The random number generator is one of the important components of evolutionary algorithms. Therefore, when we try to solve function optimization problems using the evolutionary algorithms, we must carefully choose a good pseudo-random number generator. In the evolutionary algorithms, the pseudo-random number generator is often used for creating uniformly distributed individuals. In this study, as the low-discrepancy sequences allow us to create individuals more uniformly than the random number sequences, we apply the low-discrepancy sequence generator, instead of the pseudo-random number generator, to the evolutionary algorithms. Since it was difficult for some evolutionary algorithms, such as binary-coded genetic algorithms, to utilize the uniformity of the sequences, the low-discrepancy sequence generator was applied to real-coded genetic algorithms. The numerical experiments show that the low-discrepancy sequence generator improves the search performances of the real-coded genetic algorithms.

米を原料とした加工の異なる米菓と炊飯米を対象とし,アミラーゼを用いた人工消化試験による生成糖量を測定した.米菓両群は反応5分後から反応終了60分まで炊飯米と比較して有意に生成糖量が増加した.次に間食を想定した炭水化物量を被験者に摂取させ,食後血糖値の変化から消化速度を比較した.米菓両群は炊飯米と比較して,食後15分と30分で有意に血糖値が上昇した.RVA曲線の最終粘度から,米菓両群の製品は炊飯米と比較して低い値を示し,蒸練工程によりデンプンの低分子化が生じたと推察した.米菓は焼成工程により大小様々な空隙の形成が電子顕微鏡写真により観察され,米菓両群の比容積は炊飯米と比較して有意に高い値であった.これらのことから米菓製造工程でデンプンの低分子化および空隙が形成されるために,デンプンの消化速度が速くなったと示唆される.

U Minh Thuong National Park is a key site for wetland biodiversity conservation in Vietnamese Mekong Delta. This paper outlines a field experiment carried out in U Minh Thuong National Park in the dry season 2019. The study aimed to compare methane emissions and related physicochemical soil and water parameters between the Peat swamp forest and Melaleuca forest. The results show that both water and soil parameters at 8 examined sites in Melaleuca forest and Peat swamp forest fluctuated highly over the sampling intervals. The average hourly C-CH4 emission rates in Melaleuca forest (26.58 mg/m2/h) was higher than that in Peat swamp forest (21.18 mg/m2/h). Generally, water level and redox potential were important factors regulating emissions of methane gases. The Eh values were all negative values, ranged between −196.5 ± 22.75 mV and −27.75 ± 15.37 mV, indicative of high electron activity and intense anaerobic. Peat swamp forest’s soil had relatively higher organic matter, CEC, TN and TP values than Melaleuca forest’s soil. The COD values fluctuated between 197.3 ± 51.78 mg/L and 396.8 ± 25.77 mg/L, indicative of organic pollution of surface water. It is suggested shorter time measurement (at least twice a day) of methane emission for more accurate evaluation.

『撰集抄』の序にある「過忙しかた四十余年」が天台五時教判に拠るとする解釈をてこに、まず大鏡の語りや源氏物語蛍巻の物語論、中世源語古注釈の享受認識を手懸かりとして、法華経に対する<方便の諸教>に比定される撰集抄の<物語>としての位相を狂言綺語観とからめて考察し、それに連動する語り手の<愚者>の位相を語りの機能面より検討を加えながら、併せて西行仮托にちなむ<往生者>の面影との二重性という観点から作品の機構をとらえ直した。

Японские читатели впервые узнали сочинение крупного советского ученого М.М. Бахтина (1895—1975) в 1968 году, когда его книга “Проблемы поэтики Достоевского” вышла в свет в Японии на японском языке (перевод Арая Кеидзабуро). В течение 20 лет после этого, у нас появились на японском языке все его сочинения: в 1973 году— “Творчество Франсуа Рабле и народная культура средневековья и ренессанса” (перевод Кавабата Каори), в 1976 году—“Марксизм и философия языка” под именем В.Н. Волошинова (перевод Кувано Такаси), а в 1979 году вышел в свет первый том собрания сочинений Бахтина в 8 томах (издательство Синдзидайся), публикация которого завершилась весной 1988 года. Более того, каждый перевод его сочинений вызывал восхищение и повышал интерес японского читателя к его творчеству. Такое редкое в мире положение активного принятия сочинений Бахтина в нашей стране было обусловлено следующими обстоятельствами: (1) в японском славяноведении уже была почва для понимания движения русских футуристов и основ литературоведения русских формалистов. Это и помогло скорому переводу сочинений Бахтина на японский язык. (2) Американский неокритицизм и французская семиотика (сочинения Т. Тодорова и Ж. Кристеевой) подготовили определенный слой читателей, которые могли понимать поднятые Бахтиным вопросы. (3) Амбивалентное отношение Бахтина к советскому структуральному литературоведению, которое начинало выдвигаться на первый план в начале 1960 годов. С этой точки зрения автор настоящей статьи исследует процесс принятия сочинений Бахтина в Японии.

