神奈川県内の哺乳類の生息状況が異なる2つの緑地においてスタンプ板を用いた足跡トラップの有効性を検証するために,スタンプ板と自動撮影カメラを「けもの道」に設置して両者の調査効率を比較した。両手法におけるタヌキやアライグマなどの中型食肉目の出現頻度には正の相関が得られた。しかし,その値自体はスタンプ板調査よりも自動撮影調査の方が4-5倍高かった。動物のスタンプ板に対する反応をみると,アライグマとイエネコでは他種よりもスタンプ板の上を通過する割合が1.5-1.7倍高かったのに対し,アナグマでは他種よりも板の脇をすり抜ける割合が2-3倍高く,スタンプ板への反応には種間差が存在した。すなわち,スタンプ板調査は自動撮影調査よりも動物の検出力に劣るが,主要な中型食肉目の生息確認のような定性的な調査には十分な能力を有していた。さらにスタンプ板調査では低価格で盗難の可能性も低く,取り扱いが容易であるという利点があった。スタンプ板調査における実用的な方法の長短所を議論した。

'Gentrification' is a process in which a working-class or a vacant area of a city center transforms into middle-class residential or commercial district. The middle-class people who have migrated to those areas are called 'gentrifiers'. In the 80s, because it came to be widely understood that this process contributed to the rise in rents and the displacement of low-income residents, the resistance against 'gentrification' grew in intensity. East Village, the setting of Rent, was very famous for this resistance. There is, however, interesting difference between the resistance in Rent and that of East Village. Jonathan Larson, the author, does not depict, as a main character, local people in this musical, who were, of course, leading players in the actual resistance. The participants in his version of the resistance were only so called 'pioneer gentriflers'. At the early stage of 'gentrification', 'pioneer gentrifiers' move into deteriorated areas. The influx of these people makes socially, culturally mixed and exciting communities. At the same time, though, it can cause the upward pressure on rents, and then, full-scale gentrification begins, which, in turn, displaces not only local people but also lower income 'pioneer gentrifiers'. In this thesis, I will consider what the author really wants to represent in this musical. He does not try to depict the resistance against the East Village gentrification itself. What he wants to depict is his ideal version of gentrification, which would make communities more energetic and exciting.

これまで地域活性化に貢献するメディアとして注目されてきたのが、映画やテレビのロケ地を訪問するロケ巡りであった。それが、アニメの舞台になった地区を訪問する聖地巡礼が、こここ数年大きな注目を集めている。本研究では、地域活性化の手段として、アナログ時代からロケ地巡りとデジタル・ネット時代の聖地巡礼までのメディア効果の特徴について報告する。

The Course of Study for upper secondary schools published in 2008 requires an increase in the number of language activities. This requirement is certain to affect content in coursebooks: the number of language activities in coursebooks should be increased. This present study therefore seeks to uncover and describe the changes in frequency and form of language activities in coursebooks between those based on the previous Course of Study, and those based on the current one. In the study, language activities placed after each main text were classified into four categories based on Littlewood's framework (Littlewood, 1981). The main results are that the number of language activities has increased to 550 from 517, and that the difference between functional communication activities and social interaction activities in coursebooks for English Communication I and II is considerably smaller than that for English I and II.

我々は,自動掃除機 TMRoomba とのダンスを通じて部屋を掃除する社交ダンスシステムを提案する.本システムは,実時間で深度情報を得られるマイクロソフト社の TMKinect とオープンソースライブラリ OpenNI を用いて人間の動作を認識し,それに応じて Roomba の動作を制御する.制御に必要な Roomba の位置・姿勢は ARToolkit のマーカーを用いて計測する.動作として社交ダンスを採用することで,Roomba での掃除にエンターテイメント性を付加する.社交ダンスの振付は,パートナとの位置関係と男性の動作で示されるリードによって決定されるため,ユーザーがリードに関する知識を持つことで,Roomba をパートナーとしたダンスによる掃除が可能となる.本稿では,まずシステム構成及びダンス認識による掃除制御アルゴリズムを述べ,次に予備的な実験結果によりシステムの有効性を示す.This paper proposes a novel and entertaining room cleaning system using TMRoomba. In this system, a Roomba is controlled by its user through a ballroom dance, Rumba. The user's motion is captured by Microsoft's TMKinect, analyzed by OpenNI, and recognized as a dance partner's motion which leads the Roomba's motion, as a lady's motion. The position and the posture of the Roomba is measured by ARToolkit using a marker attached on the Roomba. This paper first presents the system overview, and then describes the algorithms for dance recognition and Roomba control. We demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed system with a preliminary result, and finally perspectives on this study are mentioned
