本論文は『1Q84』に散在する戦争や植民地記憶の語りに焦点を当て、それがいかなる意味を持つのかを探究するものである。登場人物の青豆、タマルと天吾の父親に関わる「記憶」を分析し、満鉄、樺太と満洲植民地についての叙述がいかに物語の展開・構造と連動しているかを考察する。さらに、とりわけ、天吾の父子関係と「記憶」の継承の問題を、アスマン、オリックらの記憶研究を参照しつつ重点的に検討することによって、作者が企図した「魂のソフト・ランディング」の可能性と限界について論じる。

Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) is considered a key crop in Colombian social programs aiming at alleviating rural poverty, promoting peace in post-conflict regions and, replacing crops used for illicit purposes. Colombia is thought to be part of the center of origin of cacao; several germplasm collecting expeditions have been implemented, dating back to the 1940s. Despite that history, the first breeding program based on creating, selecting, and releasing full-sib progenies made extensive use of accessions introduced from other countries as parents. A new breeding strategy was adopted in the 1990s, based on mass selection of promising trees (high-yield and disease-resistant) in farmers’ fields, resulting in the selection of clones released to farmers as planting material. In 2012, a new strategy, Recurrent Selection, was adopted by the Colombian Corporation for Agricultural Research, Agrosavia, based on the development of improved populations and allowing the selection of clones at the end of each cycle of recombination. The use of molecular markers is being integrated into this program in order to assist breeders in selecting material. This review provides details about the history and perspectives of the cacao breeding program in Colombia.

Background:The incidence of late coronary artery abnormalities after arterial switch operation (ASO) for d-loop transposition of the great arteries may be underestimated.Methods and Results:We retrospectively reviewed coronary artery morphology in 40 of 97 patients who survived the first year after ASO. Seven asymptomatic patients developed significant late coronary artery abnormalities. One patient died suddenly at home with severe left coronary artery (LCA) ostial stenosis at age 3.8 years. The second patient collapsed during exercise at age 9.6 years due to ventricular fibrillation and severe LCA ostial stenosis despite prior negative exercise stress test (EST) and myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). The third patient was found to have moderate ostial stenosis of the LCA with negative EST and MPI. The fourth patient with exercise-induced ST-T depression and myocardial perfusion defect was shown to have complete LCA occlusion with collateral vessel formation. Three other patients had complete proximal obliteration of either of the coronary arteries with collateral supply. An additional 4 asymptomatic patients had trivial-mild narrowing of the LCA on routine selective coronary angiogram.Conclusions:Incidence of late coronary stenosis or occlusion was not infrequent after ASO (11.3%) and presented usually without preceding symptoms and often after negative non-invasive screening. We advocate routine coronary imaging in all patients after ASO before they participate in competitive sports.

<p>68 歳,男性。初診の 10 年前に徐々に拡大する後頭部の皮下腫瘤を自覚していた。部分生検の結果,隆起性皮膚線維肉腫(dematofibrosarcoma protuberans:DFSP)の疑いで当科を紹介され受診した。当科初診時,後頭部皮下に 4.5×1.5 cm の皮下腫瘤を触知した。可動性は不良で,表面皮膚の色調変化や萎縮はなかった。頭部造影 MRI で腫瘍は後頭部皮下に境界明瞭に描出され,STIR 像で高信号を示した。病理組織学的には,紡錘形の腫瘍細胞が皮下組織において比較的均一に増殖し,花むしろ構造を呈しており,腫瘍細胞は核異型に乏しく,核分裂像はほとんど存在しなかった。免疫組織化学的には腫瘍細胞はCD34 がびまん性に陽性であった。腫瘍の凍結組織から抽出した RNA を用いて RT-PCR を行い,<i>COL1A1-PDGFB</i> の融合遺伝子を検出した。以上より皮下型 DFSP と診断した。皮下型 DFSP の報告は稀であるが,<i>COL1A1-PDGFB</i> 融合遺伝子を検出したことから,皮膚に発生した DFSP と腫瘍発生学的に同じ発癌機序によることが示唆された。</p>

