青鳥特別支援学校は、わが国の「養護学校」制度がスタートする以前の1947 年に創立された知的障害教育の実験学校であり、今日までの特別支援教育における中等教育を担う中心的学校である。 本研究では、戦後から1974 年の養護学校義務制実施にいたるまでの法整備等の動きを整理し、青鳥特別支援学校の前身である青鳥中学校、青鳥養護学校における希望者全入の歴史を振り返り、その理念と教育方法の変遷について考察を加えた。その結果、戦後のわが国の知的障害教育の流れには、その法的整備等も含めインクルーシブ教育への底流があったことは間違いない。 筆者は、これからの特別支援教育の先に、生涯教育化の理念が重要であると捉える。「特別支援教育は特別でない」との言葉もあるが、これからの特別支援教育は、「障害」「障害者」「支援」等というキーワードではなく、「人間」「人権」「連続性」「幸福」等を念頭においた人間教育の視点から考えることが必要であると考える。その趣旨から、創価教育学体系の著者でもあり、本学の理念の礎である牧口常三郎の考えを通して、これからの特別支援教育の考察を試みた。Seicho Special Support School is an experimental school of education for the intellectually disabled established in 1947 before the system of "Yogo school" (school for handicapped children) started in Japan. Since its foundation, it has been a central school in charge of secondary education in the special needs education. In this article, we outline the major trends in the legislation from the end of WWII to the implementation of compulsory system of Yogo schools in 1974. Then we look back on the history of the open admission of all applicants at Seicho Middle School and Seicho Yogo School, the predecessors of Seicho Special School, and examine the transition of its philosophy and teaching methods. As a result, we feel certain that the tide toward inclusive education as well as its legislation has always lain beneath the education for the intellectually disabled in Japan after WWII. The authors consider that the idea of making special education into lifelong education is important beyond the special needs education in the future. As implied by the words "Special needs education is not special", we think it necessary to see the special needs education in the future from the viewpoint of human education bearing in mind the words like "human", "human rights", "continuity", "happiness" and so on, not the keywords like "disability", "disabled person", "support" and so forth. To that effect, we make an attempt to look at special needs education through the thought of Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, the author of "The Theory of Value-Creating Pedagogy" and the founder of the philosophy of Soka University.

This paper examines the home life of an urban middle-class household at the end of the Meiji Period as seen in Natsume Soseki’s full-length novel The Gate (1910). The character Sosuke, who resides in a three-person household with his wife and a gejo (maidservant) in a humble rented house nearly 20 minutes on foot from the final station of a rail line, lives in straitened circumstances. Despite his gloomy thoughts on a rainy day with a hole in the sole of his shoe, he cannot afford to buy new shoes.But why does this household, which is not particularly wealthy, have a live-in maidservant? This was because housework in a middle-class household at the end of theMeiji Period took so much time and effort that a full-time housewife could not complete the task herself. Gas lamps were the source of light, and meals were cooked using a shichirin, a small charcoal stove of clay or earthenware. The novel The Gate answers our question persuasively by depicting household articles and the living space in detail.

2017年7月2日に行われた東京都議会議員選挙は、小池百合子都知事率いる「都民ファーストの会」が圧勝し、自民党は歴史的大敗を喫した。本論文は、投票日前後での都議選に関係するキーワードを含むツィートを集め、その内容を解析したものである。研究の興味としては、ツィート数の時系列での変化、ツィートに含まれる単語の使用頻度分布、ツィート者数分布、リツィート数、被リツィート数分布などから、代表的SNSであるツィッターシステム上に流れる、都議会議員選挙関連情報の特徴を明らかにすることである。今回の解析の結果、都議会議員選挙関連のツィートの特徴として、リツィートの占める割合が非常に高いこと、異常に饒舌な参加者はいないことが明らかとなった。また、頻出単語を見る限り、"豊洲移転"や"受動喫煙"といった争点の話題は目立たず、ネガティブキャンペーンの単語の方が頻出していたという結果であった。

筆者らは2010年6月に長野県富士見町で冬鳥であるジョウビタキPhoenicurus auroreusの繁殖を確認した.この事例が偶発的なものか否かを確認するために,同地域で経年調査を実施した.その結果,ジョウビタキは富士見町で4年間繁殖を継続し,茅野市および塩尻市で2013年に4つがいが繁殖していた.したがって,ジョウビタキは八ヶ岳周辺で継続的に繁殖していると判断され,今後,繁殖地域の拡大が予想される.見つかった全ての巣はリゾート地ないし別荘地の定住者が居る建物の人工物の中に造られていた.

