In this paper, the experimental results are represented on the effective thermal conductivity of cellulose insulation powder which is made from recycled newspapers. This insulating material is useful for energy and resources saving. The steady state cylindrical absolute method is employed by considering the accuracy of measurement. The experimental results are compared with the ones measured previously by other methods.<br>The main results obtained are as follows;<br>(1) The effective thermal conductivity of this insulating material increases with increasing temperature and effective specific density, respectively. But, these increasing rate is not so large.<br>(2) The effective thermal conductivity is about 0.04-0.06[W/mK] at the range of the effective specific density less than 100 [kg/m<SUP>3</SUP>]. This value is comparable with other industrial insulating materials.

Soil-vehicle interaction is an important factor for predicting trafficability of off-road vehicles. Tractive forces on the wheel to drive the vehicle can be estimated by soil deformation analysis around the contact area of the wheel. Sand deformation and flow under a rolling wheel with slippage were observed from the side through a transparent acrylic wall by 2-dimensional Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) method. The flow velocities of sand particles obtained on allocated grids revealed that periodic fluctuations of sand flow make ripple patterns on the sand surface behind the wheel. We discussed the effect of wheel slip ratios on the density of the ripples, sinkage, drawbar pull, torque and the depth of influence for the traveling wheel. The result showed that the slipping wheel forms a ripple with each scratch by the wheel rotation corresponding to the front half contact length with sand. The thickness of sand flow layer under the wheel showed thinner for large slip ratios. The finite element method was also conducted to simulate the traveling wheel experiment to discuss the possibility of the numerical simulation. The result of simulation qualitatively reproduced the experiment. However, there was a quantitative difference on the drawbar pull of the wheel, which shows that the method needs modification on the numerical model.

本研究は切迫早産 (TPL) 妊婦の歯周組織状態と糖代謝異常の関連を調べることを目的とした。被験者は15名の正常妊娠妊婦, 14名の切迫早産で糖代謝異常の妊婦 (TPL/糖代謝異常), 16名の切迫早産で糖代謝正常の妊婦 (TPL/糖代謝正常) とした。全ての妊婦にプロービングポケット深さなどの歯周組織検査を実施した。被験者から採取した唾液, 歯肉縁下プラーク, 絨毛膜組織のPorphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis), Fusobacterium nucleatum (F. nucleatum), Prevotella intermedia (P. intermedia), Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Treponema denticola, Tannerella forsythia (T. forsythia) の検出はPCR法で行った。歯周組織検査結果と口腔内の歯周病原細菌の検出率は, TPL/糖代謝異常とTPL/糖代謝正常の間に有意差はなかった。絨毛膜組織絨ではTPL/糖代謝正常はF. nucleatumとP. gingivalisが検出されたのに対し, TPL/糖代謝異常はF. nucleatum, P. intermedia, T. forsythiaが検出された。正常妊娠妊婦の絨毛膜組織はいずれの歯周病原細菌も検出されなかった。本研究は歯周病が切迫早産妊婦の糖代謝異常のリスク因子と示せなかった。しかし絨毛膜に存在するF. nucleatum, P. intermedia, T. forsythiaが糖代謝異常と関連する可能性を示唆した。

教科書の補足に大学のGoogle サイトにWebページで制作したWebテキストを用いてハイブリッドな授業を行った。その結果、以下の事が判った。受講生のWebテキストへの評価は良好である。特に、「いつでも、家でも、何度でも、自分のペースで見る事が出来る」事を評価している。そして、授業はWebテキストだけでも良いと認めている。授業が難しいと感じている受講生は、Webテキストがとても良いと感じている。しかし、課題量が多いと感じている受講生は、Webテキストがそれ程良いとは感じておらず、課題点も良くない。従って、Webテキストで、WORD文書の編集機能と課題の説明をより充実させる事が求められている。以上の結果から、Webテキストの利用は学生にも好評で、その内容をより充実させればより大きな効果が得られる事が判った。A hybrid class is performed by using a Web-text for the supplement of the textbookwhich is maked by the Web-page on the Google-site of our university. As the results, the follows are resolved. The evaluation of students about the Web-text is good. Especially,it is recognized that the Web-text is able to be looked again and again anytime at own pace, also in each home by them. And, they recognize that it is enough for the class to use only the Web-text. The student who feels that the class is difficult also feels that theWeb-text is very good. But, the student who feels that there is much quantity of problemdoes not feel the same, and, can not get good results.So, further more explanations in the details about the editing functions of the WORD document and about the problems are required in the Web-text. From the above results, it is resolved that the use of the Webtextis popular with my students and a bigger effect will be provided, if the contents ofthe Web-text are developed more.

【目的】近年、伝統的な行事食が親から子へ伝承されない傾向にあるといわれる中、奈良県における年中行事の認知と経験、それに関連する行事食の状況について、学生世代、親世代、祖父母世代の三世代間で比較を行い、世代間での伝承状況についての現状を把握することを目的とした。 <br>【方法】平成21~23年度日本調理科学会特別研究で実施した「調理文化の地域性と調理科学:行事食と儀礼食」の全国統一様式の調査票により、大学生およびその家族にアンケート調査を実施した。そのうち、奈良県内で10年以上居住経験のある子世代(10・20歳代)150名と親世代(40・50歳代)114名、祖父母世代(60歳以上)32名について、調査項目17行事の年中行事の認知度、経験、行事食の経験、調理状況について検討を行った。<br> 【結果】17行事中、11行事はいずれの世代も認知度85%以上と高かったが、春分・秋分の日、春・秋祭り、重陽の節句の認知度は低く、世代間で違いがあった。80%以上が経験している行事は、祖父母10行事、親9行事、子は正月、クリスマス、大晦日、節分、上巳の5行事と少なかった。祖父母と親の行事の経験率は似ているが、重陽の節句と春祭りの経験は祖父母(21.9%・37.5%)親(9.6%・14.9%)子(5.3%・15.3%)と親は子に近かった。行事食では3世代共に90%以上が経験している料理は正月の雑煮・黒豆・かまぼこ、クリスマスケーキと年越しそばであった。行事食も祖父母と親の喫食経験は似ているが節分の炒り豆、月見だんご、冬至の南瓜は世代間に差がみられた。春祭り・秋祭りの行事食は祖父母でも約30%と経験は低く、親・子は約10%とさらに低かった。

