本論文の目的は,1965-2000年の35年間の日本大都市圏を対象として通勤距離の変化動向とその要因を把握することである.結果は以下の通りである.(1)1965-1975年には,全大都市圏における就業者数が急速に増加し,通勤距離の変化率も大きく増加した.特に,三大都市圏においての増加が顕著であった.これは,就業者数の増加による通勤距離が長くなり,大都市圏の通勤圏域が広がったこと,ニュータウン等の住宅団地の計画や開発が要因として考えられる.(2)1975-1985年には通勤距離の増加の伸び率が小さくなったが,引き続き住宅団地の開発,空港等の雇用拠点の開発等による通勤距離の増加が見られた.(3)1985-1990年はバブル期であり,全大都市圏で就業者数の変化率が大きく,常住・従業距離の変化率も増加した.特に,京浜葉,京阪神,中京,北九州・福岡大都市圏での通勤距離の変化率が急増した.(4)1990-2000年は景気が減退し,全ての大都市圏で就業者数と通勤距離の増加率が小さくなり,1995-2000年では,札幌大都市圏以外の大都市圏で就業者数は減少傾向であった.特に,京浜葉,京阪神大都市圏では通勤距離の減少傾向とともに,都心部での常住距離の増加も見られた.

Numerous studies on serum enzymes derived from skeletal muscle, such as CH, AST, LDH, are also being reported in the field of sports medicine. In this article, I would like to summarize the findings on “physical exercise and serum enzymes” studied up to the present. Secondly, I will evaluate the usefulness and limits as indicators of condition and muscle fatigue in athletes. The amount of change and time course of Ch, AST, LDH and myoglobin responses were markedly different in 5-km, marathon and triathalon races, and in trained and untrained subjects. Trained subjects showed peaks of these enzymes one day after endurance running, and untrained subjects had a typical biphasic variation after endurance running. The typical change in untrained subjects might reflect a series of different histopathological changes, including muscle damage, repair and regeneration of muscles. In participants of women's marathon races, higher ranking prize winners showed lower levels before and lower increases in Ch activity after the mice than the other participants. higher serum CIA activity above 300 mU/ml accompanied by increases in serum myosin light chain I (MLC I) concentration (above 2.5 ng/ml) without increases in troponin T and CN-MIA were observed during marathon, triathalon, 100-km and 250 km ultra marathon races. The athletes who showed a higher serum CK activity above 500 mU/ml at the pre-race stage felt subjective fatigue and sonic dropped out from the race. Normal persons who had a lower Ch activity below 40.50 mU/ml indi cated lower levels of serum HDL-C and physical fitness (VO2max) . On the contrary, persons who showed a higher CR level of 100-200 mU/ml or more had higher levels of IIDL-C and VO2max.Measurement of serum CK activity might provide useful information for checking health and physical fitness levels in normal persons, and also the physical and subjective conditions of athletes.

重力マイクロレンズ法は,氷境界の数倍外側に位置する惑星を検出する事ができ,地球質量程度の惑星にまで感度がある.この手法によって30個以上の惑星が発見され,それらは他の観測手法では検出が難しい惑星である.また,重力マイクロレンズ法でのみ検出可能な浮遊惑星も検出され,それらの数量まで見積もられている.日本,ニュージーランドが主体の国際共同研究グループ,MOAはこれまでの惑星検出に多くの貢献をしてきた.本稿では,重力マイクロレンズ法の原理,MOAの日々の観測について説明する.また,惑星が発見されたときのエピソードを交えて,これまでの重要な発見を紹介する.

