本論文は、「グローバル人材の育成」をめぐる諸アクターの行動を分析し、グローバル人材を論じつつも、それがローカルな視点に立脚するものであるかを明らかにする。 分析の結果、1.2000年代に入り産業界は海外勤務従業員の育成を課題としてグローバル人材を論じはじめ、2.2000年代後半には、それが大学の課題となり、3.文科省は競争的資金で大学を誘導し、4.大学は海外留学と実践的な英語教育に力を入れ、5.小規模大学もグローバルを鍵とした学部・学科の改編を実施していることが明らかになり、これらが時間的にも空間的にもローカルな閉じた議論であることを指摘した。

This study investigated whether cognitions and emotions elicited by media violence mediate aggressive behavior. Eighty undergraduates, 40 men and 40 women, participated in the experiment. First, subjects were exposed to one of four violent videos which varied in levels of violence and entertainment. Subjects' heart rate and eyeblink rate were continuously recorded while they watched the video. After watching it, subjects described their thoughts which occurred while watching it and rated their affective reactions to it. Finally, their aggressive behavior was measured. Results showed that (1) videos high in violence elicited more aggressive thoughts, more thoughts of negative affect, stronger negative affects, and stronger empty-powerless affects, whereas videos high in entertainment elicited stronger positive affects; (2) no significant differences were found among the videos in terms of physiological reactions and aggressive behavior; and (3) cognitions and emotions elicited by media violence did not mediate aggressive behavior.

歴史的な人間活動の結果、沿岸域と汽水域におけるハビタットの消失が進み、これに基づく生態系機能の劣化が世界的に深刻化した。そして現在、沿岸生態系の保全が国際的に重要な課題になっている。福井県南部に位置する汽水湖沼群の三方五湖もその一例であり、沿岸ハビタットの再生が当水域の自然再生を進める上での大きな課題の一つに挙げられている。 2011年には多様な主体の参加の下、三方五湖自然再生協議会が設立され、 3つのテーマにまたがる 20の自然再生目標に向けて、 6つの部会が自然再生活動を開始した。その中の自然護岸再生部会では、既往の護岸を活かし、湖の生態系機能を向上させることを目的に、 2016年より湖毎に現地調査とワークショップを開始した。そして 2020年には、それらの結果を「久々子湖、水月湖、菅湖、三方湖、及びはす川等の自然護岸再生の手引き」として整理した。さらに、当協議会のシジミのなぎさ部会では、かつて自然のなぎさであった久々子湖の 2地点と水月湖の 1地点で、手引き書を踏まえたなぎさ護岸の再生を 2020 -2021年に実施した。本稿では、三方五湖におけるこれらの自然護岸再生に向けた実践活動を報告する。

This study investigated the effects of anger evoked by earlier provocation on cognition, emotion, and aggressive behavior after being exposed to media violence. Sixty male undergraduates participated in the experiment. Before viewing one of three videos (either highly violent, violent with high entertainment, or nonviolent), half of the subjects were provoked by a confederate posing as another subject. Subjects' heart rates and eyeblink rates were recorded while viewing the video. After viewing the video, subjects described their thoughts that occurred while watching the video and rated their affective reactions toward the video. Finally, subjects' agressive behavior toward the confederate was measured. Results of covariance structure analysis suggested that (a) anger evoked by provocation and high level of violence in videos additively elicited negative cognition and affect, which further facilitated aggressive behavior, and (b) high level of entertainment in videos elicited positive cognition and affect, which alleviated negative cognition and affect.

The iota toxin produced by Clostridium perfringens type E is a binary toxin comprising two independent polypeptides:Ia, an ADP-ribosyltransferase, and Ib, which is involved in cell binding and translocation of Ia across the cell membrane. Binary toxin family includes C. perfringens iota toxin, C. difficile CDT, C. spiroforme CST, C. botulinum C2, and B. anthracis anthrax toxin. Here we introduce the binary toxin complex structures using single-particle Cryo-EM structural analysis and the structural basis of toxin translocation system.