Es ist das Ziel dieses Aufsatzes, die Ich-Erzahlung auf ihr fiktionales Vermogen zu prufen und sie als eine Grenzsituation der Erzahlkunst festzustellen. Die grundlegende Auffassung Kate Hamburgers von diesem Thema ist naturlich dem Verfasser vorbildhaft und aufschlussreich, aber er versucht hier doch noch einige Zuge klarzulegen, welche die Auffassung Hamburgers von der Ichform eventuell vertiefen soll. 1) In der Odyssee bietet die Ich-Erzahlung des Heroen ein Exempel, in dem die Veranderung der Erform in die Ichform einzig unzulanglich durchgefuhrt ist. Das Phanomen ergibt sich daraus, dass im Gedicht Homers die Perspektive des "Erzahlers" mit der der Gotter restlos ubereinkommt und somit sich der "Erzahler" bei seinem umformenden Aufnehmen der alten Sagen in das Werk leicht zu allwissend allgegenwartig verhalt. 2) Die Ich-Erzahlung des Werther erlaubt uns zweierlei Art vom Geniessen : als ein Dokument oder als eine Fiktion. Das Entweder-Oder muss man dem Leser uberlassen, denn sich der Heroe und der allwissende "Erzahler" vereinigen hier so vollstandig auf das Subjekt "Ich", dass auch die stilistische Analyse des Textes uns gar kein entscheidendes Merkmal fur die Wahl darbieten kann. 3) Weil die Kamera sich selbst nicht aufnehmen kann, ist die Erzeugung eines Ich-Films unmoglich. Der Verfasser versucht in dieser Beziehung die Sprache mit dem kinematographischen Bild zu vergleichen, indem er die Rolle des Ich-Heroen in einem franzosischen Roman Allain Robbe-Grillets erklart. Sehr belehrend ist die Untersuchung des Films fur die sprachphilosophischen Grundlegung der Erzahlkunst, welche die letzte Absicht des Verfassers bedeutet.

Der Roman enthalt zwei gegensatzliche Pole : die Allwissenheit des Erzahlers und die begrenzten Sehfelder der Personen. Jene macht den Roman einheitlich, diese spalten dagegen ihn vielfach. Der Stil des Romans hangt davon ab, wie man diese Pole aussohnt. (1) Abwechslungen von dem Eindringen des allwissenden Erzahlers und der Begrenzungen der Sehfelder : z. B. Stendahls "La Chartreuse de Parme". (2) Ubereinanderlegung von den Perspektiven des Erzahlers und der Personen. Verkehrtheit des Ich-Romans : z. B. Flauberts "Madame Bovary". (3) Auflosung der Allwissenheit des Erzahlers in die begrenzten Sehfelder der Personen : z. B. Jacques Chardonnes "La Chant du bienheureux", Francois Mauriacs "La Fin de la Nuit", Francoise Sagans "Aimez-vous Brahms..." u. s. w. (4) Unendlicher Zuruckgang auf den Gesichtspunkt des Erzahlers : z. B. Andre Gides "Les Faux-Monnayeurs". (5) Nachweisung vom Alibi des allwissenden Erzahlers : z. B. Alain Robbe-Grillets "Dans le Labyrinthe". Durch die sorgfaltige Analyse der Texte hat der Verfasser die Stile und das Wesen des Romans erklart.

To analyze walking turns, the influence the hip joint external rotation angle of the stepping limb in the standing position has on electromyographic activities of the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers was examined. The subjects were 10 healthy males with a mean age of 24.2. The standing position was defined as the position in which subjects stepped forward from a standing position. The hip joint external rotation angle of the starting position was changed, and the electromyographic activities of the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers were measured at each angle. The integrated electromyographic relative value of the upper gluteus maximus fiber significantly increased with the increase of the hip joint external rotation angle. The integrated electromyographic relative value of the lower gluteus maximus fiber also showed a tendency to increase. It is our opinion that the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers participate in the maintenance of the extension and external rotation of the support side hip through the actions of hip extension and external rotation. In addition, the support side hip performs adduction with increase in the angle of hip external rotation, indicating that the upper gluteus maximus fiber increases hip abduction to brake it.

