本論文では,ユーザの状況に応じて適切な情報を提供する状況依存型情報推薦システムのプロトタイプを提案する.膨大な情報からユーザの嗜好に合致する情報を提供する手法として,情報推薦システムに関する研究が行われているが,ユーザのそのときの状況(時間帯や天気,同伴者,予算など)に応じて変化するユーザの嗜好に対し,柔軟に対応することは容易ではない.そこで我々は,状況に応じて変化するユーザの嗜好を適切にモデル化する手法を提案した.本論文では,このモデル化手法を適用した状況依存型情報推薦システムのプロトタイプを提案し,検証実験に基づいて,提案手法の評価を行った.この中で,提案手法であるコンテクスト依存型情報フィルタリングとコンテクスト依存型協調フィルタリングの有効性や特長の違いを明らかにするとともに,対象コンテンツの特徴パラメータの最適化に関して考察した.This paper proposes a prototype of a context-aware recommendation system which provides users with contents appropriate to their contexts. There have been many studies of recommendation systems which provide users with contents suited to their preferences. However, it is not easy to adapt these recommendations to changing contexts (e.g., time of day, weather, companions and budget). Thus, we propose a method which takes into account users' preferences as well as their current context. This paper also introduces a prototype of a context-aware recommendation system using the method, and evaluates our proposed methods. In our experiments, we explore the strengths and weaknesses both Context-Aware Information Filtering and Context-Aware Collaborative Filtering. Lastly, we discuss optimization of the feature parameters of contents.

A continuous long core of peaty sediments bored from the Naka-Ikemi Moor Central Japan (lat. 35°39' N., long. 136°5' E.), contains records of paleoenvironmental changes during the Last Glacial and Holocene periods. The Naka-Ikemi Moor stretches about 1.3 km from the west to east. This peculiar shapes and crustal movements had been pointed out by purely from a topographical point of view. And this moor is regarded as a waste-filled valley created by sort of tectonic depression at the eastern part of the Tsuruga Plain. From the stratigraphical examination, some volcanic ashes were detected as follows : Kikai-Akahoya Tephra (K-Ah : 6.3 ka), Aira-Tn Tephra (AT : 24 ka), Daisen Kurayoshi Tephra (DKP : ca. 50 ka). Values of bulk density measurements and radiocarbon dates of core samples indicate that the Naka-Ikemi core samples contain continuous records for the past 50 ka. The average sedimentation rate of Naka-Ikemi Moor was increased after the fall of AT volcanic ash had occurred. The sedimen tation process of Naka-Ikemi Moor has also been clarified by sedimentary facies and value of loss on ignition of core samples. Value of loss on ignition began to increase since the end of Last Glacial, suggesting the increase of organic material caused by environmental changes.

著者らは、IGF法を用いて学生の勉学のやる気の実態調査を続けてきた。そして、やる気には4状態(やる気、やらされ気、やらん気、やれん気)があることが分かった。今回は、調査で得られたやる気のカーブの記載されたものが上の4つのどの状態であるかを推測する方法について検討した。推測では、やる気を起こしたり無くしたりしたときの理由文に含まれる特定のキーワード、やる気の度合い、やる気グラフの勾配に着目した。そして考案した方法で約100名の学生(大学生、女子短大生)のやる気の4状態を推測し、的中率60%強を得た。

Since ancient times, Japanese people have believed that people could be overtaken by strong emotions such as Kitsunetsuki (possessed by a fox spirit). Through the investigation of the heritage of this folk belief in Kitsunetsuki, Japanese traditional values and intellectualities can thus be grasped Based on the oral traditions in modern times. which have been obtained from the Kaii-Yokai Densho Database mede public in the International Research Center for Japanese Studies, this essay taking statistical folklore methodology is an attempt to conduct a statistical study of Kitsunetsuki records in early modern periods and modern times, conduct a comparative analysis by correlating the types of Kitsunetsuki with other factors such as regional destribution temporal distribution and the cult of Inari, and consequently elucidate the different types of this fox belief in early modern periods and modern times. In early modern periods, this fox belief, in combination with Inari,circulated in the form of the cult of Inari; in modern times during periods of great social and economic reform and hightened public apprehension, the cult of Inari faded away, and this fox belief,in its combination with the belief in spitits possessing human beings,took on the form of belief in Kitsunetsuki。In this way, the fox belief varies with Japanese people's aspirations and social demands, as do its images and modalities accordingly.

