The development of open-domain conversational systems is difficult since user utterances are too flexible for such systems to respond properly. To address this flexibility, previous research on conversational systems has selected system utterances from web articles based on word-level similarity with user utterances; however, the generated utterances, which originally appeared in different contexts from the conversation, are likely to contain irrelevant information with respect to the input user utterance. To leverage the variety of web corpus in order to respond to the flexibility and suppress the irrelevant information simultaneously, we propose an approach that generates system utterances with two strongly related phrase pairs: one that composes the user utterance and another that has a dependency relation to the former. By retrieving the latter one from the web, our approach can generate system utterances that are related to the topics of user utterances. We examined the effectiveness of our approach with following two experiments. The first experiment, which examined the appropriateness of response utterances, showed that our proposed approach significantly outperformed other retrieval and rule-based approaches. The second one was a chat experiment with people, which showed that our approach demonstrated almost equal performance to a rule-based approach and outperformed other retrieval-based approaches.

重回帰分析に代表される説明変数の線形結合モデルは,その適用において単純な数式による真の関係の近似という以上の積極的な根拠を従来持っていなかった.本稿では特定の条件下で,社会学的仮定から導出された数理モデルによって,線形結合モデルが基礎づけられることを示し,計量分析で用いられる統計モデルに対して,単なるあてはめではない理論的な根拠を与えることを目指す.具体的には階層帰属意識研究におけるFararo-Kosakaモデルと地位継承モデルが重回帰モデルの基礎付けとなり得ることを示し,階層帰属意識研究という文脈における,計量モデルと数理モデルの統合的な発展の条件を検討する.

本研究では,マルチタスク環境にスクラッチパッドメモリを活用することにより,組込みシステムの命令メモリにおける消費エネルギーの削減を目指す.固定優先度付きの周期タスクが複数存在するシステムに対応した,スクラッチパッドメモリ領域分割方針を提案する.提案するスクラッチパッドメモリ領域分割方針は,領域分割法,時間分割法,および混合分割法の3種類である.各方針について,タスクごとの領域分割およびコード割当てを同時に決定可能な整数計画問題として定式化する.評価実験を行い,提案手法の有効性を確認した.

It is very difficult for us to decide the time when the beginning1 of the modern forestry in Japan dated from. But considering the correlations of forestry with other industries and the conditions of marketing of forest products, I think it may be sought in the time between the end of the Meiji and the early Taisho .period, when the main timber-producing districts arose one after another. Just before that time, the amendment of the forest law was realized in 1907 and subsequently a series of the forestal policies was begun. They were the bounty policies and had originally formed a part of the program of the industrial exploitation after the Russo-Japanese War. But in course of time, the substantial character of these policies changed in quality and after all they, became to aim at rather the problems of the public forests, above all, the consolidation of owner-ship of the hamlet forest lands, than the exploitation of the private forests. In addition to it, by the appearance of the Shinrin-Chisui-Jigyo (the flood control afforestation project) the encouragement of afforestation was proceeded, but this project was inclined to give priority to afforestation for rather flood control than exploitation of forest production. Such evolvement of these forestal policies was reflected on the tendency at that time that in spite of the advancement of tree planting, above all on the public forests, the output of forest production, the fall for timber and fuel, stagnated or declined.

Abstract We conducted underwater observations on courtship and spawning be-haviors of the tetrarogidid fish, Hypodytes rubripinnis in Kyushu Island, Japan. The reproductive behavior and seasonal changes of gonad somatic index on col-lected specimens showed that spawning occurred from late April to early August. Individuals of various sizes in both sexes reproduced in the study area. About 90 min before sunset, a male courted a female actively with several patterns of be-haviors such as male's lying by a female in a side-by-side position, display of his lateral side around a female, and male's riding on a female back. Finally, the pair swam toward 20 to 100 cm above the bottom to release gametes. Spawning time was around sunset. The average egg number in each spawning was about 1600. Upward rush of the pair to the middle water occurred very quickly. Frequent sneaking behavior by another male was also observed.

2011年6月,11月とTOP500リストで世界一となったスーパーコンピュータ「京」は2012年6月に完成し2012年9月末から共用が開始されている。応用分野でも先駆的な「京」利用者がゴードン・ベル賞を2011年,2012年と2年連続で受賞する等成果を上げ始めている。本報告ではスーパーコンピュータ「京」について,概要,完成までの道のりと現状,運用と共用体制,計算資源配分,利用課題の公募・選定方法と2012年度の採択結果,産業利用のための支援や拠点,利用可能なソフトウェア等,共用がどのように行われているか産業利用を中心に紹介する。

本研究では、ハイパーメディアによる情報検索活動と直接体験を組み合わせたオープン性の高い単元を構成し、児童の学習の支援を目指した。単元の学習を分析した結果、学習は情報検索の活動から情報発見と新たな活動へ、そして見学を含む他のメディアによる情報活動に発展していき、その結果(1)伝統工業に携わる人々の苦労に関する知識の構成と、(2)知識の実感とそれに基づく知識の再構成という、クローズドな学習ではできなかった学習の支援が可能になったことが明らかになった。

体育の「跳び箱運動」で,教師がどの程度実技を提示できるかを調査し,高学年の種目において,動画コンテンツの有用性について検討した.また,動画コンテンツを活用した授業実践を進め,子どもの意識調査や習熟状況を分析し,動画コンテンツを活用した場合の学習効果について検討し,自ら課題を明確にさせる上で学習効果があることを明らかにした.また,動画コンテンツを用いた学習は早い段階でさせた方がいいことを示した.

We evaluated the softness of various silicone elastomers installed on a tactile evaluation system. The softness of the elastomers was reflected by the vertical force when subjects pushed the elastomers with their fingers. The moving behavior depended on the elastic properties of the contacted objects; namely, a pushing pattern and a sliding pattern were observed for the soft and hard elastomers, respectively.

In the management information field, the language education of a computer is important. In the conventional language education, it is a curriculum centering on grammar. However we are able to learn the essence of a management information system trough developing an operation system. In this paper, we propose the methodology in which beginners can also develop an operation system easily. First, students deepen knowledge of an operation system by experiencing a business game. Next, students develop system. By developing system, students use structured programming and object-oriented approach. Our methodology is also method by active learning.
