目的:中壮年期を対象にソーシャルキャピタルの構成要素と地域共生意識との関連を明らかにし,地域における中壮年期からの社会参加を促進するための資料を得ることを目的とする.方法:A県Y市に住所を有する日本人40歳代,50歳代のうち1,020名を対象に郵送による無記名自記式質問紙調査を行った.結果:有効回答295名を解析対象者とした.ソーシャルキャピタルは【信頼】と【つき合い・交流】間のみ関連が認められた.地域共生意識に影響を与えているソーシャルキャピタルの項目は『一般的な信頼』『近隣でのつき合い』〈職場の同僚とのつき合いの頻度〉(F(3.260)=51.77 p<0.01)であった.結論:中壮年期世代のソーシャルキャピタルの「構成要素」は【信頼】,【つき合い・交流】間にのみ関連があり,【社会参加】との関連は認められなかった.地域共生意識と近隣や職場の同僚とのつき合いに関連が認められたことから,中壮年期世代が従来から活動している身近な場所において社会参加への支援を行うことは,地域における中壮年期からの社会参加活動支援に対し有効である.

高コレステロール血症治療薬である胆汁酸吸着剤は,市販後調査データあるいは臨床試験で2 型糖尿病患者の高血糖改善や体重低下の成績が得られてきており,その新規薬効に注目が集まっている.作用機序については様々な説が提唱されているものの,十分に解明されていない.今回我々は高脂血症およびインスリン抵抗性を呈する高脂肪食負荷apoE3-Leiden transgenic マウスを用いて,胆汁酸吸着剤コレスチランのインスリン感受性増強作用・体重低下作用およびその作用機序について検討した.コレスチランの8 週間混餌投与により体重,脂肪組織重量,血中コレステロールが低下し,肝脂質合成および糞中への脂質排泄が増加した.一方糖代謝に対して,コレスチランは血中グルコースおよびインスリンを低下させ,クランプ試験において末梢のインスリン感受性を増大させた.標識脂肪酸のinfusion 試験によりコレスチランは胆汁中への脂肪酸由来コレステロールおよびリン脂質の排泄を増加させることが見出された.以上の結果から,コレスチランは糞中への胆汁酸,コレステロール,リン脂質の排泄により,肝臓での脂質合成を増加させ脂肪組織の脂肪酸を動員させることにより,内臓肥満の改善および末梢インスリン感受性を増加させることが示唆された.胆汁酸吸着剤は,肥満,インスリン抵抗性および2 型糖尿病の新たな治療薬となる可能性が考えられる.すでに市販されている薬剤の臨床データから得られた新規知見を活用して新たな薬効・作用機序を見出していくことは,新規創薬ターゲット発掘において有用な研究戦略の一つとなりうると考えられる.

The aim of this paper is to clarify the characteristics of a landscape at the sacred place paying attention to landscape scenery.This aim is dealt with in humanistic geography. But, there are still many complicating problems in the process of study. Especially, the translation of the word landscape is problem: all geographers ought to use the word keikan as meaning landscape, although the landscape study with which humanistic geographer are concerned is differnt from that of other geographers. Humanistic geographers are interested in how felt landscape is looked at by a person. On the other hand, most geographers have been interested in how a landscape is made, not how it is felt. Despite these different interests in landscape study, all geographers ought to use a same word. Therefore, landscape study with which humanistic geographers are concerned often has difficulty being understood by many geographers on other fields.So, I use the term word landscape scenery as a key word in this paper. The term landscape scenery is used by landscape gardeners. A humanistic geographer's concern is how a landscape is felt when looked at by a person, so this concern is close to the gardener's. If I carelessly use the word keikan as meaning landscape, my aim may not be properly understood by many other geographers.By the way, a sacred place can in the considered by context of history or society. Indeed, it is important to consider a sacred place from such contexts. But even if the focus goes further than history or society, it may be possible that such a place attracting all human beings exists. I want to deal with such a place that has been attracting all human beings beyond history or society as sacred place.I take up Muro as a sacred place in this papaer. Muro is a village between mountains. It has attracted many people as a sacred place for 1200 years. I make a study through researching Muro's landscape scenery. By the way, landscape scenery changes according to season or weather. Therefore, I mainly focus on the form of landscape scenery in this papaer.Muro's landscape scenery is mainly formed by 3 main structures.1: Very long path that has very bad visibility.2: A basin scenery looking from a place where the field of vision suddenly opens up.3: Changing scenery when a person gradually descends to the sacred villageThis landscape structure looks like a form combin a tunnel with earthenware mortar. Moreover, this landscape scenery looks like the scenery when we go back to mother's womb, if we wish. Is it exaggerated that this landscape scenery is possibily attractive for all human beings?The way of feeling for landscape when pepole look at it may be different for each person or each time. But there may exist a landscape scenery attracting all human beings. At least, this paper may be able to suggest that Muro's landscape scenery is very attractive, and the landscape structure of Muro may apply to a landscape scenery attracting all human beings.The aim of this paper is to clarify the characteristics of landscape at a sacred place paying attention to landscape scenery in geography.

