本研究は,学生が実習前後において精神障害者に抱くイメージとその変化を明らかにすることを目的とした.対象者は,1998~2000年度の精神看護実習に参加した長野県看護大学生236名である.自由記述による回答を質的に分析してカテゴリー化し,カテゴリー毎に実習前後のデータ数を比較した.その結果,精神障害者に抱くイメージとして≪疾患と症状≫≪特有の性質≫≪学生自身の思い≫など,実習前14,実習後18のカテゴリーが抽出された.また実習前後におけるイメージは,学生の生活体験や授業の知識によるものから,実際に精神障害者

This study compared behavioral characteristics and job stressors of operators and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), examining the causal relations with factors contributing to mental illness. An anonymous web questionnaire survey was implemented targeting 600 individuals including presidents, directors, and individuals above the position of section chiefs of SMEs. Of them, 370 individuals were targeted for analysis, including 143 male presidents with less than 50 employees under them, 140 male managers, and 87 female managers. The covariance structure analysis results revealed that “malfunctional coping” in male presidents and managers had a positive influence on “job stressors,” and job stressors have a positive correlation with “mental illness.” However, for female managers, the path coefficient for “job stressors” with “malfunctional coping” was not significant and was not positively correlated with mental illness.Thus, male presidents and managers did not seek support from or appeal to others, or tried to do their best without complaining, which heightened job stressors and strengthened vulnerability to mental illness. However, female managers’ coping without seeking support or appealing to others had no influence on job stressors and did not cause any indirect vulnerability to mental illness.

<Purpose> The purpose of this study was to investigate the strength of the glenoid labrum and capsule.<br><Materials and method> 15 shoulders of fresh cadavers were used for this study.6 of them were the right side and the rest of the 9 were the left side. Their ages ranged from fifty-five to eightyeight years. There were 6 males and 3 females. We determined the anterior, inferior and posterior portion of the labrum and capsule as the 3,6 and 9 o'clock position, respectively. The labrum and capsle were cut in 5mm width pieces. After fixing the glenoid, each respective piece of labrum and capsule was strained. We measured the applied force which detached the labrum from the glenoid.<br><Results> The 4 o'clock position was comparatively weaker than any other position, irrespective of the age or sex of the cadaver.<br><Conclusion> We conclude that the anterior-inferior portion of the glenoid is weaker than any other portion.

Not only in Japan but also in other countries, there are some case studies in the museum using virtual reality and augmented reality technologies. Based on this trend, Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. developed Toppan VR which a method to show digital archive data, and have organized the Museum Theater with Tokyo National Museum (Tohaku). This research designed a service on The Great Map of Japan (Inouzu) in order to expand the user experience in the museum as well as to solve some issues extracted through operational experiences. This service designed 4 touch points on Inouzu, an interactive map viewer, a VR movie "Map of Japan created by Ino Tadataka" at Museum Theater, a workshop on pace countings, Special exhibition "Map of Japan created by Ino Tadataka" at Heiseikan Thematic Exhibition Room, and aligned them. As a result of the evaluation tests, this service changed passive experiences on the Museum Theater to more subjective experiences, and achieved more effective linkage between the Museum Theater and the exhibition.

都市における緑地とその利用行動が居住者の健康関連 QOL に及ぼす影響について把握するために,東京都区内の住宅地においてアンケート調査を実施した。調査データから,緑地環境を含む「地区環境」「利用行動」「健康関連 QOL」を構成概念とするパスモデルを構造方程式モデリング (SEM) によって構築した。その結果,地区環境と利用行動は健康関連 QOL の 20%を説明し,両者の影響は直接的には同程度であること,しかし地区環境は利用行動を通して間接的にも影響することが示唆された。よって健康関連 QOLを高めるためには物理的な緑地環境だけではなく,利用行動も合わせて検討することが重要であると考えられた。

筋弛緩薬投与を行う際, 特に麻酔科医の頭を悩ませるのは術中の維持投与法である. 術中の体動や咳嗽反射を起こさず, かつ手術終了とともに素早く回復する状態に保つことが目標となる. ロクロニウムはベクロニウムとほぼ同等の作用持続時間をもつため, 従来の間欠的投与法でも大差なく使用することはできる. しかしこのほかにも持続投与法, 目標制御注入法 (target controlled infusion: TCI) のような各種投与法が存在するため, 状況に応じて使用する必要がある. 共通する投与のポイントはこれらの投与法の利点・欠点をふまえ, 筋弛緩モニターを有効に使用するとともに薬物動態を意識して投与することである.

