The Guadalupian Follicucullus assemblage, which is made mostly of the genus Follicucullus (Radiolaria), was found from Arida City, Wakayama Prefecture. The fossil locality in the southern area of Arida City is geologically attributed to the Northern Chichibu Belt, which is occupied by such lithologies as chert, sandstone, mudstone and green rocks. Radiolarian fossils were extracted with diluted hydrofluoric acid from a bedded chert layer exposed at the Mandarin Coastal Street. The occurrence of Follicucullus porrectus Rudenko and Follicucullus cf. scholasticus Ormiston et Babcock and the lack of Follicucullus charveti Caridroit et De Wever indicate a Capitanian horizon of the Guadalupian Series. This is the first report of the occurrence of Permian radiolarians from the Arida City area. The significance of the occurrence of Permian chert in the Northern Chichibu Belt is discussed as well as the formative factor of the Follicucullus assemblage (deep water current or oceanic environmental change).

This paper contains a series of essays which form a synopsis of my research career, which has been dedicated to orogenic and metamorphic processes in plate boundaries. It also presents my future research directions and latest investigations into simplifying the complexity of metamorphic rocks, their field observations, and associated convergent plate margin dynamics. Slab dehydration beneath forearcs and arc has been one of the most exciting problems in the field of convergent plate margin dynamics in recent decades. Orogenic and metamorphic processes are closely related. In the subduction zones, the fluid-mediated processes primarily control the crust-to-mantle transfer of volatiles, redox states of the wedge mantle peridotite and arc magmas, flux-melting to generate arc magmas, and seismicity. Although the methods of classical metamorphic petrology, based on phase equilibrium calculations, and the application of conventional geochronology continue to provide the opportunities to link high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure metamorphism to geophysical observations today, advances in geochemical techniques have great potential for key geological markers in global convergent margins. For example, recent analytical techniques and applications used in studies of metamorphic rocks, such as in-situ Li-B-Sr-Pb spot isotope analyses of jadeite, serpentinite, lawsonite, etc., evaluate hydration and dehydration along the subduction channels and subsequent slab-mantle interaction, and visualize more realistic ancient Pacific-type convergent margins. The scientific value of subduction-zone rocks and crustal rocks are not limited to their worth for geochemistry: Some metamorphic rocks and minerals are important for all realms of geological sciences, from nano-scale kinetics to the scale of mountain building events. Consequently, collaborative exchange among geoscientists, through the application of applying different approaches, tests, and challenges, to address problems related to plate boundaries in the future.