仙台藩警察機構の末端組織の特徴を江戸の町奉行所のそれと比較しつつ研究した結果、(1)江戸ではやくざ者でもある目明し(岡っ引)の使用が近世後期には禁止されたのに対し、仙台藩では城下の目明しが幕末まで一貫して公的に使用された。(2)江戸では町奉行所の管轄が江戸市中に限られたのに対し、仙台藩では、城下の警察業務を担当した小人目付、同心、及び目明しが、在方にも出張して警察業務を行った。(3)そのため、彼等の手先が在方にも存在し、とくに被差別民が重要な役割を果たした。おそよ以上の新知見を得られた。

インターネットの発展に伴い, 若年層において, インターネットがいじめの手段として用いられることも多くなってきた。このネットいじめに関しては, 多くの先行研究より, 被害者が誰にも相談しない場合が多いことが示されてきた。そこで本研究は, ネットいじめの被害者における, 周囲への相談行動が抑制されるまでの過程について検討を行った。その際, ネットいじめの脅威に対する認知が, 無力感を媒介して周囲への相談行動を抑制するという仮説に基づいて検討を行った。まず予備調査を実施し, 高校生および大学生8,171名より, 283名(3.5%)のネットいじめ被害経験者を抽出した。続いて本調査では, そのうち217名に, ネットいじめの被害経験, 被害時の脅威認知, 無力感, 周囲への相談行動を尋ねた。その結果, 被害時の脅威認知は, 孤立性, 不可避性, 波及性の3因子から構成されることが示された。また, ネットいじめ被害によって強められた脅威認知が, 無力感を経て相談行動を抑制していることも示された。これらの結果は仮説を支持するものであり, ネットいじめの速やかな解決のためには, 被害時の脅威認知を低減させる取り組みが重要であることが示唆された。

症例は39才,男性. 28才時に全身性エリテマトーデスの診断にて,以後ステロイド療法が施行された. 34才時,胸痛が出現し急性心筋梗塞と診断された. 36才時に言語障害と右不全麻痺が出現し,脳梗塞を合併した. 39才時,二度目の心筋梗塞発作で死亡した.剖検上,全身の著しい動脈硬化性病変を認め,特に冠状動脈と中大脳動脈に器質化血栓を伴うアテローム性動脈硬化症が認められた.全身性エリテマトーデス症例における動脈硬化促進因子については,全身性エリテマトーデス固有の血管炎・血栓をきたしやすい病態,ステロイド長期投与の影響の他に,高血圧,高脂血症,大量喫煙などの多様な因子の存在も重要な役割を果たしていると考えられた.

ツイートに含まれる特徴と位置情報を対応させることで,実世界を観測するセンサとしてTwitterを活用することができる.しかし位置情報が付加されたツイートは少なく,Twitterをセンサとして活用するときの問題の1つとなる.そこで本研究では,ツイートの投稿位置を推定し,より多くのツイートに正確な位置情報を付与することを目的とする.この目的を達成するために,ツイート中のノイズとなる単語を除去するためのフィルタリング手法を提案する.また,単語の地理的分布を平滑化するためのスムージング手法も提案する.これらの提案手法が従来手法よりも有効に機能することを示し,その考察を行う.

関東山地両神山地域に分布する両神山チャートユニットは,地質図に表現しうる3つのサブユニットに区分される.両神山チャートユニットは全体として,チャート砕屑岩シーケンスが構造的に積み重なったパイルナップ構造を呈している.サブユニット1とサブユニット2のチャートからジュラ紀中世Aalenianを,両サブユニットの珪質泥岩からはジュラ紀中世Bajocian~Bathonian前期を示す放散虫化石がそれぞれ得られた.復元した海洋プレート層序の比較からは,両神山チャートユニットが秩父累帯北帯の柏木層あるいは橋立層群に起源をもつナップであるとするとらえ方は成立しがたい.両神山チャートユニットに比較可能な秩父累帯の地質体としては,南帯の海沢層と北帯の上吉田層がその候補として挙げられる.

Users’ attributes, such as home location, are necessary for various applications, such as news recommendations and event detections. However, most real user attributes (e.g., home location) are not open to the public. Therefore, their attributes are estimated by relationships between users. A social graph constructed from relationships between users can help estimate home locations, but it is difficult to collect many relationships, such as followers’ relationships. We focus on users whose home locations are difficult to estimate, so that we can select users whose locations can be accurately estimated before collecting relationships. In this paper, we use their profiles which can be collected before collecting relationships. Then, we analyze difficult users with their profiles. As a result, we found that users whose home locations incorrectly estimated had a longer duration since the date their account was created, longer name, and longer description. In addition, the results indicated that the users whose home locations were incorrectly estimated differed from those whose home locations could not be estimated.
