It is already known that micro gravity affects astronaut’s body. In contrary, hyper-gravity might affect myoblasts. In the present study, mouse muscle cells (C2C12) were cultured four five hours in hyper-gravitational environment (50 G, 100 G) using the centrifugal machine placed in the incubator. Cells were observed at the incubator microscope for 24 hours after stopping centrifugation. The contour of each cell at the time-lapse images was approximated to the ellipsoid and several parameters were calculated: the angle, the area, and the aspect ratio. Each cell tends to shrink from the extended shape under hyper-gravitational environment. The directions of the major axis at 50% of cells tilt to the parallel direction to the hypergravity. After 24 hours, 51% of cells tilt to the perpendicular direction of the hypergravity in the 50 G group. The result shows that the history of hyper-gravitational environment affects the shape of cells.

It is the purpose of this paper to examine that in the process of the negotiation for the establishment of the European Economic Community, the French government tried to strengthen its position by holding talks with Belgium, the other main colonial power. The examination in this paper is based on the September issue in 1956 of Monthly Bulletin of the Central Bank of Belgian Congo and Rwarda-Burundi, featuring on 'European Common Market and the Overseas Territories'. The France-Belgian officials talked about the investment from France and Belgium to develop their overseas territories. Those talks produced a broad agreement despite the great dissimilarities in their imperial positions and responsibilities. On the basis of the Franco-Belgian position in the negotiation of the inclusion of the overseas territories in the EEC, which was formed by Franco-Belgian administrative talks on 'European Common Market and the Overseas Territories', it was proposed that their overseas territories should participate in the EEC through the form of 'association ' rather than 'integration'. To keep the traditional 'France-Afrique' solidarity, France tried to acquire the long-term assistance for the Zone Franc in compensation for the participation of metropolitan France in the Common Market.

中枢神経感染症の髄液細胞の形態と機能について検索し,疾病の病態および鑑別診断に役立つか否かについて検討した.独自に考案した浮遊細胞収集法は細胞の回収率,形態保存ともに良好であつた.細胞組成では小リンパ球はウイルス性髄膜炎で,マクロファージは非感染性神経疾患で,多核球は化膿性髄膜炎で,髄膜剥離細胞は結核性髄膜炎でそれぞれ優位であつた. lysosomal enzyme (acid-phosphatase, β-galactosidase)はマクロファージ系細胞で活性がみられ,種々の疾患で陽性であつたが,特に化膿性および結核性髄膜炎で高活性を示し臨床経過とよく相関していて補助診断価値があつた.また非感染性神経疾患にも活性がみられ, lysosomal enzymeは感染症に特異的なものではなかつた. nitroblue tetrazolium還元はマクロファージ系細胞および多核球でみられた.髄液細胞ではむしろマクロファージ系細胞により還元能の亢進を認め,その還元能の程度は中枢神経感染症の病勢とよく相関していた.また髄液細胞のNBT還元能は定量的にも測定可能であつた.多核球よりマクロファージ系細胞にこより還元能があることから,多核球が多く出現する病態の少ない中枢神経疾患においてマクロファージ系細胞でのNBT還元能の解析は,疾病の病態を知る上で重要と思われた.

自動採譜や音楽検索において,楽器音の音源同定は重要な要素技術である.本稿では,単一楽器の孤立発音を対象とした,HMM とMFCC を用いた楽器音の音源同定について述べる.まず,適切なHMM のパラメータを決定するために,RWC の楽器音データベースを用いて同定実験を行った.その結果,HMM の状態数と混合分布数が各々9,12 のときに88.65%の同定率が得られることが分かった.次に,学習データの量が同定率に及ぼす影響を調査し,学習データの量と同定率の関係を明らかにした.