Background and Aims: For any committed athlete, getting back to conditioning and participation post-injury (return to play [RTP]) needs to be as swift as possible. The effects of near-infrared lightemitting diode (LED) therapy on pain control, blood flow enhancement and relaxation of muscle spasm (all aspects in the treatment of musculoskeletal injury) have attracted attention. The present pilot study was undertaken to assess the role of 830 nm LED phototherapy in safely accelerating RTP in injured university athletes.Subjects and Methods: Over a 15-month period, a total of 395 injuries including sprains, strains, ligament damage, tendonitis and contusions were treated with 1,669 sessions of 830 nm LED phototherapy (mean of 4.3 treatments per injury, range 2 - 6). Efficacy was measured with pain attenuation on a visual analog scale (VAS) and the RTP period compared with historically-based anticipated RTP with conventional therapeutic intervention.Results: A full set of treatment sessions and follow-up data was able to be recorded in 65 informed and consenting subjects who achieved pain relief on the VAS of up to 6 points in from 2-6 sessions. The average LED-mediated RTP in the 65 subjects was significantly shorter at 9.6 days, compared with the mean anticipated RTP of 19.23 days (p = 0.0066, paired two-tailed Student’s t-test).A subjective satisfaction survey was carried out among the 112 students with injuries incurred from January to May, 2015. Eighty-eight (78.5%) were either very satisfied or satisfied, and only 8 (7.2%) were dissatisfied.Conclusions: For any motivated athlete, RTP may be the most important factor postinjury based on the resolution of pain and inflammation and repair to tissue trauma. 830 nm LED phototherapy significantly and safely reduced the RTP in dedicated university athletes over a wide range of injuries with no adverse events. One limitation of the present study was the subjective nature of the assessments, and the lack of any control groups. However, further controlled studies are warranted to enable confirmation and generalization of the very good results in the present study.

This study aims to clarify reality of projects, effectiveness of base places, and problems through study of three projects for dual-habitation without own a home. Findings are as follows; 1) A host of place running dual-habitation business by meeting a particular need. 2) Base place have the effect of reducing the economic burden, cutting down on a burden of maintenance, and showing the variety of dual-habitation styles. 3) A host of place acts as a mediator and creates a weakly link between guests and local residents. 4) It is effective to incorporate regular usage business with temporary usage business.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of transient exercise on the mood in people with sensory sensitivity. The participants were 23 university students. They were randomly assigned into two groups and were required to participate in a rope-jumping exercise for 10 min. The results showed that the relaxed mood of participants with low sensory thresholds significantly decreased and was lower than that of participants with standard sensory thresholds, and their pleasurable mood was stabilized. These results suggest that people need to select adequately intense exercises or alternative interventions depending on their level of sensitivity.

This paper reports the development of a very-short-range nowcast system, VIL Nowcast, which aims to provide precise forecasts of imminent rainfall, and in particular, heavy and localized events. The system is based on the vertically integrated liquid water content (VIL), which is estimated from three-dimensional radar observations as well as the 1-minute-resolution rainfall map obtained from the X-band polarimetric (multi-parameter) RAdar Information Network (XRAIN), to predict rainfall amounts over 10 minutes periods that extend to 10--60 minutes into the future. The spatial resolution of VIL Nowcast was 500 m, and nowcasts were produced at a temporal resolution of 5 minutes. Three precipitation events, of which two were isolated storms and one was a synoptic storm, were used as case studies to verify the model. The performance of VIL Nowcast was evaluated against the XRAIN radar rainfall data and an existing rainfall-rate nowcast system using the same advection scheme. The scope of the evaluation was limited mainly to the first prediction for 10 minutes ahead. It was found that VIL Nowcast showed a small, statistically significant improvement over the entire precipitation event, although its skill decreased at longer lead times and at higher thresholds. The key findings of this study are: (1) VIL Nowcast appears capable of generating skillful forecasts at short lead times, even for very localized heavy rainfall; (2) VIL Nowcast can reduce the time lag in the rainfall-rate nowcast system at initiation and peak precipitation; and (3) this system may improve the accuracy of heavy rainfall alerts provided for public activities and emergency alarms.

An X-band radar system was deployed in Santa Clara, CA from February through May 2016 to support the National Weather Service in the event of potential flooding during one of the largest El Niños on record and to provide better understanding of rainfall processes occurring in the Bay Area. The system was also used to provide high quality precipitation estimation (quantitative precipitation estimation - QPE) for Santa Clara’s urban hydrologic modeling system. Although the Bay Area has coverage from the NEXRAD operational radar network, the combination of topographic influences and proximity to a maritime environment provide unique QPE challenges in this urban region. The X-band radar provided high quality rainfall estimates that performed better than NEXRAD, demonstrating the added value of the X-band system. High resolution rainfall monitoring systems in urban regions also provide a host of benefits across different sectors of the economy, including flood damage mitigation, water quality, water supply, and transportation.