結婚についての考え方が揺れ動いている。本論は, 結婚は (1) 社会的に承認された性関係, (2) 継続的関係, (3) 権利義務関係, (4) 全人格的関係という特性をもった男女の結合関係 (夫婦関係) を形成する社会制度であるという筆者の見解を説明する。そして, これらの特性とは異なった見解や現象 (たとえば, 同棲, 同性カップル, シングル志向など) を検討することによって, 結婚の意味を再確認する。<BR>結婚制度を否定するかのような現象がみられることは事実であるが, それらを検討してみると, 必ずしも結婚制度を否定しなければならない必然性は認められない。したがって, 今後の動向を考えてみると, 結婚制度とそれ以外の生き方が併存していくことになろう。

LNG has been the major oversea transportation means since the era of 1970. The development costs of LNG plant, export and import terminals and LNG carriers have been very expensive, then only huge gas fields more than several Tcf reserves have been developed which enables initial cost recovery. Technical innovation, clean energy demand and the current oil price ascent are leading the stranded gas fields development by use of new gas transportation technology. Among them CNG (compressed natural gas) is one of the means which has low energy loss in the CNG processing compared to chemical transformation such as GTL (gas to liquid) and is capable to supply gas directly to the gas pipeline grid by easily re-gasification on board CNG carrier. This paper describes technical and economical characteristics of CNG and its application among many gas transportation systems.

Hideyoshi issued the Edict of Banishment of Missionaries in 1587. The next year Nagasaki, which had been governed by the Jesuits since 1580, was brought under his direct control. Artisans, who believed in Christianity, were expelled from the town at the same time, Tanners and makers of leather goods were forced to establish Kawata-machi along the stream called Shishidoki-gawa.The Tokugawa shogunate made concessions to the Jesuits in order to continue trading with the Portuguese, while the edict was issued by Ieyasu in 1612.At Nagasaki, for instance, in 1614 all of the churches were destroyed by Nagasaki-bugyo (a official appointed by the Tokugawa Shogunate). Main Buddhist temples were permitted to be built there. Buddist temples accepted the people who were forced to apostatize.Kawata-machi people were forced to find Christians who pretended to be Buddhists and they were forced to help the execution.In 1621, however, Kawata-machi people refused this order when Heizo Suetsugu (Nagasaki -daikan), who was an apostate (a Korobi-Kirishitan), commanded them to detain a Christian because they were also Christians. It was gradually difficult to refuse the order.In 1648, moreover, Kawata-machi people were forced to move to Nish-izaka where Christians were executed. So the chief priest of Daion-ji (a temple of Jodo-shu) offered a bribe to Nagasaki-bugyo and was allowed to move there.The Tokugawa shogunate made use of Kawata-machi people as a means of a drastic anti-Christian policy.

The structures of giant fullerenes have been considered from the topological view point. As the fullerenes are formed of the pentagonal rings and hexagonal rings, Euler's theorem in the topology shows that 12 pentagonal rings are neccessary though the number of hexagonal ones is arbitrary for the formation of the closed polyhedron. This restraint predicts that symmetric giant fullerenes have the following shapes: the icosahedral-shaped, the tetrahedral-shaped, the pentagonal prism-shaped and the hexagonal prism-shaped ones. We have classified the icosahedral-shaped and the tetrahedral-shaped ones into three systems, respectively, and the pentagonal prism-shaped and the hexagonal prism-shaped ones into two systems, respectively, thus totaling ten systems. We have formulated the equations for calculating the number of atoms n in the giant fullerenes Cn. The results indicate that the forming of the round-shaped giant fullerenes requires the sets of heptagonal and pentagonal rings while keeping (the number of pentagonal rings)-(the number of heptagonal rings)=12.

水田・畑・森林等がどの程度の貯水容量をもっているかを, 概算ではあるが, 国土的スケールで求め, 既設ダムの洪水調節容量と比較した. 次いで国土保全上どれだけの貯水容量が必要であるかを概算し, その必要貯水容量を水田・畑・森林・ダム等で, 将来, どのように分担する必要があるかを明らかにした. 得られた分担割合には, 森林68%, ダム17%, 農地 (水田と畑) 15%で, 農地の貯水機能が無視できないことが明らかになった.

万葉集には内舎人として久仁京にいる家持と旧都に残る弟書持との贈答歌が収録されている。家持と書持との関係、さらに二人がいる場所があまりに明らかなために二人の「心情」表現としてのみ解釈されているが、平城京において歌の文化圏を持つ家持とその世界にいたと思われる書持にとって歌に表現する意味を二人に歌われる「景」から考えていきたい。
