A novel digital control algorithm for a single-phase boost power factor correction (PFC) converter with fast dynamic response is presented. Based on the converter circuit structure, the track of the output voltage and the inductor current of next switching cycle is estimated in advance. The self-adjusting voltage control loop is adopted to improve the static and dynamic voltage regulation. Meanwhile, the current control loop is implemented only by the estimated output voltage and inductor current values, which simplifies the control loop and reduces the digital calculation burden. The single-phase boost PFC converter with the proposed digital control algorithm has been implemented via the field programmable gate array (FPGA). Experimental results indicate that the proposed control algorithm can improve the power factor, as well as the dynamic response of boost PFC converter simultaneously. The power factor is optimized more than 0.98, and the recovery time is less than 4 line cycles with small overshoot.

福島第一原子力発電所1号機の設置許可が出て,海抜35mの断崖が10mまで削られ,GEに引き渡されて発電所の建設工事が開始された1967年の頃,地球科学では,プレートテクトニクスの仮説が登場して発展し始めた時であった。 今,仮説ではなく,実測しながら見ているプレート運動のことを,できるだけ普通の言葉で解説したい。固体地球の運動の中で,2011年東北地方太平洋沖地震の発生を位置づけ,この巨大地震の発生の仕組みと,日本列島の今後の地震活動を,5回の連載で解説したい。

&nbsp;&nbsp;Fluorescent liquid penetrant test equipment, for testing welded parts of the evaporator for phosphate liquid waste generated by solvent waste treatment at Tokai Reprocessing Plant, was developed. It is composed of a CCD camera and UV light for observation, nozzles for fluorescent liquid, water for washing, and air for drying, and a positioning mechanism that can adjust the position of this equipment relative to the inspection object by three-axis operation, varying the insert length, bending angle and turn angle. Also, the equipment can be inserted by way of the nozzle for inspection, whose inside diameter is 60 mm, into the evaporator. It was confirmed that the standard faults, as defined in JIS, could be observed by the equipment. Then, a fluorescent liquid penetrant test of an evaporator that has treated phosphate liquid waste for 18 years with a heating temperature of about 105&deg;C was performed. The result of the test indicates the absence of faults in the evaporator.<br>

「'99地球環境保護 国際洗浄産業展」(主催:日本産業洗浄協議会,日本産業機械工業会,日本工業新聞社)が1999年9月8〜10日の3日間,東京国際展示場(東京ビックサイト)で開催された。出展社数は85社,入場者数は3日間で延べ4万9198人。産洗協によれば,入場者数は一昨年の同展と比べておよそ1万人も増えた。

光電子分光技術は、直接的に物質の化学状態を観測できる分析手法として広く利用されている。通常、光電子分光では超高(~高)真空下で測定する必要があった。しかしながら、高真空下の電子状態ではなく実際の動作環境下での電子状態を観測したいというニーズの急激な高まりと共に、それに対応した光電子分光装置も開発されている。本講演では放射光施設や実験室に導入された雰囲気光電子分光測定の最新の結果を紹介する。

工業製品における商品のデザインは、経営戦略の大きな柱の一つである。特に乗用車のデザインでは、デザインの成否が販売の鍵をにぎると言われている。デザインマネジメントとは、デザインの創造性を生み出す環境づくり、マーケティングを通してユーザーの価値観、好みを継続的に把握するシステムづくりなど、人・物・金・情報・時間を最大限に活かし、経済効果をあげる諸活動である。デザインはデザイナーの個人的な能力に頼らざるを得ない側面を有するが、企業の商品戦略、コーポレートアイデンティティの確立を支えるには、デザイン組織としてのマネジメント能力が強く求められている。Product design is one of the important part of management strategy for manufacturer. Especially as for the design of a passenger car, the design of it is said to determine the feasibility of sale. For example, design management means making environment for creativity, or making his or her value through marketing, or making systems for grasping his or her taste continuously. Design management is the activity to improve the economic efficiency by using man power, things, money, information, and time maximumly. Design is dependent on a designer's character. However, management ability as design institute, is strongly requested for establishing strategy of manufactures for product and corporate identity.

マメ科のデイゴ属は約110種を含み、東アフリカからインド、東南アジア、太平洋諸島、ニューギニア島などの熱帯から亜熱帯にかけて広く分布しており、数種は街路樹や生け垣、防風林、観賞用などに利用されている。日本では、デイゴやアメリカデイゴ、サイハイデイゴなどが古くから沖縄県や鹿児島県、宮崎県などに導入され、植栽されている。デイゴヒメコバチ(ハチ目:ヒメコバチ科)はデイゴやなど、デイゴ属の枝や葉柄、葉にゴールを形成し、時には、木を枯らしてしまうことが知られている。近年、本種が香港、中国、アメリ力合衆国ハワイ州、インド、タイ、フィリピン、サモア、グアム、シンガポール、モーリシャス、レユニオン、台湾、ベトナムで発見されている。本稿では、奄美群島における加害調査結果を報告するとともに、侵入の時期やその後の移動・分散、今後の追跡調査の必要性などについて言及した。

The cascade model offers a new methodology of data mining. It extends the architecture of the association rule, and provides a comprehensive way for the rule induction. The model is implemented as DISCAS software. This paper provides a brief overview of the cascade model including the introduction of sum of squares criterion for the rule strength. The function of DISCAS software is explained referencing the cascade model. Guides for the input to and the output from DISCAS are also given.
