学校図書館を広く活用し、児童の読解力・表現力を向上させることのできる授業を研究するにあたり、児童の主体性を引き出すことのできる「ブックトーク」「ビブリオバトル」「ライティングワークショップ」という3つの読書活のカリキュラム化の有効性と可能性について研究したものである。1. 研究の概要(1) 「ブックトーク」「ビブリオバトル」小学生の各学年の発達段階においてどのように取り組ませることが有効かを検討するため、教材文を学習する前や後に2つの活動を取り入れた。発達段階における適切な指導法、ルール設定などを児童のワークシートや対話から考察する。(2) 「ライティングワークショップ」書くことへの苦手意識を取り除き、楽しんで書くことを継続できるように年間を通して「ライティングワークショップ」に取り組ませる。児童のアンケート調査からカリキュラム化の可能性を探る。2. 研究の結果(1) 「ブックトーク」「ビブリオバトル」教材を学習したあとに取り組む場合は、授業で獲得した知識を活用し主体的に活動に取り組むことができた。教材を読む前の場合は、例えば「やまなし」を学習する前に、宮沢賢治の本のブックトークをした6年生では「やまなし」を読んだときに「あの作品と似ているところがある」や「賢治が伝えたいことは変わっていない」など、作品と作品を結び付けて考える力がついていた。さらに、よい本と巡り合えないと、よいブックトークやビブリオバトルができないことから、多くの本に出会おうとする児童の姿が見られた。(2) 「ライティングワークショップ」3年生、4年生、6年生で実践を行った結果、すべての児童が一人一冊本を発行することができた。原稿用紙を絵本型・文庫型・幼年童話型など工夫することで、どの子も進んで書くことができていた。また、書いた作品を教室の後ろに並べることで、作者と読者が本を介してコミュニケーションをとる姿も見られた。

A new type of paper, which composition is mixed of PLA and cellulose, was developed through heat molding process in this study. After folding of paper, this high performance paper contained thermoplastic PLA can be molded by heating and produced to the crafts. The properties of paper before and after the heating were examined and the results demonstrated their characteristics with high performance. In particular, the folding test showed that the developed paper was folded easily by hand. From the results of heat shrinkage test, it was also shown that the heat shrinkage ratio of the paper was suppressed by mixing cellulose. When PLA fiber content is lower than 60 wt%, heat shrinkage of the paper does not occur after heating. The results of tensile tests showed that heating increases the tensile strength of the paper and the tensile strength reaches the maximum value at 20 wt% PLA content.

The aim of this study is to elucidate post-elastic mechanism and the nature of failure of a machine-made paper under the condition of uniaxial tensile or edgewise compression loading. In order to obtain a direct evidence of the inelastic deformation of the sheet related to its structural changes, observations were made both at the sheet surface and on cross sections of the sheet after reaching prescribed strain levels.In this study, the oriented 80 g/m2, and the 240 g/m2 NBKP machine-made sheets were used. The damaged sites, that is microcracks, on the specimen surface were clearly detected as bright spots, known as electron charging, under SEM observing conditions. From the preliminary test, it was found that these charging spots were not caused by artifacts, but were generated only by the applied external force. The damages occurring within the sheet under loading were counted by using a digitizer along a set of scan lines depicted on the enlarged photo mosaic, which covered the whole sectional view of the test specimen.As a result, the strain at elastic limit of the tested sheets was 0.2%, and the residual strain was increased proportionally as increment of the applied strain. The sheets always behaved as a orthotropic body such as a oriented-fiber reinforced material. This may suggest that mechanical properties for MD and CD highly depend on the amount of load-bearing fibers, thick-walled fibers, laid down in MD and CD, which correspond to the framework components within a sheet. On the other hand, the matrix components, such as thin-walled fibers, fines, loosened fibrils, and exudated hemicelluloses etc., should contribute to carry or to redistribute stress concentrated locally among the load-bearing fibers. As the strain increased into the inelastic regime of the stress-strain curve, partial debondings at the interfiber crossings took place and developed into the minute cracks. The number of the damages increased drastically in the inelastic region. As the strain level approached to the failure point, the fiber breakages began to take place, and they always occurred on the thin-walled fiber aligned parallel to the direction of loading. This damage-developing process was clearly observed on the CD specimen. Furthermore, the internal structure of a sheet also changed by means of the externally applied force. The bonding-ratio (BR) of specimen strained close to the failure point was approximately 7% less than that of the unstrained specimen.These experimental evidences strongly suggest that the post-elastic region of sheet deformation is characterized by the permanent interfiber deformation, accompanying with the partial debonding between the load-bearing fibers and the matrix substances, and the breakage of fiber itself.On the contrary, compression failure is a very localized phenomenon. The appearance of the failure zone shows pronounced out-of-plane deformation such as creases of bucklings. At the failure zone, fiber debondings and fiber bucklings were prominent, but there is no evidence of such damages even at the site 2 mm apart from the crease.