The problem of water and electrolyte metabolism, an essential regulation in the living body of its internal environment, has been investigated by many researchers. In this paper, we have summarized our study concerned with the effects of thermal bath (plain water or hot spring) on the water and electrolyte metabolism. Also, some related changes in circulatory and endocrine systems were considered.Twelve young men were selected and series of comparative study before and after each bathing for 10 minutes duration at temperature of 40 to 43°C have been performed.I Water and electrolyte metabolism(1) Immediately after the bathing no change was observed in the total body water. The extracellular fluid and the plasma volume increased; hematocrit values were lowered, while the total blood water as well as the plasma water was both increased and the water content of blood corpuscles was decreased. This result was inferred to a replacement of body water from inside to outside of the cells.(2) The minute volume of urine voided immediately after the bathing showed a transient increase, whereas it was decreased after the period of bath and also less than the pre-bathing stage.(3) Plasma Na was lowered after the bathing, while K and Cl remained unchanged. Na content of blood corpuscles showed a rise and K was lowered. The same tendency has also been observed in the skeletal muscle.(4) Reabsorption of Na as well as excretion of K in the urine was slightly increased after the bathing.(5) There was a loss of electrolytes into sweat.(6) The permeability of Na24 across the capillary wall was increased during and immediately after the bathing.II Changes in circulatory and endocrine systems related with water and electrolyte metabolismAmong many changes induced by thermal bathing which may cause alteration in circulatory and endocrine systems, a rise of body temperature and an induced hyperfunction of adrenal glands were considered to play a major role in the whole processes.

The effects of high concentration mineral water bating (31.16g/kg, mainly composed of Na, Ca, Mg chloride and sulfate) were studied in 13 healthy men (44.9±16.3y.o.). The subjects took 41°C, 10min bathing and kept warmth by a blanket for 30min. Blood pressure (BP), Heart rate (HR), cardiac output (CO), total peripheral resistance (TPR) and sublingual temperature by electric thermista as deep body temperature were measured during and after bathing. Skin blood flow by LASER doppler flow meter and venous partial gas pressure and pH were also measured.Sublingual and forehead temperature was increased significantly by +1.4°C after 10min bathing and +0.9°C increase continued even after 30min. Diastolic BP and TPR were significantly decreased, and HR and CO were significantly increased by +20bpm and +2.7l/min, respectively. Significant increase of skin blood flow was also demonstrated. Significant increase of venous pO2 (+20 Torr) and decrease of pCO2 (-8.0 Torr) suggested the improvement of peripheral oxidative metabolism due to increased CO.High concentration mineral water bathing was highly effective than simple water bathing probably due to the thick coating effect by binding concentrated minerals with skin furface protein.

Lumbar intervertebral disc herniation (LIDH), as the main contributor to low back pain and sciatica, imposes a heavy burden on both the individual and society. Non-operative treatment or conservative treatment has proven effective in alleviation of the symptoms of LIDH and are considered to be a first-line choice for most cases. Active lifestyle, physical therapy, complementary and alternative medicine therapy or Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy, and pharmacotherapy are routinely used as effective non-operative treatment for LIDH patients. However, how to choose one or several conservative treatments with higher efficacy, less side effects, minimal injury, and low cost is still a challenge for doctors and LIDH patients. Furthermore, there are some national characteristics for some conservative treatments in different countries, which bring difficulties for the widespread use of these methods. Here we initiated a search on the non-operative treatment especially TCM therapy for LIDH mainly using PubMed, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI), and Chinese biomedicine database since the 1980s with no restriction of language. According to these related references, we gave a narrative review which emphasizes up-to-date knowledge regarding the effectiveness and safety of various conservative methods with special consideration for TCM therapy including acupuncture, autonomy, Chinese massage, and Chinese herbal medicines, for LIDH treatment. We hope this review will further contribute to an understanding of conservative treatment as an important choice for LIDH patients and provide useful information for the development of more effective conservative methods for LIDH treatment.

【背景と目的】がん患者の意思決定支援にはアドバンス・ケア・プランニング(Advance Care Planning: ACP)が必要であり,そのためにはがん病名告知,患者の想い・意思・プライバシーの尊重が重要である.一般病棟看護師のがん患者に対するACPの認識を調査し,ACPの推進のためにどのような活動が必要なのかを検討する.【方法】広島県がん診療連携拠点病院の一般病棟看護師800名を対象に,郵送自書式質問紙調査を施行した.【結果】有効回答は364名(46%)であった.患者意思擁護・尊重は75%,患者プライバシー尊重は89%ができているという認識であった.患者の状態が悪い時の認識にはばらつきがみられた.ACPの意味を認識できているは20%に過ぎず,99%が施行できていなかった. 【結論】一般病棟看護師のACPの認識は不十分であり,一般病棟看護師のACPの認識を高めるためには,啓発・教育・環境整備が喫緊の課題と考えられた.