L'influenza della psicoanalisi freudiana su La coscienza di Zeno sembra un tema gia discusso sufficientemente, per cui prima presentiamo e riassumiamo le informazioni ricavate dagli altri studiosi, poi paragoniamo i testi freudiani e La coscienza di Zeno per riesaminare come lo scrittore sfruttava le conoscenze scientifiche per il suo romanzo e inoltre aggiungere alcune nuove osservazioni su questo tema importante. Il nostro lavoro consiste in tre capitoli: 1) presentazione di un quadro generale sul rapporto "Svevo e la psicoanalisi" (come e quando conobbe la psicoanalisi, quali libri lesse, quali opinioni aveva), rintracciando le testimonianze lasciate dallo scrittore stesso, 2) riassunto degli studi precedenti sull'influenza della psicoanalisi su Svevo, 3) osservazione delle tracce del testi freudiani ne La coscienza di Zeno e di quale ruolo abbia assunto la psicoanalisi nel romanzo. Nel primo capitolo si analizza il rapporto personale tra Svevo e la psicoanalisi e da questa analisi risulta che Svevo non apprezzava l'efficienza medicinale della psicoanalisi freudiana, ma ne riconosceva il suo valore letterario. Freud era un "grande uomo", scrisse Svevo, "ma piu per i romanzieri che per gli ammalati". Gli studiosi di questo tema sono d'accordo su due punti: 1) l'influenza freudiana su La coscienza di Zeno si trova non nei contenuti, ma piuttosto nella tecnica narrativa del romanzo, 2) la "psico-analisi" del romanzo non coincide perfettamente con quella freudiana. In particolare negli anni novanta G. Palmieri ha indicate le influenze delle altre "psicoanalisi" non ortodosse a quella freudiana. Leggendo La coscienza di Zeno, troviamo numerosi accenni di psicoanalisi freudiani. Infatti, nei testi freudiani come Vorlesungen zur Einfulung in die Psychoanaliyse e Die Traumdeutung possiamo trovare espressioni uguali o simili alle espressioni di Zeno. A questo punto il lettore comincia ad interpretare il testo seguendo la teoria freudiana, cosi la psicoanalisi assume un ruolo di narratore nascosto: ogni volta che il narratore Zeno dice qualcosa, la psicoanalisi mormora un'altra cosa alle orecchie del lettore. Se, per esempio, esaminiamo minuziosamente un sogno di Zeno che somiglia molto ad un sogno descritto in Die Traumdeutung, scopriamo che Svevo rovescia i dettagli delle descrizioni freudiani ed aggiunge altri dettagli descrittivi che sono presi da un'altra opera. Percio il testo assume un sistema di torsione che invita il lettore a interpretare il romanzo seguendo la teoria freudiana, ma che nello stesso tempo rifiuta di essere interpretato da questa teoria. Con questo sistema il testo mantiene la possibilita della pluralita di interpretazione. A questo punto possiamo dire che, ne La coscienza di Zeno, la psicoanalisi assume una funzione di disintegrazione della storia. La psicoanalisi freudiana e una specie di "ordigno" posto all'interno del romanzo per farlo esplodere e farlo ritornare "alia forma di nebulosa". Svevo utilizzo abilmente la psicoanalisi come nuovo linguaggio per raccontare il romanzo.

信教の自由の保障内容を、信仰の自由、宗教的行為の自由、宗教的結社の自由の三つに分類する学説(三分説)が有力であるが、これは、明治憲法時代の美濃部説そのままである。本稿は、信仰の自由、宗教的表現の自由、宗教的集会の自由、宗教的結社の自由、宗教的行為の自由の5分類を提唱し、それが19条、20条、21条を体系的かつ効率的に理解することにつながると主張するものである。

野生チンパンジーにおいて、同群の成熟個体を殺すことはまれである。特に、在位中のアルファオスが群れのメンバーによって殺される、という事例はこれまで報告されたことがない。本研究では、タンザニア・マハレ山塊国立公園のMグループでおきた殺害行動の概要と、死後の死体へのメンバーの反応について報告する。事件は、2011年10月2日におきた。アルファのPM(23歳)は在位4年目で健康なオスであった。事件は、PMと第二位のオス(PR)の喧嘩からPRが他のオスに助けを求めたことを発端とし、オス2個体を中心としたPMへの攻撃が始まった。攻撃は断続的に約2時間つづき、PMは死亡した。発表者はPMの死後直後に到着し、群れが現場から移動するまでの間、群れの観察をおこなった。到着時、PMの死体は水のない川岸すぐ脇の川底にあった。川岸15m程度頭上の木の枝に、攻撃時にPM擁護にまわったオスが座っていた。10m以内の藪にはPMを攻撃したオス数個体がいたが、数分でその場を離れた。その後、死体より3m以内の川岸にて、攻撃に加わっていないワカモノオスが枝を振り回して走り抜けるディスプレイをおこなった。直後に、数個体のメスが反対の川岸より15m~10m距離を横断した。そのうち1個体が向きを変えて死体の方へ接近したが、ワカモノオスのディスプレイにより離れた。つづいて来た子ども連れのメスが、死体に最接近した。顔に触れそうな距離で臭いを嗅ぎ、1m距離でしばし座った後、その場を離れた。一緒に来た子どもは、2m距離まで近づいたもののそれ以上は接近せず、少し離れた所から枝を振ったり、立ち上がってのぞきこむような行動をとった。事件は突発的におこったものだが、結果として現役アルファオスの死をもたらした。死後の死体への反応は、いずれも、通常ならアルファオスに対して絶対にとらない行動である。激しいけんかをしたと