Ever since its transmission to Japan, the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya 倶舎論 has been keenly studied by scholar-monks of all Buddhist schools. This has given birth to a long and vast tradition of outstanding commentaries. As the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya refers to or implies knowledge concerning concepts peculiar to non-Buddhist philosophical schools of Ancient India, amongst which Sāṃkhya stands prominent, it is quite natural that the Japanese exegetes would also occasionally touch upon such ideas. Before the middle of the Edo period, however, no independent work dedicated to the presentation of the Sāṃkhya philosophy alone appears to have been produced. It seems that the first systematic treatment of this school is found in the Kusha ron kōki kōshū 倶舎論光記講輯 written by Dōkū 道空 (1686-1751). The text actually represents a 14-scroll 十四巻 sub-commentary to a Puguang's 普光 Jushe lun ji 倶舎論記. It covers only the first part of the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya dealing with the Chapter on Elements 界品, Chapter on Faculties 根品, Chapter on the Universe 世間品, and the Chapter on Karma 業品. Dōkū mentions Sāṃkhya in Scroll III (ad the Chapter on Faculties), in Scroll VII (ibid.), and in Scroll XIII (ad the Chapter on Karma). In Scrolls VII and XIII, Dōkū's treatment of the subject does not go beyond a typically exegetical approach: he briefly touches upon some Sāṃkhya concepts, and he does it mainly by relying on the explanations offered by such Chinese commentaries as the Jushe lun song shu 倶舎論頌疏 by Yuanhui 圓暉 and the Jushe lun song shu chao 倶舎論頌疏抄 by Huihui 慧暉. The discussion of Sāṃkhya in Scroll III stands, however, in sharp contrast to mere exegetical references. Here one can clearly see that Dōkū attempts a presentation of the whole philosophical system rather than of a few disparate notions. Actually, Dōkū extracted this part from his commentary on the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya and published it as an independent work entitled Notes Concerning the Twenty-five Principles of Sāṃkhya (數論二十五諦記 Suron nijūgo tai ki). Starting with the middle of the Edo period, i.e. 18th century, Japan actually witnesses the birth and development of an exegetical tradition on Paramārtha's 眞諦 translation of the *Suvarṇasaptati 金七十論, tradition which was to continue for nearly 200 years. Prior to this epoch no similar attempts are known to have existed. This may appear to us as a rather sudden and unexpected phenomenon, but seen in the context of its age, the movement had its causes. This period of peace, stability and growing prosperity allowed many brilliant scholar-monks to concentrate their efforts on deepening their understanding of all aspects of Buddhism, which also led to the necessity of conducting researching into non-Buddhist works. Nonetheless, the idea of studying and writing about heretical philosophical systems, historically hostile to Buddhism, must have aroused more or less resistance from the more traditional minds. What was the driving force and scholarly need of this new movement which presumably was strong enough to brush aside all opposition? In the present paper, I discuss the exposition of Sāṃkhya as found in Scroll III of the Kusha ron kōki kōshū and the Suron nijūgo tai ki by Dōkū, which may well represent the inception of this new movement. I hope that my examination of Dōkū's criticism of Xuanzang's 玄奘 understanding of Sāṃkhya will shed light upon the origins of the scholarly necessity which lay behind the new exegetical movement.

バイオメトリクス認証技術の中でも行動的特徴を用いた手法の開発は,様々な分野での応用が期待される重要な研究課題である.行動的特徴を用いる方法の中で最も代表的なものは歩行・歩容(gait)認証であるが,近年では,歩行動作を正面から観測して個人を特定することが可能となってきている.正面観測による歩行認証は,人間が個人を特定する方法との親和性や歩行対象者を観測する機器の設置条件などの点で応用上優れた利点を備えているとされており,このような利点を生かした技術の開発は,ロボットへの自然な個人認証機能の実装や実世界の状況や文脈に応じて妥当な処理結果を出力するような個人適応型のコンピュータシステムの開発にとっても重要な意義があると考えられる.そこで本論文では,正面方向から観測が可能な特徴量である歩行時の頭部動揺時系列に加え,顔画像および身体骨格から計量される寸法を用いた個人認証手法を提案する.頭部動揺時系列,顔面寸法,身体寸法のそれぞれの類似性を DP マッチングおよびユークリッド距離により独立に評価し,評価結果をAND/OR演算またはファジィ推論により融合することで個人認証精度の向上を実現する.利用するこれらの特徴量は,一定の個人性を含んではいるものの,それ単体では必ずしも個人を特定することができないと考えられる特徴であり,ソフトバイオメトリクスと呼ばれるものの一種と考えることができる.7人の被験者に対する個人認証実験の結果,提案する融合方法によって,本人棄却率0%の下で平均他人受理率0%を達成した.単一の特徴量のみを用いた個人認証の場合と比べ,利便性を維持したまま照合精度を改善できることを示す.

β-Galactosidases (lactases) from various origins give different kinds of linkage and size of oligosaccharides. In the first chapter, enzyme sources, mechanism of transgalactosylation reactions, and structures of oligosaccharides were briefly introduced. Galactooligosaccharides (TOS) which consist of tri, tetra-, penta-, and hexasaccharides were formed from lactose by transgalactosylation reactions of Aspergillus oryzae β-galactosidase.TOS were a non-absorbable sugar and selectively utilized by all of the Bifidobacterium species in vitro. Administration of TOS caused remarkable increase in the number of Bifidobacterium and decrease in the number of Bacteroides in fecal flora. The improvement of intestinal microflora by TOS led to the suppression of putrefaction in the gut. It was concluded that TOS were a superior bifidus growth-promoting factor. For the large-scale production of TOS, the optimum conditions of transgalactosylation reactions and the manufacturing process were investigated. The amount of TOS were increased together with increase in initial lactose by A. oryzae S-galactosidase, and the maximum TOS formed were 30% by weight of total sugar. After transgalactosylation reactions with A .oryzae enzyme, second reactions with Streptococcus thermophilus β-galactosidase gave rise to TOS content and to sweetness, which were of a desirable sugar composition for food applications. A, oryzae β-galactosidase was immobilized by glutaraldehyde crosslinking on the ion-exchange resin for the continuous production of TOS. Half-life of this immobilized enzyme was 192 days at 55°C. High-grade TOS could be obtained from the reaction mixture by chromatographic separation with sodium-form cation-exchange resin.