This paper examines the ethnic and cultural autochthony of Japan through a review of paradigms in ethnology = cultural anthropology. In this process we discussed discourses of ethnologists, anthropologists or representatives of folklore studies like Edward Sylvester Morse, Henry von Siebold, Tsuboi Shōgorō, Torii Ryūzō, Koganei Yoshikiyo, Yanagita Kunio, Orikuchi Shinobu, Oka Masao, Izumi Seiichi and Sasaki Kōmei. As a result we could show that the ethnic and cultural autochthony of Japan is not a genuine and singular one but a pluralistic and complex one: we can adduce at least two "races" (the Yamato race and the Ainu race) and three cultures (the culture of Japan's mainland, Okinawan culture and Ainu culture). At the same time, inside of Japan's mainland, there is a great regional diversity of cultural elements and clusters. To pay attention to such a plurality will be beneficial when examining the "national identity" of Japan.

In this article, it is tried to examine the model of ‘collective choice’ presented by H. Blumer as an alternative to ‘trickle-down’ theory, to modify it in perspective of ‘lifestyle’, and to reformulate a new theory of fashion which includes the idea of ‘trickle-down’.This paper is composed of two parts. In the first part, it is explained that Blumer thought of fashion as one of social movements: expressive movement by the mass, and that fashion process meets an area that is a part of a continually changing world through two stages: innovation and selection. Secondly it is pointed out that collective taste or choice underlies ‘lifestyle’, and fashion mechanism in all the areas of ‘life’ is suggested.

The mechanism for the activation of cerebral function through singing and listening music was investigated. In this research, the effect of singing and listening to music on cerebral function and the effects on autonomic nerve systems were clarified. The fluctuation of oxyHb was analyzed for quantifying the active state of cerebral function. The CSI to investigate the activation level of sympathetic nerve and the CVI to investigate the activation level of parasympathetic nerve were analyzed for quantifying the fluctuation of autonomic nerve systems. The result of experiment showed that the oxyHb increased during the music tasks and the oxyHb decreased during the rest. Additionally, it was shown that the sympathetic nerve became predominant in singing music. In addition to this, we proposed a new evaluation index quantifying the active status of cerebral function using the absolute value of oxyHb and the differential value of oxyHb. By use of this evaluation index, the effectiveness of relaxation with listening music and relaxation without music on the active status of cerebral function were investigated. In these investigations, the effectiveness of music therapy was increased when the parasympathetic nerve became predominant efficiently

本研究は,超音波療法後の腓腹筋の筋硬度変化を検討し,超音波療法が腓腹筋の各部位へ及ぼす影響の違いを明らかにすることを目的とした.健常大学生20名を対象として,腓腹筋内側頭の近位部・筋腹部・遠位部へ周波数3 MHzの超音波療法を実施した.筋硬度の評価にはストレインエラストグラフィによる歪み値を採用し,皮膚から腓腹筋最深部までの距離は超音波画像を用いて計測した.本研究の結果,腓腹筋の筋腹部と遠位部の歪み値は介入後に有意に減少した一方,近位部の歪み値は介入前後で有意差が認められなかった.また,近位部の皮膚から腓腹筋最深部までの距離は,筋腹部や遠位部よりも有意に大きかった.腓腹筋に対する周波数3 MHzの超音波療法では,部位によって影響が異なることが示唆され,腓腹筋最深部までの距離の違いはその要因であると考えられる.腓腹筋の超音波療法では,組織深度を考慮した部位別の照射設定の検討が必要である.

Point & teleport (P&T) is an artificial locomotion technique that enables users to travel in unlimited space in virtual reality. While recent P&T techniques assign orientation control to an additional axis, these techniques suffer from increased complexity in controls and limited performance. Researchers concluded that teleportation, followed by a self-orientation adjustment by physically turning around, is preferable and that P&T with orientation specification can be optional. However, P&T has not been tested under a seated condition, where the orientation control may advantageously perform. Therefore, in this paper, we reevaluate P&T with orientation specifications while the users are seated. Nonetheless, for consistent alignment with the results in preceding research, we evaluate the accuracy while the users are standing. Knowing that additional cognitive load may badly affect the performance, we present a new P&T design, points to teleport (P2T), with minimal complexity in mind (i.e., point twice sequentially to determine the future location and then orientation, which mimics classic P&T that requires users to turn around for orientation specification). Thus, we revisit P&T with orientation specification.