昨年の講演内容をこのように公刊誌に掲載いただき、誠に光栄に存じますと共に、いささか恐縮いたしております。大学時代に学んだ授業に触発され、私はシンガー・ソングライターを志しました。録音スタジオオーナーとの出会いを経て、オーディションに応募し、お誘いをいただきました。こだわりのある熱意を持ったプロダクションの所属となり、尊敬できる共演者たち、頼もしいスタッフ、温かいファンの方々に囲まれながら、華々しくはなくとも幸せな音楽人生を過ごして来ました。時には失敗や挫折も経験しながらの作詞、作曲、CD制作、ライブ活動、この約十年間を経て、オリジナリティは人生の中でとても大切なものであり、しかも、それは、個々人の感性によって作られることに気付きました。感性は、芸術鑑賞、恋愛や読書、旅などによっても磨かれますが、人とのつながりによる影響がとても大きいものです。本稿を読んで下さる皆様が、より良き感性を育まれ、生活においても仕事においても、より創造的な人生を歩まれるのなら、私にとってこんなにうれしいことはありません。The significance of indivisual originality in the activities of human life was reported from the perspective of a singer-songwriter by Ms. Akane Irihi in a special lecture on 12 December 2006, at the Common Education Center, Mie University. The 'musical' lessons that she recieved at Nara Education University encouraged her to become a musician and singer-songwriter. Thereafter she successfully auditioned her composition at a recording company in Tokyo. Numerous experiences in human co-relations (i.e. co-musicians, staffs and fans) helped her, to grow as a better musician. Through performances of her art (live performance, recordings and compositions of music) and life experiences over about 10 years, she found that originality in the activities of human life, including art, investigation and so on, is extremely important, and that originality is created by the unique sensitivities of each person, which are the result of human relations with other persons, appreciation of arts, book readings, travels and so on. It seems that young persons should be encouraged to grow the good sensitivities in their lives, thanking people for supporting them, in order to promote better dreams and happiness for their lives and works in the future.

ジェーン・オースティンは、作品名にもなっている主人公、エマについて、「私以外だれも好きになれそうにないヒロイン」と書いている。このように、文学作品では好感が持てるとは言い難い語り手や人物が登場する場合も多い。『嵐が丘』のヒースクリフ然り、さらには『ジーキル博士とハイド氏の怪事件』のハイド氏、『ロリータ』のハンバート・ハンバート、『華麗なるギャツビー』のジェイ・ギャツビー、『日の名残り』のスティーブンス、そして『ソーラー』のマイケル・ビアードもまた然りである。本稿は、2016 年10 月30 日に徳島大学で開催された第9 回Japan Writers Conference (JWC) で発表しており、今回は人から好かれにくい人々が登場する作品がどのように成功をおさめ、主人公が魅力的でないにもかかわらず、なぜ読者が物語に引き込まれるのかを考察する。"I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like," wrote Jane Austen of her eponymous protagonist Emma. Literature is populated with narrators and main characters who are not likeable: Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights), Mr Hyde (The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde), Humbert Humbert (Lolita), Jay Gatsby (The Great Gatsby), Stevens (Remains of the Day) and Michael Beard (Solar). This paper, originally presented at the 9th Japan Writers' Conference at Tokushima University on 30 October 2016, will examine how the novels in which these characters appear achieve success, and why we care what happens, despite the unlikeable protagonists.