本稿では,NPOのアドボカシー機能の「小さな制度」化とその課題について考察するために,ある精神医療分野のNPOの事例分析を行った.精神医療オンブズマン制度は,NPO団体の活動実績と提言に基づき大阪府で制度化された,アドボカシー機能の「小さな制度」化の実例である.これは一定の成果があったが,財政削減を理由に廃止された.この事例分析を行う中で,NPOの企画提案に基づく行政とNPOの「協働事業」としての制度化プロセス自体がNPOの一つのアカウンタビリティであったこと,アドボカシー機能の「小さな制度」化は府の政策と実践に具体的な事業改善をもたらしたこと,NPOには制度の成果や地方政府との「相補」性の意義等を事業委託主である地方政府にだけでなく政治家や広く市民にも果たすアカウンタビリティが求められていること,の三つが明らかになった.

妊娠17日目のマウスに137Csを1回静脈内に投与した後, 胎子および母体臓器における137Csの取込みを放射線測定およびマクロオートラジオグラフィによって調べた。投与後24時間目の胎子1匹あたりにおける取込み量は投与量の0.8%で, 1腹あたりに換算すると投与量の11%となった。さらに, 投与後24時間目における胎子各臓器の137Cs濃度は0.4-0.8%/gであったのに対して, 母体各臓器の濃度は2-6%/gであり, 母体臓器における濃度のほうが胎子臓器の濃度よりも4-6倍ほど高くなった。特に, 母体の器官のなかでも唾液腺が最も高い濃度を示し, 投与後1時間目および24時間目では, それぞれ25%/gおよび6.4%/gとなった。唾液腺は甲状腺に近接して存在しているので, 唾液腺における137Csの顕著な取込みについて注目する必要がある。マクロオートラジオグラムの所見は, 放射線測定によって得られた結果を支持するものであり, カラーで示された像は137Csの臓器分布を視覚的に捉えるのに役立つ。

国際政治学における計量分析の活用は我が国ではまだ限定的であるが,海外では非常に盛んである.学術誌を見ても計量手法の存在感は圧倒的である.この背景には,合理的選択論を軸とする戦争原因研究の理論的進展とそれに影響された他分野の理論研究に計量手法が大きな役割を果たしてきたことがある.ここでは国家間武力紛争,武力行使,同盟と有志連合という三つのトピックについて最近の研究を紹介し,それを通じて代表的なデータセット,分析単位,手法を明らかにしていく.

Correlation between natural background radiation exposure rates and cancer mortality rates in 46 Japanese prefectures was statistically studied over the period of 1950-1978. With regard to the correlation between natural background radiation exposure rates and crude (non-age-adjusted) cancer mortality rates, statistically significant positive correlation coefficients were observed in most cases of cancers with only a few exceptions. But the significance of correlation mostly disappeared through age-adjustment with only three exceptions of female stomach and uterine cancers in 1968-1978 and uterine cancer in 1958-1978. Both crude and age-adjusted male esophagus cancer mortality rates in 1968-1978 showed significant negative correlation. Female lung and breast cancers in 1958-1967, female esophagus and pancreas cancers in 1968-1978, and female breast cancer in 1958-1978 came to be negatively correlated with exposure rate through age-adjustment. It was suggested that natural radiation levels are positively correlated with prefectural population component ratios for those older than 40, 50 and 65 yrs, which was considered to be one of the causes of apparent correlation between exposure rates and crude cancer mortality rates.
