The massive effects of innovation in information technology and its spread have been discussed from various angles for some time now. Formerly, the central issue was streamlining information conveyance, but technology issues have brought cognitive theory and sociological trends too within the scope of the discussion, while there is also an increasingly conspicuous movement toward reassessing the idea of "information" itself. Based on data from previous discussions, this paper shall propose a distinct interpretation of the structure of networked continuity, by newly utilizing considerations "continuous being" and "predicate".

Fugendake, the main peak of Unzen Volcano of Kyushu Island in southwest Japan, started to erupt on November 17, 1990, after 198 years of dormancy, and lava extrusion has continued over three years since May 1991. Hypocenters of earthquakes which occurred before and during that eruption were precisely determined using P-wave arrival time data from five selected seismic stations near the focal region. The hypocenters in Chijiwa Bay are distributed in Chijiwa Caldera. Two linear arrangements of epicenters directed nearly from west to east emerged clearly in the western part of the Shimabara Peninsula, whose hypocentral depths became shallower toward the summit of Fugendake. The distribution of hypocenters is restricted by the fault systems which have been formed by the crustal movements of Unzen Graben. The stress which generates these earthquakes is dominated mainly by the north-south extension ; consistent with the regional tectonic stress. The directions of pressure axes are controlled by the magmatic pressure beneath the focal region. It is inferred from the hypocentral distribution and the orientations of pressure axes that the magma involved in the 1990-94 eruption is situated below an inclined boundary between seismic and aseismic regions in the western part of the Shimabara Peninsula. The magma ascent path is located at 13±2 km in depth beneath the western shore of the Shimabara Peninsula, becoming shollower eastward with an angle of elevation of 40〜50°.

2009年春作~2010年春作にかけて,亜リン酸肥料 (ホスプラス: 大塚化学製,アリンサンデス2号: 日本医薬品開発研究所製) のトマト疫病に対する防除効果について試験した。トマトは品種 「桃太郎」 を使い,春秋2回露地条件下で試験した。2009年春・秋作では液体肥料を使い,500倍または1,000倍に希釈した各液肥を,肩掛け式電動小型噴霧器により疫病の初発前から1週間毎に合計4回散布 (200L/10a) し,最終散布7日後に効果を判定した。この結果,対照のマンゼブ・メタラキシル剤より防除効果は劣るものの,亜リン酸液肥散布区では41.1~76.5に及ぶ防除価を示し,効果が認められた。次いで,省力防除を目的に粉末にした肥料 (アリンサンデス2号の10%または20%含有肥料,日本医薬品開発研究所試作) を使い,苗処理による本病防除効果を調べた。粉末肥料を5gまたは10gの割合でトマト苗移植時の植穴に処理した場合, 防除効果は認められなかった。しかし,育苗時に1gまたは2gの粉末肥料を小型 (9号) ポットの園芸培土と混和して育成した苗を圃場へ移植した場合は,処理量等により効果は異なるものの,防除価で15.1~56.7の効果を示し,一定の効果が認められ有効であると考えられた。

九州中・西部の地殻内地震活動およびそれらの発震機構から推定される地殻応力場の特徴を調べた。その結果, 地震活動については, 別府-島原地溝帯や日奈久断層系など当該地域の顕著な地質構造に対応した帯状または線状の分布が明かになった。また, 天草灘では, 地溝の両側の縁に沿って2重の地震活動帯が明瞭に認められた。発震機構については横ずれ型が卓越している。張力軸はおおよそ南北であり, 地殻変動から推定される広域地殻応力場と矛盾しないが, 起震応力としては東西圧縮力が無視できない。さらに, 深発地震を用いて最上部マントルのS波偏光異方性を調べた結果, 先行S波の偏光は, 別府-島原地溝帯を境にその北側と南側でそれぞれ北西-南東方向と北東-南西方向に卓越する可能性が示された。

On the examination of the disturbance of skin from residusal ethylene oxide (EO) in the operating gloves, the patch test on bilateral anterior antebrachial regions of 30 volunteers (male) was done with fixing small pieces of natural rubber (NR) sorbing EO. Even in the case of the residual EO concentration in the NR pieces below 100 ppm, the redness was detected for a few volunteers. For above 200 ppm, this symptom was more considerable. For preventing the disturbance, it is necessary to keep the residual EO concentration in the gloves low enough.

Koganei Cherry Street is located along Tamagawa canal in Tokyo and designated as a national cultural property. However, in recent years decline of cherry trees of this street is concerned about shading from surrounding other trees and incidence of wood-rot disease. We tried to survey the current condition of wood-rot fungi distribution on the cherry trees and to examine the effect of shading on the fungal occurrence. The survey was conducted five times through 2005 to 2007, identifying the fruit bodies of wood-rot fungi and measuring the tree size and the proportion of shaded canopy. In 2007, fruit bodies of wood-rot fungi composed of 38 species in 28 genus were found on 51.5% of 666 cherry trees. Shading did not show significant effect on the occurrence of fruit bodies. On the other hand, tree size had a significant effect and the larger trees suffered form wood-rot disease more frequently than smaller trees.

リスクベースドテストは,テスト対象の機能や属性のリスクを数値化し,その値に応じて合理的にテストを削減する技法である.しかし,リスク分析を失敗すると,テストを減らして品質低下を招く可能性もある.そこで我々は,リスクベースドテストにおけるリスク分析が妥当かどうかを重回帰分析などの統計的な手法で評価する方法を考え,実際のプロジェクトに適用して有効性を確認した.本稿ではその取り組みについてまとめる.
