A case of inverted tooth eruption in the nasal cavity is reported. A 59-year-old female was referred to the Kyushu Dental College Hospital for evaluation of a fistula in the palate by her dentist. The patient complained of nasal discharge and discomfort in the left nasal cavity. Radiographic examination revealed an inverted tooth in the left nasal cavity. Literature on the inverted tooth was surveyed for the past ten-year, and age, sex, tooth forms, symptoms, and etiology of the inverted tooth were also discussed.

シングルソースデータからユーザの購買行動を引き起こした要因を推定するための購買行動モデルを提案する.シングルソースデータとは,商品の購買履歴と広告閲覧履歴とを各ユーザ ID に紐づけて収集したものである.1) 個人の嗜好,2) 他者から受ける影響,3) メディア広告から受ける影響の 3 つの要因に基づく確率過程にしたがって起こるものとしてユーザの購買行動をモデル化する.提案モデルは購買行動が起こった時刻において各要因がどの程度影響しているかを分析することにより,購買行動を引き起こした要因を推定することができる.実シングルソースデータを用いた評価実験では,提案モデルが比較手法よりも高精度にユーザの購買行動を予測可能なことを確認した.この結果は,提案モデルがユーザの購買行動をより正しく説明できることを示しており,提案モデルにより推定された購買要因が妥当であることを示唆するものである.さらに,企業による TV 広告がどの程度購買につながったかという観点で広告効果を分析した結果について報告する.

This research examines how the linkages between different types of social networks and subjective wellbeing(SWB)vary across gender and age through structural equation modeling. Data came from a nationwide survey for older adults conducted in 1999 (N=3,482). SWB was measured by life satisfaction and depressive symptoms. A three-factors model for social networks showed a good fit, consisting of child contact, informal contact with friends and neighbors, and social participation related to groups/volunteer activities. The effects of four types of networks (i.e., spouse and the three factors) on SWB were compared among the 4 gender×age groups. Gender differences were more prominent among the young-old (63-74 years old) than the old-old (75 and over), namely, the effects of being married and social participation on life satisfaction were greater for males than females, whereas informal contact was more important for female life satisfaction and depression. Among the old-old, the association between child contact and SWB was stronger than among the young-old. Further research is needed to ascertain whether the age differences result from aging and/or cohort variations.

It is a report of the practice of active learning using "The tales of Ise" in "Classical literature". Members of a class made material, and reported it based on this material. And they discussed. The characteristic of "The tales of Ise" is that "Uta" asks a story and a story decides meaning of "Uta", and the stories using "Uta" are arranged. Members of a class made "Uta" and story using "Uta". And they arranged stories using "Uta". As survey results we found out that active learning is effective, but correspondence with targets of a subject is insufficient. It is necessary to improve the targets and methods.

現代は宗教と倫理の相剋の時代である。しかしこの相剋は必ずしも現代固有の現象ではなく、宗教の側からは古代のイサク献供物語、倫理の側からはアリストテレスの倫理学以来、繰り返し指摘されて来た。後者についてはカント、和辻らの批判があり、特に和辻は空の哲学から倫理の宗教的基礎について語った。しかし和辻自身はその構想を貫徹したとは言えない。また前者については、キルケゴール、レヴィナス、西田幾多郎らの解釈が注目される。特に西田の絶対矛盾的自己同一的神理解は、この物語の新たな読解のために示唆を与える。これらを踏まえ、あわせティリッヒの思索を顧みる時、我々は「宗教」「倫理」両概念ともに再解釈することを迫られる。その結果、宗教とは主観客観図式を超えた無制約的なものと関わることであり、倫理とは人格の統合を促す形で他者との共生を指示する理路であると再定義される。こう理解し直す時、両者相剋の克服の方途もまた、見えて来るに違いない。

静岡県駿東郡小山町は,300年前の富士山の噴火によってスコリア (岩滓) が厚く堆積している状況である。厚く堆積したスコリアは近年の豪雨により流出し,甚大な被害をもたらした。そこで,地域住民らが所有する山地での災害を未然に防ぐため,スコリア堆積地を植生回復させ,植物の根系緊縛力によるスコリア流出を抑制する試みを行った。本稿では,山地を所有している住民自らが行った,スコリア堆積地の防災対策事例について報告する。

This paper will discuss the Ottoman capitals and palaces in the fifteenth to sixteenth century through the study of contemporary chronicles. Contrary to the common belief that after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 Istanbul had become the sole Ottoman capital, with Topkapi palace as the center of royal political ceremonies and residence, the sultans frequently stayed in the former capital Edirne and presided over the political affairs till the reign of Suleyman I starting from 1520. Also, it turned out that various palaces in Istanbul other than Topkapi, had been used for residential and ceremonial purposes in the late sixteenth century.

This paper will discuss the creation of Edirne Old Palace by the Ottoman dynasty in the first half of the fifteenth century. Although the local Ottoman sources scarcely mention this palace, the travelogs and letters of contemporary European travelers explicate its inner structure. According to these reports, existence of the ceremonial courtyard and the Chamber of Petitions in Edirne Old Palace is proved. Prior to the construction of Topkapi Palace in Istanbul built during1460s, Edirne Old Palace provided the prototype for subsequent premodern Ottoman palaces.
