一般に,ハッシュ法と言えば指定されたクエリとキーが同一であるデータを高速探索するための技術であり,実用上,O(1) の時間計算量で動作する.しかし,近年,クエリと完全には一致しない類似したデータを探す類似検索向けのハッシュ法が開発され,画像やテキストに代表されるメディアデータに対するコンテンツベースパターン認識の分野で成功を収めている.本稿では,このようなハッシュを利用した類似検索技術を紹介する.更に,その応用として(1) 階層的クラスタリングの近似高速化,(2) 複数画像からのオブジェクト抽出の二つの事例を紹介する.

This paper first examines how the Japan Broadcasting Corporation broadcasted in each region prior to the Pacific War, and how they regarded regional characteristics in each broadcast, based on data from journals such as The Japan Broadcasting Corporation journal from that time, in order to clarify discussion of locality in broadcasts prior to the Pacific War. From this research, it is clear that the locality of early radio broadcasts in Japan had three different aspects as follows: 1) the locality of broadcasting that existed initially, 2) the subsequent centralization of Japanese Broadcasting, and 3) the resumption of local broadcasting for wartime emergency broadcasts. The first aspect stemmed from the fact the Corporation organized entertainment centered programs and had been trying to provide programs to suit the taste of listeners in each region. The second aspect stemmed from the fact when the ratio of program leadership grew nationwide, regionalism in broadcasting was often emphasized by the Corporation through strengthening central control, and it was possible to broadcast relative to the political background of the time. The third aspect stemmed from the fact since it had become necessary to acknowledge practical issues such as increased production and promotion of the war, local broadcasts were once again emphasized. The first and third aspects prioritize local circumstances in broadcasting for different reasons. However, the second aspect deals with standardized local broadcasts, used by the Corporation, to influence the Japanese public.

「レトロブーム」とともに人気を博した丸田祥三の廃墟・廃線写真集『棄景』シリーズ、最終戦争後の荒廃した未来都市を舞台とする大友克洋の漫画『AKIRA』(1982年〜)、根岸競馬場跡の廃墟での撮影を含むミュージックビデオ『A Y.M.O. FILM PROPAGANDA』(1984年)、廃工場を舞台背景とした東京グランギニョルやBIS-SEAL-PISHOPの演劇(1985-87年)、都市の中の廃墟とそこに集う「棄民」的な人々を描いた映画である山本政志監督『ロビンソンの庭』(1987年)や松井良彦監督『追悼のざわめき』(1988年)、取り壊し中の建築物を被写体とする宮本隆司『建築の黙示録』(1988年)、スクラップと身体が融合するイメージを扱った三上晴子の作品群や塚本晋也監督『鉄男』(1989年)など、1980年代の日本では、とりわけサブカルチャーの領域を中心に、「廃墟」、「遺棄された場所」、「スクラップ」というテーマが特徴的に現れ出る。そこには、長い伝統を持つ西洋の廃墟愛好や廃墟表象とは異なる時代性が刻印されている。それは、1980年代における核戦争の脅威、高度経済成長終了後の産業構造と労働市場の変化、バブル期の開発による都市のラディカルな変貌、それらがもたらす人間の棄民化、身体の廃墟化である。本稿では、1980年代の「廃墟、遺棄された場所、スクラップ」の系譜をたどりつつ、1980年代固有の都市の態様と、人間の身体が置かれた状況とを明らかにしてゆく。

Since body ownership illusion is expected to enhance an individual ability and positive psychological effect, any existing studies investigated the cause of the body ownership illusion on a human-like avatar. However, few studies have been focused on an avatar whose figure is a non-humanlike, such as a bird. If the illusion on a bird avatar can be controlled, the user's feeling of the presence in virtual reality world and flying experience are expected to be enhanced. Thus, we conducted some experiments to investigate factors to elicit a sense of body ownership over a bird avatar. We evaluated how features of a bird, such as flying action, short body, and sounds of flapping, affected the sense of body ownership. Our findings suggest that a motion synchronization between a participant's body and an avatars' one induce a sense of body ownership. Furthermore, appearance of a bird increases user's immersion in flying experience. Avatar's appearance affects a sense of body ownership over a non-humanlike avatar.

本稿の主題は、戦後日本の小中学校における女性教師の脱性別化の過程を解明し、その歴史的な意味を考察することにある。女性教師は1950年代まで女性的な特質と役割を付与されていたが、1970年代になるとそのような性別特性論に基づく性別役割分担は否定されるようになる。本稿では1960年代後半から70年代前半の「女教師問題」の議論に着目してその過程を記述し、母性が強調されなくなったこと、「婦人教師」を論じる、すなわち女性教師をその女性性において問題化することが躊躇されるようになったことを明らかにした。その女性教師の脱性別化は、一面では性差別の解消ではあるものの、もう一面では依然として存在する教師の性別役割分担を問う言葉の喪失である。また男性教師を標準とする「教師」への同一化である、すなわち女性教師の実質的な男性化であったという点でも問題をはらんでいる。

稲田養魚に対する一般意識を知るために,炊飯米の味覚官能試験を実施した。無農薬の実験田にフナ放養区と対照区を設けてコメを栽培した。アミロース,デンプン,タンパク質含有率について,フナ米と対照米の品質に大差はなかった。84 名の被験者を動員して,慣行栽培米を基準に,両試験米の食味を比較した。コメの出自を伏せた試験結果に差異は検出されず,出自を開示するとフナ米が高い評価を得た。食の安全と環境の保全に敏感な消費者は,コメとフナの双方の生産に資する稲田養魚に対して,良好なイメージを抱いていることが推測された。

本研究では情報探索行動の起点としてのWikipediaの有効性について検討することを目的に,日本語版Wikipediaの外部リンク約119万件について,URLの詳細やアクセス障害・リンク切れの状況について調査した.結果から,1)日本語版Wikipediaからのリンクの11%程度でアクセスに障害がある,2) edu,co.jp,go.jpドメインの外部リンクでアクセス障害が多い,3) 新聞社が運営するニュースサイトで特にアクセス障害が多いこと等を明らかにした.