A basic pattern making of upper trunk (short-measurement drafting system) was conceived using only human body measurements. We presumed that a closely and simply covered garment was a nearly developable surface similar to polyhedron, and applied the principles of surface development method, with the consideration of the characteristics of fabrics and the simplicity in clothing pattern making. Body measurements, drafting and wearing tests were done. Waist line was assumed as horizontal. Body surface lengths which use for drafting of development were measured with a measuring tape. Plan views for development were made by the horizontal cross-sections of different parts of upper trunk being drafted by 3-dimensional measuring apparatus. Basic pattern contour was drafted using width of pattern determined by the plan views and tape-measured values. Waist darts, from plan views, were entered in basic pattern. The test was conducted on the right half of body, using nine plasters models and one “body.” Results were found mostly appropriate, but some shortage was noted in outside cloth due to sewing allowance. In conclusion, extra 0.1-0.2 cm was added to 4 items of shoulder part. The reported system will effectively serve not only for individual pattern makings, and for the determination of data notation of upper trunk models, but also for the correction of proportionally-drafted basic patterns and scrutiny of drafting systems.

Objectives: We aimed to examine the relationship between the hip range of motion (ROM) and ankle ROM and throwing-related shoulder and elbow injuries in elementary school baseball pitchers.Methods: This retrospective comparative study (Level of evidence: Level III) included 195 baseball pitchers (mean age 10.8±1.0 years, range 8–12 years). All pitchers underwent physical function measurements, including height, weight, shoulder strength, and hip and ankle ROM. Shoulder and elbow injury was defined as shoulder and elbow pain that the pitchers had been aware of in the past or at the time of medical checkups. The results for the injured and non-injured groups were then compared.Results: The shoulder ROM and strength in the injured and non-injured groups did not differ to a statistically significant extent. The hip external rotation on the dominant side (injured vs. non-injured: 48.9±11.1° vs. 53.3±9.7°, P<0.01), the hip internal rotation on the non-dominant side (injured vs. non-injured: 36.6±12.0° vs. 40.9±11.0°, P=0.01), and ankle plantar flexion on the non-dominant side (injured vs. non-injured: 52.0±6.8° vs. 54.3±6.7°, P=0.02) were significantly smaller in the injured group than in the non-injured group.Conclusions: The hip external rotation ROM on the dominant side and the hip internal rotation and ankle plantar flexion on the non-dominant side were significantly lower in the injured group than in the non-injured group. These results may suggest measures to reduce the incidence of elbow and shoulder injuries in elementary school baseball pitchers.

53歳タイ在住日本人男性.前立腺癌に対し当院泌尿器科でフォローされていたが,PSA上昇傾向あり,2015年6月に病勢評価目的の前立腺生検を企画され,入院2日前に帰国した.入院前日に術前検査として血液検査を施行したところ,CK 13,631IU/Lと異常高値が判明した.翌日の再検査ではCK 29,836IU/Lと更に上昇を認め,血清ミオグロビン 3,289.0ng/mL,尿中ミオグロビン 26,000ng/mL,CKアイソザイムはMM型が100%であった.後の問診により,帰国後入院するまでの2日間に公共温泉施設で電気風呂に入浴していたことが判明した.製造業者の推奨する電気風呂の入浴方法は「3分以内,1日2,3回」とされているところ,本症例は入院2日前に30分,1日前に60分と想定を遥かに超える長時間の入浴を行っていた.経過中腎機能障害は認めず,予定通り生検を施行した上で安静及び補液にて経過観察とし,CK値は入院2日目の42,355IU/Lをピークに改善傾向となり,入院5日目に5,979IU/Lまで低下を確認したところで退院となった.医中誌Webにおいて「電気風呂」の検索結果はわずか3件で,うち2件がCK上昇に関するもの,うち1件は電気風呂により植込み型除細動器が誤作動したという報告であった.過去の報告では入浴時間が長いほどCKの上昇を認めた.長時間の電気風呂の入浴は横紋筋融解症を来し,重篤な結果に至る可能性も懸念されることから,適正な入浴時間の啓発が必要である.

本論文は、パソコン通信のフリーチャットに典型的に見られる、匿名性のコミュニケーションを分析し、電子架空空間で成立する匿名性のコミュニティの諸性質について論じる。その際に、都市社会学の観点からの分析を試みる。パソコン通信を都市社会学の観点から議論する試みにはほとんど前例がない。本論文で提起されるいくつかの仮説は、今後のメディア論に一定の影響を与えると思われる。
