the Andaman Waters of Myanmar. As a result, similar to Mlabri, the adolescent growth spurt (PHV) could not be observed in Salone. The growth period of Salone was very long, and stature continued to grow to nearly 20 years of age.

Zinc is an essential micronutrient for human health and is involved in various biological functions, such as growth, metabolism, and immune function. In recent years, research on intracellular zinc dynamics has progressed, and it has become clear that zinc transporters strictly control intracellular zinc localization, zinc regulates the functions of various proteins and signal transduction pathways as a second messenger similar to calcium ions, and intracellular zinc dyshomeostasis is associated with impaired insulin synthesis, secretion, sensitivity, lipid metabolism, and vascular function. Numerous animal and human studies have shown that zinc deficiency may be associated with the risk factors for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and zinc administration might be beneficial for the prevention and treatment of these diseases. Therefore, an understanding of zinc biology may help the establishment of novel strategies for the prevention and treatment of diabetes and CVDs. This review will summarize the current knowledge on the role of zinc homeostasis in the pathogenesis of diabetes and atherosclerosis and will discuss the potential of zinc in the prevention of these diseases.

Recent studies show that sound symbolic principles are operative in Pokémon characters’ names; e.g., those characters with names that contain more voiced obstruents tend to be larger and heavier (Kawahara et al. 2018b). One question that arose from this line of research is whether other attributes of Pokémon—specifically their types—show any tangible effects of sound symbolism. This question is related to the more general issue of what kinds of semantic attributes/dimensions can be signaled by sound symbolism. In answer to this question, Hosokawa et al. (2018) showed that the dark type characters are more likely to contain voiced stops and less likely to contain labial consonants in their names than the fairy type characters. The current judgment experiment shows that these associations are productive. Moreover, the effect sizes of sound symbolism were not correlated with each participant’s familiarity with Pokémon, suggesting that the sound symbolic knowledge is more abstract than what can be gleaned from the Pokémon lexicon.

東京都水道局では、水道水の臭気異常への対応力強化を目的として、臭い嗅ぎ機能付きガスクロマトグラフ質量分析計を導入し、臭気原因物質の特定手法の開発を目指している。手法開発の手始めとして、当局において過去に甚大な被害を受けた玉ねぎ腐敗臭の原因物質をターゲットとして、分析条件の検討、MS スペクトルによる構造解析を踏まえ、原因物質の特定に至る手法を明らかにした。

作業療法では,対象者が行いたいことや必要としていることと実際に行っていることとの間に生じる作業ギャップを把握することが重要となる.本研究の目的は,作業ギャップを測定するOccupational Gaps Questionnaire日本語版(OGQ-J)を作成し,言語的妥当性を検討することである.方法は,標準化された手順に従いOGQ-Jを作成した.その結果,原版との内容的な整合性を保ちつつ,日本の文化において使用可能な30の活動項目で構成されるOGQ-Jの言語的妥当性が確認された.今後は,高齢者や心身機能の低下を伴う人々を対象に含め,信頼性および妥当性の検証を実施する必要がある.
