環境問題や建設費削減など、様々な観点から、ストック活用の必要性が叫ばれている。既存建築の再生の事例やノウハウを紹介するシリーズ「ストック再生の時代」。第1回は、27年間の違法状態を是正した後、現行法規に適合させた大阪市の住宅「gather」を紹介する。 その住宅の建て主から、宮本佳明建築設計事務所(兵庫県宝塚市)に連絡があったのは、2004年5月のことだ。

Engineers and general workers have been internationalized by getting jobs around the world according to the recent economic globalization. Six countries signed the Washington Accord in 1989, which recognizes the substantial equivalence of the accreditation systems for the engineering education programs among the organizations of the signatories. In 2001, Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education was established and now is advancing to join the Washington Accord as a member. As for the development of products and manufacturing, not only scientists and engineers but also technicians are indispensable. The higher vocational education for technicians is now becoming important for the technicians to play a role in the borderless manufacturing world. In Japan, the Polytechnic University and Colleges make higher vocational education for engineers and technicians under the authority of the administration of Health, Labor and Welfare. In the present paper, the higher educational training programs for engineers and technicians being made in the Polytechnic College are examined and compared with the standard programs in Canada in order to search the possibility of multinational agreement in these fields.

In this paper, we propose the parallel architecture for high speed calculations of SHA-1, a widely used cryptographic hash function. Parallel SHA-1 consists of a number of base modules which process the message digest in parallel manner. The base module uses state of art SHA-1 acceleration techniques: loop unfolding, pre-processing, and pipelining. We achieved the performance improvement of 5.8% over the pipeline architecture that is known to have nearly achieved the theoretical performance limit. We implemented our system on the Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA and verified the operations by interfacing it with MicroBlaze soft processor core.

運動失調症においては, 種々の協調障害がいかなる能力障害を引きおこすかを整理する事が重要である。このような視点より, 以下の事が結論づけられた。(1)躯幹協調機能は, 移動能力をはじめとするADLとの相関が高く, 機能障害のなかで独立して扱う必要性が認められた。(2)上記に基づき, 躯幹協調機能ステージは, 臨床的にも簡便で正確な評価が可能であった。(3)坐位重心動揺結果は躯幹協調機能ステージとの関係が密接で, 立位重心動揺における結果も含めた解析を行うと, より有効な解釈が可能となった。(4)上記より, 運動失調症における機能障害分類の重要性と, それに基づく合目的理学療法の必要性が示された。

アンディソルとインセプティソルにおける硫酸イオンの現存量を調査し,以下のことを明らかにした。1)吸着態硫酸イオンが主体であるPO_4可溶性Sは全Sの約30%を占める主要な画分であり,その含有率はアンディソルでは16〜880mg S kg^<-1>と高く,インセプティソルでは10〜296mg S kg^<-1>と低く,明瞭な差があった。また欧米の土壌の既報値に比べ,本邦のアンディソルが含有する吸着態硫酸イオンは著しく多く,全Sに占める割合も高かった。2)溶存態硫酸イオン(Cl可溶性Sおよび水溶性S)は両土壌でPO_4可溶性Sよりも含有率が有意に低く,全Sの10%に満たなかった。そのため硫酸イオンはほとんど吸着態で存在していることが明らかになった。3)両土壌におけるPO_4可溶性Sの断面プロファイルは,表層で低く50cm〜1m深で最大値に達する特徴を持っており,とくにメラニューダンドでは最大値に達してからも,高い含有率が下層で維持されていた。4)PO_4可溶性Sは,硫酸イオン吸着能を持つ鉄やアルミニウムの酸化物,とくに腐植複合体画分を除いた非晶質酸化物やアロフェンといった非晶質粘土鉱物,さらに結晶質鉄酸化物の存在に影響を受けていると推察された。溶存態硫酸イオンのうち,交換性硫酸イオン含有率もまたこれらの土壌因子に影響を受けていることが示された。5)メラニューダンドの下層では,硫酸イオン吸着能が著しく高く,その高い硫酸イオン吸着能が水溶性硫酸イオン含有率を低く維持していることが推察された。6)表層から1m深まで積算したPO_4可溶性Sの現存量は,アンディソルでは870〜2670kg S ha^<-1>,インセプティソルでは91〜1440kg S ha^<-1>であった.溶存態硫酸イオンの現存量はPO_4可溶性Sに比べ著しく低く,表層から1m深までの積算で,Cl可溶性Sはアンディソルで17〜103kg S ha^<-1>,インセプティソルで13〜144kg Sha^<-1>,水溶性Sの現存量はアンディソルで23〜56kg S ha^<-1>,インセプティソルで26〜91kg S ha^<-1>であった。

OR/MSの教育に携わっている研究者の多くは,理工系出身であることが多い.彼らが文系でOR/MS教育を担当する場合には,理系,文系の文化の違いなどにより,大きな戸惑いを見せることが少なくない.ここでは,理系,文系における教育の考え方や文化の違いについて概観し,学生の行動を単純な経済学的モデルで説明した.次いで導入科目として位置づけられたOR/MSに焦点を絞り,学生の行動を勘案した効果的な教育方法を,筆者の経験を中心に展開した.なおそこでの考え方は,経験に重点がおかれている関係上,かなり主観的ではあるが,何らかの参考になればと考えている.

Currently, we have developed a basic framework of general narrative generation system for the purpose of supporting human creative tasks. In this paper, we examine the narrative conceptual generation process by computer through analysing a short detective story. As a result of the analysis, we could devide narrative structure into three aspects; story, plot and construction. While the story is an events sequence that was arranged according to a temporal order in a narrative world, the plot is an events sequence that was reorganized by an order which each event is introduced into a narrative. The construction is the most detailed conceptual representation. A narrative generation process is performed by expanding or transforming a tree structure through these levels. In this paper, we introduce some kinds of relational knowledge that operates the narrative tree based on the analysis.

大阪・門真市。閑古鳥が鳴き続ける小さな玩具店で、22歳を過ぎたばかりの青年は毎日、お客を待ち続けていた。 青年の店は、父が経営する玩具店の支店として新しく出したものだった。最初のうちはお客が来てくれた。しかし、ほどなくして近くに大手総合スーパーができると太刀打ちできなくなり、たちまち開店休業状態に陥った。 つらい毎日だった。

This study analyzed the changes brought about to consciousness of residents concerning dwelling and other life conditions after the latest Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and we then intend to consider what life style should be. The residents we observed live in apartments owned by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation at five places in Kobe and its adjacent cities, Nishinomiya, Takarazuka and Amagasaki which were all disaster stricken by the earthquake. In this first paper we are to clarify difficult living conditions suffered by the residents just after the earthquake. The results are as follows: People were busily engaged from just after the earthquake in supplying drinking water, food and other daily necessities which had not been stored for emergency use. The most difficult problems was the shortage of life sustaining water. There were also other difficulties such as the inconvenience arising from the stoppage of elevators and feelings of insecurity and stress on the part of the residents dwelling at higher floors of high-rise apartments. It is necessary to consider the solutions for these problems on planning urban high-rise dwelling. Most older couples, older sigle people and families having school-age children took refuge in regional public shelters or stayed at home as they were anxious to keep close to their neighbourhood communities. Most people were provided with drinking water, food and other daily necessities, living space by their relatives and friends. On the whole enough support was not given by government bodies and volunteer groups. It is necessary to try to augment government support and to keep ready an emergency volunteer support system. Neighbourhood community play important role at emergency, providing such support as rescue activities, transportation and distribution of water, delivery of information, etc.
