薬物療法や行動療法に反応しない強迫症(OCD)患者に対して様々な治療戦略が提案されているが,近年ニューロモデュレーションに注目が集まっている。OCDに対する研究が進んでいる治療法には,外科手術を伴い侵襲性の高い脳深部刺激療法(DBS)や,けいれんを伴う電気けいれん療法(ECT),侵襲性の低い経頭蓋直流電気刺激法(tDCS)や反復性経頭蓋磁気刺激法(rTMS)などがあり,本稿では,各治療法の有効性や有害事象について概説する。DBSは侵襲性が高い一方で重症難治例の半数程度に有効であり,ECTは無作為割付比較試験がないが6割程度の患者に何らかの良い効果を期待できる。tDCSは侵襲性が低いがまだ十分な研究が行われておらず,rTMSはメタアナリシスで有効性が示されているがまだ最適な刺激設定が明らかになっていないなど,それぞれの治療法にメリット,デメリットがあるため,今後のさらなる研究が期待される。

本研究では, 日本人幼児, 中国人幼児, 国際幼稚園の日本人幼児による英語非単語反復を比較し, 日本人幼児における英語音韻習得の制約を検討した。非単語反復とは, ある言語の典型的な音韻から構成された非単語を子どもに聴覚提示し, 即時反復させるものであり, その言語の音韻習得能力の指標と見なされている。2~5音節の英語非単語が反復刺激として, 日本人幼児46名, 中国人幼児63名, 国際幼稚園の日本人幼児29名に与えられた。その結果, 中国人幼児では, 非単語の音節数が増加するとともに, 完全正答数が減少し, 逆に, 音節再生数が増加した。一方, 日本人幼児では, 非単語の音節数の増加に伴う完全正答数の減少や音節再生数の増加は, 3音節で天井または床効果を示した。また, 国際幼稚園の日本人幼児では, 完全正答数や音節再生数は, 多かったが, 音節再生数の増加は, 一般の日本人と同様, 3音節で天井効果を示した。これらの結果から, 日本人幼児が, 英語の非単語の反復に, より多くの負荷をかけるような処理を行っていること, また, このような制約が早期の英語経験によって変化しにくいことが示唆された。

Liposarcoma of the spermatic cord is extremely rare in dogs and humans. This report describes the clinical signs, typical diagnostic imaging including ultrasound and computed tomography, and treatment of a liposarcoma of the spermatic cord of a Toy Poodle confirmed by histological examination after a surgical procedure. This case highlights the importance of preoperative diagnostic imaging and histopathological examination in dogs with an inguinal or scrotal mass.

寺田家は、十八世紀において京都の呉服商であったが、十九世紀初めに、越後国新し発ば田たの大名・溝口家の用よう聞きき、ついで京都留守居を務めるようになって士分に取り立てられ、やがて明治四年の廃藩置県を迎える。その間、六十年間以上にわたる関係史料は、約三千点にのぼる。なかでも、二十六冊に及ぶ御用留は、京都留守居の活動状況を知る上で興味深い。本稿は、この寺田家文書の概要を紹介するとともに、御用留の一端を提示して、その史料価値などについて考察する。

【目的】栄養士・管理栄養士養成課程卒業者のうち,食品製造業,食品流通業等の企業への就職者について,就業実態を調査し,職場で要求される知識・能力を検討する。【方法】半構造化面接法による予備調査を経て,本調査では企業で勤務する栄養士・管理栄養士を対象として,デルファイ法による二回連続の質問紙調査を実施した(対象者数は186人および147人)。調査の期間は第一回調査が平成22年4月中旬から6月下旬,第二回調査は,平成22年8月中旬から10月上旬である。第一回,第二回調査を通じて,自由記述回答の分析には,Berelsonの内容分析法を採用した。【結果】第一回調査は調査対象者186名,回答者数147名(回収率79%,有効回答141名)であり,第二回調査は調査対象者147名,回答者数83名(回収率56%,有効回答81名)であった。回答者の多くが「販売」,「研究開発」,「営業」等の部署で,栄養や食品に関する情報提供に関わる業務に就いていた。また,内容分析の結果,「職場において栄養士・管理栄養士として求められていると感じる知識・能力」については「コミュニケーション能力・相手の話を聞く,立場を理解する能力」,「栄養・栄養学に関する知識」等の31カテゴリが形成された。【結論】食品関連の企業で働く栄養士・管理栄養士は,高いコミュニケーション能力,とりわけ栄養・健康に関する専門知識を理解し,わかりやすく伝える能力が期待されることが示唆された。