エピソード記憶の想起は,過去の出来事を記述的に思い出すのではなく,過去の出来事を心的に再体験する感覚を伴う.すなわち,その記憶システムは,過去のエピソードに対するメンタルタイムトラベルを担っている.メンタルタイムトラベルは未来や反実仮想のエピソードへも可能であり,記憶システムはさまざまな時間軸でエピソードを(再)構成するものとして捉え直すことができる.この視点から,記憶システムがかかわる近年の研究を概観する.伊藤はエピソード的未来思考について,松本は自伝的エピソード記憶の詳細さについて,小林は外部記憶の利用によるcognitive offloadingについて,西山は記憶の意図的な制御と忘却について,三好は主観的メタ記憶の計算論とその反実仮想との関連性について紹介する.これら話題提供の後,村山と川口による指定討論を受け,記憶研究の新たな視点と今後の展開について議論する.

哺乳類において1997年に初めて体内時計遺伝子Clock,Periodが見出され,体内時計の分子基盤を追及する研究が盛んに行われ続けている.全ての生物のリズム現象を調べる学問として「時間生物学」が生まれるとともに,薬物の吸収,分布,代謝,排泄に体内時計が関わることから「時間薬理学」という学問領域が台頭してきた.薬と同様に,栄養の吸収,代謝などには体内時計が深く関わる可能性があるため,「薬」を「食品・栄養」に置き換え,体内時計との関係を研究する「時間栄養学」の領域が確立されている.ヒトを含む動物では,体内時計を24時間に合わせるために外界の光刺激に合わせて体内時計を同調させるリセット機構をもつ.最近の研究において,繰り返しの給餌刺激で形成される末梢臓器の体内時計のリセット効果は,光刺激による視交叉上核を介さないことも明らかになってきており,時間栄養学の研究の発展は著しい.肝臓の体内時計の位相変動作用は食餌内容の血糖上昇指数が高く,インシュリンを分泌しやすいほどリセットしやすいことがわかっている.一方,近年様々な疾患予防の観点から脂質の摂取が見直されている.その中でもn-3系脂肪酸は抗肥満をはじめとする様々な疾患に関わり,体内時計が関与する疾患との相関がみられている.筆者らはn-3系脂肪酸を豊富に含む魚油が,肝臓時計に位相変動作用を引き起こすことを明らかにした.魚油は大腸でGPR120レセプターを介するGLP-1分泌を通してグルコース濃度が上昇,さらにインシュリン分泌を強化することで体内時計の同調機構が確立することもわかっている.また,飽和脂肪酸で見られた体内時計の乱れや肥満に関わる炎症反応がDHAで予防されるほか,魚油の摂取時刻違いにより血中EPA・DHA濃度が変わるなどの知見も明らかとなり,今後さらなる発展が期待されている.

高齢人口の急増に伴い、世界の認知症人数は20年以内に1億6千万を超えると推測されており、認知症の7割を占めるアルツハイマー型認知症(Alzheimer’s disease, AD)の9割は加齢に伴い発症している。AD脳の病態にはアミロイドβ(Aβ)蓄積と凝集による老人班形成、Tau蛋白質過剰リン酸化による神経原線維変性およびミクログリア活性化による脳内炎症がある。一方、リウマチ関節炎などでみられる全身炎症は脳内炎症を誘発し、AD発症とその進行を促す。歯周病病原菌P.gingivalisの成分がAD剖検脳に検出されることから、歯周病がAD増悪因子として注目されている。私たちは独自に構築した解析手法を用いて、長年歯周病のAD誘発と病態への関与解明に取り込んでいる。本稿ではADにおける全身炎症の関わりを概説するともに、これまで明らかにした歯周病のADへの関与メカニズムを解説する。
