<p> 本研究は、日本人一流競技者における小学生期の競技種目実施状況を明らかにすることを目的とした。対象は、14&ndash;55歳の日本人一流競技者790名(男性394名、女性396名)であった。対象の競技は、2000年以降のオリンピック競技種目とした。対象者には、専門競技および専門競技以外の競技経験(競技開始年齢、練習頻度)を質問紙に記入するよう指示した。本研究の結果、未就学期および小学生期に専門競技を開始したのは、男性が250名(63%)、女性が238名(60%)であった。小学生期に専門競技および専門競技以外の競技を実施していたのは、男性では69名(18%)女性では81名(20%)であった。専門競技以外の実施は、男性では水泳が40名、サッカーが34名、野球が26名と多かった。一方、女性では、水泳が44名、体操競技が7名と多かった。本研究で対象とした日本人一流競技者の多くは、小学生期に複数の競技を経験することによって多面的に運動能力を発達させたのではなく、専門種目のみを長期間に渡り実践することで種目特有の運動能力を発達させたと考えられる。</p>

Reducio ad absurdum (RAA) is a typical method of proving in mathematics. In aproof by RAA, however, once we put false assumptions, it is hard to distiguish true propositionsfrom other propositions in the following part of the proof. On the other hand, all intermediatepropositions in a direct proof are true and mathematically understandable. Therefore, fromeducational point of view, it is very fruitful to write proofs without RAA. By rewriting theproof by RAA into a direct one, moreover, we sometimes get more general theorem than theoriginal one. In this paper, we introduce a logical system (WNK) which is free from RAA.The proof diagrams of WNK allow plural conclusions as well as plural assumptions, whichmakes the proof diagrams simple. Moreover, we show that proofs of WNK can be plannedefficiently by using `sequents' like in Gentzen's LK.

Histochemistry, especially immunohistochemistry, is a powerful and diverse set of methods for obtaining spatial and temporal information concerning the expression and distribution of biomolecules in situ. In this technical note, we describe procedures for fixation and immunofluorescence microscopy using cryostat sections.

The present study implements long-term surface observed radiation data (pyranometer observed global flux and sky radiometer observed spectral zenith transmittance data) of multiple SKYNET sites to validate water cloud optical properties (cloud optical depth COD and effective radius Re) observed from space by MODIS onboard TERRA and AQUA satellites and AHI onboard Himawari-8 satellite. Despite some degrees of differences in COD and Re between MODIS and AHI, they both showed common features when validated using surface based global flux data as well as cloud properties retrieved from sky radiometer observed zenith transmittance data. In general, CODs from both satellite sensors are found to overestimated when clouds are optically thin. Among a number of factors (spatial and temporal variations of cloud, sensor and solar zenith angles), the solar zenith angle (SZA) is found to have an impact on COD difference between reflectance based satellite sensor and transmittance based sky radiometer. The Re values from the sky radiometer and satellite sensor are generally poorly correlated. The difference in Re between the sky radiometer and satellite sensor is negatively correlated with COD difference between them, which is likely due to the inherent influence of Re retrieval precision on COD retrieval and vice versa in transmittance based sky radiometer.

The new geostationary meteorological satellite of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), Himawari-8, entered operation on 7 July 2015. Himawari-8 features the new 16-band Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI), whose spatial resolution and observation frequency are improved over those of its predecessor MTSAT-series satellites. These improvements will bring unprecedented levels of performance in nowcasting services and short-range weather forecasting systems. In view of the essential nature of navigation and radiometric calibration in fully leveraging the imager’s potential, this study reports on the current status of calibration for the AHI. Image navigation is accurate to within 1 km, and band-to-band co-registration has also been validated. Infrared-band calibration is accurate to within 0.2 K with no significant diurnal variation, and is being validated using an approach developed under the GSICS framework. Validation approaches are currently being tested for the visible and near-infrared bands. Two such approaches were compared and found to produce largely consistent results.

Multiple clock domains mobile SoCs typically adopt dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) for flexible power/energy management. However, adoption of system-level cache under DVFS-enabled CPU may incur abnormal cache hierarchy (i.e., a delay reversal between the high-level and low-level caches). It may lead to performance- and energy-inefficiency due to slower data delivery and meaningless accesses to intermediate levels of caches. To resolve this problem, we propose a DVFS-aware cache bypassing technique. Our technique profiles latencies of the various levels of the caches. Based on the profiled information, our technique adaptively bypasses intermediate levels of caches in the case of abnormal cache hierarchy and applies power-gating to that cache memory for better energy efficiency. According to our evaluation, our technique reduces L2 and system-level cache energy consumption by up to 14.5% while improving performance by up to 0.13% compared to the baseline.

Because it is difficult to achieve local drug activity following administration by the conventional intravenous and oral routes, I sought to develop a new route of administration utilizing drug absorption from the liver surface in order to target that organ. Although direct application to the liver surface should yield local drug distribution, drug absorption from the liver surface has not been reported in the literature. Therefore, we analyzed, as a model, the efficiency of absorption of several organic anions and dextrans of various molecular weights following application to the rat liver surface in vivo using a cylindrical diffusion cell. Each compound appeared gradually in the plasma, followed by excretion into the bile and/or urine, indicating the possibility of drug absorption from the liver surface. The absorption process from the liver surface may not involve a specific transport system because dose and transport inhibitors had no detectable effect. In addition, molecular weight was found to be a determinant of absorption through the liver surface. The efficiency of targeting desired region in the liver was enhanced considerably by application to the liver surface, compared to intravenous administration. Moreover, I have obtained several promising results from the application of this new drug delivery system to anticancer drugs and gene therapy. On the other hand, I have also clarified the characteristics of drug absorption from the surfaces of the kidney, stomach, cecum and small intestine, and plan to apply the physiological findings to other fields.

プログラミングにおいて変数名を適切に付けることは重要であると言われているが、変数の数が多くなると、適切な名前を考えだすのが難しくなってくる。また、プログラムの修正によって変数名が適切でなくなったのにそのまま放置され、ソースコードを読む際に誤解を与える場合がある。さらに、プログラムの動作を説明するには、変数を用いて抽象的に説明するよりも具体的な値を用いる方が分かりやすいことがよくある。以上のことから、変数に名前を付けないプログラミング言語を提案する。ソースコードは、具体的な値を用いた具体例によって記述し、複数の具体例から「例によるプログラミング」の手法を利用して、任意の値に適用可能な実行可能コードを生成する。これによって、ソースコードそのものが動作の具体的な説明として読めるようになる。すべてを具体例で書こうとするとスケーラビリティの問題があるが、一部分を具体例で書き、残りは通常の変数名で書くことも可能である。

Food factors are considered to be critical for health promotion and play an important role in the prevention of life-style related diseases. Metabolic syndrome is typical common disease, such as abdominal obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension and diabetes mellitus that contribute to increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Metabolic syndrome is closely linked with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and cognitive disorder and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The quality and quantity of dietary lipids have been recognized as contributing factors in the development and prevention of these diseases. Recent evidences suggest the preventive role of dietary bioactive lipids. We review the beneficial effects of CLA, n-3LCPUFA and phospholipids on metabolic syndrome and related diseases such as fatty liver and insulin resistance. Phospholipids have been reported to provide beneficial effects against neurodegenerative disorders, including dementia, AD, Parkinson’s disease and age-related cognitive decline. The studies suggest that n-3 LCPUFA-phospholipids prevent the memory loss and the cognitive disorders. In conclusion, functional bioactive lipids may apply as supplements and/or functional food ingredients to relieve metabolic syndrome and neurodegenerative diseases.