In order to study the development of speech in infants with cleft palate, we investigated the development of consonant articulation in two cases (A, B) with cleft soft palate and in two cases (C, D) with cleft lip and palate before and after palatoplasty. We taperecorded their consonants in meaningful speech sounds and transcribed them.We made the following observations: (1) The frequency of consonants in meaningful speech sounds did not vary with the type of cleft or the timing of palatoplasty, and increased radically in the latter half of the second year and the first half of the third year. (2) Glottal stops occurred in the pre-palatoplasty periods but had almost disappeared three to ten months after palatoplasty in cases A, B, and C, whose velopharyngeal function was competent. (3) The speech sounds of these three cases were judged to be intelligible when the numbers of glottal stops decreased, the numbers of voiceless stops accounted for over 50% of all stops, and bilabial voiceless stops [p] appeared.

4, 5歳児が, サンタクロース, おばけ, アンパンマン (TVアニメのキヤラクター) といった日常的な想像物に対してどのような理解をしているかについて, 次のような方法で調べた。"サンタクロースと会ったことがありますか", "サンタクロースと会うことができると思いますか"などの行動感覚的基準による判断を求め, さらにその判断の基準をインタピュー形式で尋ねた。主な結果は次の通りである。 (1) 大部分の子どもはサンタクロースのような目常的な想像物が実在すると考えている, (2) 4歳児の判断の基準が実際の経験に基づくものであるのに対して, 5歳児の判断の基準は想像や推測に基づいている。

A mesoscale convective system (MCS) is organized thunderstorms with connected anvils, which has a significant impact on the global climate. By focusing on MCSs over the Maritime Continent of Indonesia, this study aims to gain a better understanding on the properties of the MCSs over the study area. The “Grab ‘em Tag ‘em Graph ‘em” (GTG) tracking algorithm is applied to hourly Multi-functional Transport Satellite-1R data for two years to observe the distribution of MCSs and the evolution of MCSs along their lifetime. The results of MCS identification by using GTG are combined with CloudSat data products to study the vertical structure of the MCSs at various MCS life stages: developing, mature, and dissipating. The distribution of MCSs over Indonesia has a seasonal variation and distinct diurnal cycle. The life stages of the observed MCSs are characterized by distinct cloud microphysics at each stage. In the developing stage, the upper level of the MCS raining region shows the presence of precipitating ice particles. As the MCS progresses to the mature stage, the proportion of the raining area becomes small and the intensity of rain is reduced, accompanied by increasing occurrence of small-sized ice particles at the upper level. In the dissipating stage, large hydrometeors no longer exist at the upper part of the raining region. Within the MCS anvils, the dissipating stage shows a more uniform distribution of ice-particle effective radius compared to that shown by the developing and mature stages. MCS characteristics over the land and ocean differ on the basis of the minimum brightness temperature, the equivalent radius, the maximum rain rate, and the rain fraction that varies along the MCS evolution.

We propose the prototype of Head Mounted Display using Holographic Optical Element. A single HOE can separate the stereoscopic images onto the left and right eyes by its characteristics, that is angular selectivity and wavelength selectivity. We prototyped the HMD that has miniaturization, lightening, wide filed of vision.

Urethral prolapse is a rare condition in dogs and cats. A 7-month-old male cat presented with intermittent penile bleeding and a red mass protruding from the tip of the penis. Urethral prolapse was diagnosed by using a surgical microcamera to examine the genital area. Urethroplasty and preputial advancement surgery were performed using a surgical microscope, to successfully correct the urethral prolapse.

3ヵ月齢のメスのシベリアトラが,後肢運動失調を主訴として建国大学獣医学教育病院に来院した.患畜は離乳後牛肉のみを給餌されており,カルシウム剤やビタミン剤は与えられていなかった.その症状は運動失調と,触診による後躯の疼痛であった.さらに,歩行異常,体動嫌悪,また神経学的検査により反射運動低下がみられた.レントゲンのラテラル像およびV-D像で腰仙骨の骨軟化性変化が観察された.PTHレベルは,猫のそれと比較して,上昇が認められた.以上の所見から本症例は栄養性二次性上皮小体機能亢進症と診断された.患畜の症状はビタミンDおよびカルシウム投与後,改善された.すなわち本症例は,カルシウムとリンの音量が不均衡な肉食で飼育された野生動物に発生した栄養性上皮小体機能亢進症である.