『きこえについての質問紙2002』のうち “聞こえにくさ” に関わる10項目を, 補聴器適合のための主観評価法として応用することを目指し, 補聴器装用者232例 (軽~高度難聴), および補聴器適合を行った軽中等度難聴82例 (補聴器装用前・装用後ともに資料あり) の回答を解析した。解析結果をもとに, 軽中等度, 高度の群別に得た各項目の回答スコアの中央値, および装用前からの1以上のスコア軽減を評価基準とする補聴器適合のための評価表を試作した。中央値以下のスコアを得た項目数が, 補聴器に対する全体としての満足度, および装用時の語音明瞭度と有意な正の相関を示し, スコアの中央値を評価基準とすることの妥当性が示唆された。以上から, “聞こえにくさ” 10項目と評価表を, 適合評価のために応用できると結論した。

So far, the use of superconducting magnets has been limited to chemical analysis and medical inspection. To develop a new use, we have tried to apply common MRI devices as nondestructive sugar content detector of watermelon. To estimate the sugar content, a new technique using multiple regression analysis of two NMR relaxation times was developed. It was found that the coefficient of multiple regression at the center of the watermelon exceeded 0.9 and the standard error of prediction was around 0.5, and that the over-ripened part of flesh called ‘nieka’ in watermelon could be distinguished because its T2 was much longer than that of the oridinary part. An evaluation rate of sugar content could be below 6s per watermelon. It is concluded that multiple analysis of T1 and T2 on intact watermelon can be applied as a non-invasive, nondestructive indicator of sugar content.

Kounis症候群とはアレルギー反応に伴い急性冠症候群をきたす症候群であり, 冠攣縮に合併したタイプ1とプラーク破裂に伴う血栓形成に起因するタイプ2に分類される. 今回, われわれはKounis症候群により心肺停止をきたした2症例を経験したので報告する.<BR>症例1: 76歳, 男性. 腰部脊中柱管狭窄症の術中にセフォペラゾンを投与したところ, アナフィラキシーショックを発症した. 下壁誘導にてST上昇を認めたため急性冠症候群と診断, 緊急冠動脈造影にて右冠動脈#1に血栓および#4AVに完全閉塞を認めた. 血栓吸引療法のみで再疎通が得られた.<BR>症例2: 61歳, 男性. 起床時より四肢・体幹に蕁麻疹を認め, その後, 心肺停止となり, 当院へ搬送された. 心肺蘇生術にて心拍再開したが, その後, 心室頻拍が頻発, 急性冠症候群を疑い緊急冠動脈造影を施行した. 冠動脈に有意狭窄は認めなかったが, 心電図上胸部誘導で一時的にST上昇を認めたため, 左前下行枝の冠攣縮と診断した.

A 30-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with high fever and chest pain. She had a ventricular septal defect, but was asymptomatic and had not undergone surgical repair. She also had had atopic dermatitis since childhood that had not been adequately treated. Chest computed tomography showed multiple peripheral nodules and infiltrates in both lungs. A transthoracic echocardiogram detected vegetation on the wall of the right ventricle, and Staphylococcus aureus was cultured from a peripheral blood sample. She was diagnosed as having a septic pulmonary embolism associated with right-sided infective endocarditis caused by S. aureus. She was treated with Cefazolin, resulting in gradual improvement of laboratory and chest radiographic findings. Recent studies have revealed that atopic dermatitis is one of the risk factors for infective endocarditis. In this case, uncontrolled atopic dermatitis might have caused the right-sided infective endocarditis.

The GHQ28 was used to find the effects that residential environments have on women’s mental health during the period from the subjects’ pregnancy up to thirteen months after childbirth. The result show, the areas of convenience, relationship with housemates affected their mental health status. Also, the mental health of those property owners and single house families was poor and as the number of rooms increased, the mental health status deteriorated.

This paper describes the use of a self-tuning fuzzy prediction algorithm for wind speed and wind direction in typhoon area. The wind speed and wind direction have been measured by an anemovane on the top of a power-transmission tower. First, the fuzzy prediction rules are adjusted by a tuning algorithm so that the estimated data agree with the measured data for the past typhoon. After tuning process is completed, the wind speed and wind direction for a different typhoon are predicted by using the tuned fuzzy rules and the current data. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.
