A 市 B 地区の 7 名の男性住民を対象に特定健診・特定保健指導の受診に関連する要因等をグループインタビュー方式で尋ね,録音記録を KJ 法で分析した.その結果,特定健診の受診に関する要因として,【特定健診の受診には,意識改革,指導効果の実感,初回受診がポイントになる】,【特定健診の目的が達成されていない状況がある】,【健診受診率を高めるためには小地域単位での地域への働きかけが効果的である】,【特定健診を受けない理由として健診体制の不備がある】,【特定健診で病気がみつかることへの不安があるため受診しない】,【かかりつけ医を頼っていれば十分である】,【老いや健康などに対する価値観の違いがある】の 7 つの島が抽出された.これらより,受診しなければいけないという意識と受診し良かったという体験が,受診の動機に繋がっていることが考えられた.その一方で,老いや健康に関する価値観は受診を阻む要因ともなることが考えられた.

精神科病院に入院中の患者64 名を対象に,病室にふさわしい・ふさわしくない寝具の色と異なる6 色の寝具に対する印象を調査した.寝具の色には,白とペール(うすい)トーンの赤,黄,緑,青,紫を用いた. (1) 病室にふさわしい寝具の色は,男性は白,女性はうすい赤を最も多く選択した.ふさわしくない寝具の色は,男性はうすい赤,女性はうすい黄を最も多く選択した. (2) うすい赤に対して抱くイメージに,男女間で最も多く有意差がみられた.女性の方が男性よりうすい赤に対し肯定的なイメージを抱いた. (3) うすい青に対して抱くイメージに,回答時の気分による差がみられた.気分が暗い患者の方が,うすい青に対し安心できる寝具であると評価した. (4) 因子分析の結果,「心理的快適性」,「機能的快適性」,「派手さ」の3 因子が抽出された.「心理的快適性」の平均因子得点は,うすい青,白,うすい緑が高かったことから,これらの色は 精神科病院の寝具に推奨できることが確認された.

保全農業の採用に際して雑草は作物と資源を競合するのでその管理は最も大きな問題であるが,雑草の持続可能な管理と利用に関する研究はあまり進んでいない.刈り払いと刈り敷きがダイズの栽培にいかに有効であるかを調べた.不耕起草生栽培は,作物を自然に農地に生える雑草とともに栽培し,雑草を刈り,緑肥として使うという点で保全農業の原則を踏襲している.雑草を3つの異なる頻度で刈り,刈られた草からの窒素放出量を求めた.ダイズの栽培において,雑草を0回(S0),1回(S1),そして2回(S2)刈り取る処理区を設けた.この調査区では1回刈り取りがダイズの収量を確保するのに十分であり,S1とS2はS0の2倍の収量であった.刈り取り回数の増加は,土壌炭素,窒素濃度を増加させており,雑草から土壌への窒素移動を示唆していた.さらに土壌微生物バイオマス量の増加をもたらした.雑草の適切な刈り払いと刈り敷きとしての利用は,低投入の農地で作物の生長を支えるために有効な方法である.

Objective: It is often difficult and has a potential risk of vessel injury to navigate a catheter or a microcatheter through the difficult types of aortic arches and through an occluded segment of the intracranial arteries under fluoroscopic guidance alone. Herein, we demonstrate a supportive technique of virtual fluoroscopic imaging from a data of non-contrast CT for a case of thrombectomy for acute occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery (MCA).Case Presentation: An 85-year-old woman was transferred to our hospital with complaints of left-sided paralysis, dysarthria, and aphasia. CT revealed a hyperdense MCA sign, suggesting acute right MCA occlusion. CT showed bovine type of aortic arch too. Subsequently, mechanical thrombectomy was performed with the right brachial approach. A guiding catheter and a microcatheter system were successfully navigated into the target lesion under virtual fluoroscopic imaging guidance, and then thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (TICI) 3 recanalization was obtained in puncture-to-recanalization time of 37 minutes.Conclusion: Virtual fluoroscopic images helped us to perform thrombectomy in a case of acute MCA occlusion, which provided anatomical information on the artery distal to the occlusion site, and were useful in determining the direction of the wire guidance.

Suwa Maternity Clinic (SMC) has provided pre-adoption consultation to infertile couples since the consultation section for patients (Kounotori Sōdan-shitsu) was opened in the hospital in 2003. In this research, we analyzed cases of consultation to evaluate the significance of adoption-related information and support activities to sterile couples by medical organizations. We collected the treatment histories of couples who had sought pre-adoption consultation from their medical records which were kept by SMC. We explained the purpose of our research and obtained their consent to cooperate by telephone, and conducted a survey by e-mail asking them about their experience of adoption and their current circumstances. SMC provided consultation to 32 couples over 14 years. Nineteen couples adopted 21 children through the special adoption system (tokubetsu yōshi engumi). Fourteen out of the 19 began adoption procedures while they were undertaking infertility treatments, and 5 couples began after giving up treatment. The age of the adopted children when they started to live with adoptive parents ranged from 0 days to 23 months old ; 15 children were less than 7 days old. The adoptions of 11 children were coordinated by a public organization, the local Child Consultation Center (Jidō Sōdan-sho), while those of 10 were coordinated by private adoption agencies. SMC set up networking opportunities for adoptive families. We conclude that pre-adoption consultation at medical organizations for treatment of sterility is meaningful for the well-being of adopted children as well as infertile couples who have given up treatment.

A new subspecies, Accipiter virgatus iwasakii, subsp. nov., was described as a smaller resident Riu Kiu race with more rounded wing-formular compared with the northern(Korean)form. Its known range is Ishigaki and Iromote islands of the South Riu Kius.The Riu Kiu population of Anous stolidus is smaller and paler than that of Micronesia, A. s. pileatus (Scopoli). Therefore the name, A. s. pullus Bangs, is to be recognized for the birds of Ishigaki and Iriomote islands, S. Riu Kius.

The present study investigated relative disregard of labor conditions among candidates of teacher. They are tend to be attracted to worthwhileness or precious value of teaching profession, so such relative disregard was predicted to occur among them. A questionnaire was administered to 192 junior students who belong to faculty of education. As the main question, subjects were asked to rate importance scales between labor conditions (3 kinds: not need to transfer, fair salary, and private time) and attractiveness in his/her job contents (each 3 items ×2 categories: making the most of his/her individuality and playing his/her part in the job). The main results are as follows:(1) Students with high intrinsic work motivation relatively disregarded of all kind of labor conditions than the other students.(2) Under controlled intrinsic work motivation, teacher candidates relatively disregarded of fair salary and private time.(3) Female students relatively disregard fair salary and private time more than male. Mechanism of relative disregard for teacher candidates and suggestion for career formation support were discussed.

For central nervous system disorders' rehabilitation, it is important to accurately understand motor control and implement an appropriate motor learning process to induce neuroplastic changes. The neurophysiological studies have revealed that neural control mechanisms are crucial during both the onset of muscular activities and muscle release after contraction. When performing various movements during daily activities, muscle relaxation control enables precise force output and timing control. Moreover, surround inhibition is a functional mechanism in the motor system. Surround inhibition of the motor system may be involved in the selective execution of desired movements. This review demonstrates cortical excitability resulting from motor learning, movement control mechanisms including muscle relaxation and the suppression of nontarget muscle groups, and the voluntary drive's importance that is required for movement.