To elucidate the formation of a localized rainfall on a basin with heat and aridity under weak synoptic disturbance in summer, the characteristics of atmospheric conditions on the Kofu Basin preceding the appearance of primary precipitating cells were described from 23 localized rainfall events on the Kofu Basin on days of weak synoptic disturbance at the surface from 1 June to 30 September in 2012 to 2014. Furthermore, using the case study conducted on 25 July 2014, the formation of the atmospheric conditions was described from the standpoint of moisture behavior. Owing to the thermal contrast between the Kofu Basin with heat and aridity and the outside environment, the south-component wind blowing in the valley connecting it to the coastal region of Suruga Bay and the east-component wind blowing in the valley connecting it to the Kanto Plain entered the Kofu Basin as southwesterly wind and southeasterly wind, respectively, which caused an increase in the water vapor mixing ratio and a slight decrease in temperature at the surface. After that, the amount of precipitable water vapor derived by the global navigation satellite system observation (GNSS-PWV) at Nakamichi in the central region of the Kofu Basin increased abruptly after the moderate increase in GNSS-PWV at all the observation points on the Kofu Basin. Finally, a cloud appeared over the local region between the southwesterly wind and the southeasterly wind; the precipitating cells appeared here at 3.25 to 6.25 km above sea level. From the above results, the moisture transport to the Kofu Basin, the moisture concentration in the local region, and the appearance of precipitating cells were discussed as the formation of atmospheric conditions leading to a localized rainfall on a basin with heat and aridity.

本稿では、組織アイデンティティ研究分野において著名なHatch and Scultz (2002) の内容をレビューし、同論文の正確な理解を試みる。同論文では、組織アイデンティティと組織イメージ、組織文化との間で生じる動学的なプロセスをモデル化しており、こうしたプロセスが遮断された際、組織が陥る二つの機能不全について述べている。こうした機能不全は同論文内では並立して描かれているが、同時に起こり得るものではなく、図の解釈において注意が必要であるというのが本稿の主張である。

We propose radiation shielding using Martian magnetic anomalies to protect human crews on the Martian surface. We have simulated the trajectories of energetic protons using the Buneman-Boris method to measure how magnetic anomalies affect the impact rate on the Martian surface. Protons from the west can be completely eliminated, while those from the east are concentrated on the area between the magnetic poles. This would mean crews would need to concern themselves about radiation from the vertex and east only. A Martian magnetic anomaly can therefore be used to realize continuous and efficient radiation shielding.

The author studied the causal nature of the toxic action of copper-ions on the growth of rice plant. The growth of the rice plant compared, in water culture, under the following conditions : - (a) The root is placed in the nutrient solution without copper. (b) The root is placed in the nutrient solution with copper. (c) One half of the root is placed in the solution without copper while the other half with. And the following conclusions are obtained. (1) The rice plant absorbs easily copper-ions in the nutrient solution. (2) The greater part of copper-ions absorbed is fixed in the root. The function of the root, especially its absorptive function, is thereby injured. (3)This injurious effect inhibits the root from absorbing the further amounts of copper-ions which seem to protect itself from the further action of copper. (4) The absorption of nutrients is also inhibited. Then the plant growth does not proceed normally. (5) Though onehalf root is placed in the nutrient solution with copper the plant does not suffer an injurious effect even in the concentration of 100 ppm of copper-ions if the other half is placed in the solution without copper. When the entire root is placed in the nutrient solution containing copper the plant dies in a short time even in the concentration of 50 ppm of copper-ions. (6) The rice plant growth well until the copper content of the top reaches the concentration of 100 gamma per 1 g of air-dried sudstance, regardless of the supply of nutrient solution.

企業の事業転換においては技術資産転換の断行が成否を握っている.自社の保有する技術資産の把握,新規事業の立上げに必要な資産で不足するものの明確化とそれらの速やかな獲得,が求められる.これを効率よく進めるには,社内の異部門も含め社外の大学・企業に至るまで広く見渡し,必要な技術資産の源泉として選定し,協業を通じて技術獲得を進めるオープンイノベーションのプロセスが有用である.こうした事業転換プロセスを富士フイルムを例に考察した.また,未成熟市場の拡大を図るため,オープン化を活用したインセンティブの設定で,多数のプレーヤーの参加を加速する戦略も併せて考察した.

建築物の壁面につる植物を被覆させることによる夏期の壁面温度の上昇抑止効果を把握するための測定実験を行った。簡易建築物の南側につる植物で覆われた壁面とつる植物のない壁面とを設け, 壁面温度, 壁面での熱流の経時変化を, 晴れた日, 曇りの日, 晴れた日で室内は冷房, という3種類の異なった条件の日に計測した。そのうち1日の計測では, つる植物の葉からの水分の蒸散量, 地際の幹での樹液流速の計測, 熱赤外線ビデオカメラを用いた南側壁面全体の表面の温度分布の画像撮影をも行った。壁面の緑化により壁面の最高温度を約10℃低下させることができること等が確かめられた。また, 日中, 壁面緑化による壁面温度の低減量が大きくなるにつれて, 葉からの蒸散量も大きくなる傾向が見られた。