This paper explores the studies of children and childhood in the western society in the Middle Ages. Since the publication of "Centurirs of childhood" in which Aries asserted that the concept of childhood had not been recognized in the western medieval society, many writers have supported the idea. Recent findings of medievalists' researches, however, show different results from Aries's. Pollock, Schultz and Shahar argue that the concept of childhood existed in the medieval centuries. This paper states how these researchers believe of the childhood, image of children and how children were treated at that time.

The flavor of food is not just limited to the sense of taste, however it changes according to the perceived information from other perception such as from the auditory, visual, tactile sense or through individual experience or cultural background etc. Our proposed entertainment system "Gravitamine Spice" focuses on the cross modal of our perception, where we perceive the weight of food when we carry the utensil. This system consist of a fork and a seasoning called the "OMOMI". User can change the weight of the food when flaking the seasoning onto it. Through this sequence of actions, user can enjoy a different eating experience, which may change the taste of their food or the feeling of the food when they are chewing it.

近年,オフィスにおけるパソコン作業 (VDT作業) は増加しており,VDT作業による精神的な疲労が社会的問題となっている。そこで本研究では,作業机の上に植物を設置することによる VDT作業時の疲労緩和効果を主観的および客観的指標から検証した。その結果,植物の設置による生理的な変化は見られなかったが,作業における疲労に対する主観的評価が減少する傾向がみられた。これらの結果から,オフィスにおけるパソコン作業上のデスクに植物を設置することは心理的な側面から疲労緩和に有効であると考えられた。

In this paper, numerical simulation for influenza infection was conducted using difference between air-flow course and virus-moving course. An alteration of radius of virus droplet changes sedimentation velocity. Then, the radius is affected by temperature and humidity around droplets. Flying virus drops may combine to other droplets. The repetition of the combination between droplets affects the sedimentation velocity of the droplet. Furthermore, using survival rate of influenza virus and human resistance, more realistic simulation is enabled. In this paper, the effectiveness of the method was shown carrying out infection simulation in an indoor environment.

In the present study we report two cases of secondary chondrosarcoma arising from osteochondroma. The first case was a 54-year-old male who had a large mass in the right pelvis, which arose from multiple osteochondroma. The second case was a 34-year-old male who had a cartilaginous mass arising from solitary osteochondroma of distal fibula. Radiological examination showed irregular calcification and thick caltilaginous cap in both cases. The secondary chondrosarcoma arising from solitary osteochodroma such as in the second case, is extremely rare. There has been only one previous report of a case in which secondary chondrosarcoma arose at distal fibula. In the present two cases, we resected the two tumors by wide margin. The clinical course of these patients was good and they returned to their jobs.

This paper describes design, fabrication and performance of the miniature walker developed for a new precision production system. This machine consists of piezo-actuators and electromagnetic legs which are synchronized as to move like an inchworm and those elements are jointed mechanically for the machine to walk on any curved surface including a wall and a ceiling. The magnetic forces of this small machine can be remote controlled critically for preventing from slipping and falling down although conventional inchworm mechanisms need some guide rails or are restricted on a horizontal plane. This arrangement also allows the lack of mechanical elements which may provide a very high positioning resolution with a wider working area. In the experiments, our miniature machines which are the size of golf ball are fabricated and they can move on any inclined surface with continuous sub-micron steps. This results means the mini-walkers have the feasibility for applying to a new precision production system where they can cooperate with conventional machines.