Reported here are the systems and activities of "die Vogelwarten" in West Germany, visited by the author in May-June 1977. These ornithological institutes are in Helgoland, Wilhelmshaven, and Radolfzell.Bird-ringing began in Germany from 1903, using the rings of Vogelwarte Rossitten. Now, two kinds of rings are used in West Germany. One is for the northen regions and the other is for the southern. Annually, more than 370.000 (individuals of) birds are ringed by about 770 amateur ringers.At the Vogelwarte Helgoland, using the well-known Helgoland-traps and several other traps (for Doves, Crows and Sparrows), elaborate research is being carried out throughout the year.The Institute for Ornithology of Wilhelmshaven acts as one of the two bird-ringing centers in West Germany. At this institute are studied behavior of gulls and discriminating ability of Oystercatcher in laboratory.Also I visited to Vogelwarte Radolfzell, the other birdringing center. Near the Vogelwarte, thare is the Mettnau bird ringing station, which belongs to a long-term bird ringing and research program (Mettnau-Reit-Illmitz program). The aim of this program is to study not only migration but also many other items; population dynamics, biorhythmic, research for ecosystems and methodology.I would like to thank heartily Dr. G. Vauk, Dr. D. Moritz and Mr. E. Sohonart of Helgoland, Dr. W. Winkel and Mr. H. Rogall of Wilhelmshaven, Dr. G. Zink, Dr. P. Becker, Dr. J. Hölzinger and Mr. F. 長距離における高精度な真直度測定の実現を目指して、水準器を用いる方法の適用可能性を検討した。実験では、69mの測定長において、測定間隔1~2mで傾斜角を逐次測定することで、傾斜角と真直度の繰返し性として、10μrad、42μm(σ)が得られた。これらを誤差伝搬モデルに当てはめると、測定間隔を1.9m、20cmとすることで、測定長500m、10kmで、1mm(2σ)未満の繰返し性が見積もられた。

The Governor-general Makoto Saitoh enthusiastically proceeded Korea election civil right movement in 1930 which had juxtaposing relationship with those movement brought up in Irish Free State(1921). What sort of political and international surroundings were there around Governor-general Saitoh to make its decision? Why did this policy stop before the half way? I observe the reason on the ground of Shidehara & Uchida diplomacy.

For skill acquisition that needs periodic body movements as cascade juggling, the establishment of stable body movements seems crucial. We investigated them in each of the learning stages defined by the Beek and van Santvoord (1992) framework. In addition, we investigated participants' verbal reports about what was intentionally concerned for achieving optimum learning in practice. In the experiment, novices practiced three-ball cascade juggling over a period of one week. We focused on two types of stabilities: the stability of chest movement representing torso movement, and another stability of wrist movement representing arm swing. The result revealed that the skills for establishing stabilities of torso movement and arm swing were acquired sequentially. In this case, the stability of arm swing emerged between Stage 2 (by 50 successive catches) and Stage 3 (by over 100 successive catches), and another stability of torso movement emerged between Stage 3 and the expert stage in which jugglers had acquired complete skills for performing five-ball cascade juggling. The result also showed that in the establishment of stable arm swing, the development of the stability occurred only in passive catching behavior, but did not in active tossing behavior. Additionally, we found that the participants who did not develop beyond Stage 1 (by 10 successive catches) trained themselves while focusing on their specific physical movements.
