The taxonomy of Polygonatum in Japan is revised. Nine species, four nothospecies, including P. ×desoulavyi (= P. desoulavyi var. yezoense = P. miserum), P. ×domonense and P. ×azegamii (= P. desoulavyi var. azegamii), and six varieties are recognized. Desoulavy 142 is superseded by Desoulavy 143 (both in LE) as a lectotype of P. ×desoulavyi. It is presumed that P. ×desoulavyi, P. ×domonense and P. ×azegamii are hybrid derivatives between P. humile and P. involucratum, between P. involucratum and P. lasianthum, and between P. falcatum and P. involucratum, respectively. Polygonatum amabile is considered to be a species distinct from P. lasianthum, as in Yatabe's original species concept. Polygonatum trichosanthum is reduced to var. trichosanthum under P. falcatum. A key to the species, nothospecies and varieties is provided.

「智恵子抄」や「道程」という愛とヒューマニズムの詩で知られる高村光太郎は、他者との隔絶感や了解不可能性に悩み続けた詩人でもあった。本稿は、高村光太郎の内面における自己と他者の相克をたどりながら、彼の動物表象に新たな光を当てることを目指す。光太郎の作品には相容れない他者を前にして、自己をより高潔な存在として称揚しようとする傾向が度々出現する。その傾向を呼んだきっかけの一つは彼が留学中に了解不可能な他者としての西洋に直面したこと、また「孤高」の芸術家を理解しない「俗世間」との葛藤に悩まされたことである。他者の問題は智恵子との内密な結婚生活により棚上げされたが、その生活が維持できなくなった時、再び浮上した。光太郎はその際、動物を扱った詩の中で、再度、他者と自己の問題に取り組む。そこで彼は二つの姿勢を取る。一つは自己を神聖化し相容れない他者を排除する姿勢、もう一方は、自己と他者の相克の場に踏みとどまり、隔絶を見つめる姿勢である。時局が戦争へと向かうと、最終的には前者が優勢となり、彼は敵/味方の二分法に基づく戦意高揚詩を量産した。しかし後者には、他性と向き合う、もう一つの高村光太郎の可能性が存在していた。

長崎県北中山間地域である波佐見町における現地実証により耕転一鎮圧一播種方式の乾田直播の現地適用性とその補完技術を検討した。1.播種量は乾籾3,5程度でよかった。播種深度を3〜4?に設定できるため,ヒノヒカリでも極端な倒伏は認められず,本品種の乾田直播栽培の可能性が示唆された。収量性は1993年の低温及び1994年の高温下でも比較的高く,異常気象にも十分対応可能であり,この方法による乾田直播の現地適用性が認められた。2.播種時の降雨を想定し,乾田直播を補完する技術としての乳苗移植栽培は減収したものの,準備した催芽籾を無駄にすることなく,十分に補完できる技術としてその可能性が示唆された。3.漏水を考慮すれば,基肥は入水後,稲の2葉期頃に施肥することが可能で,乾田直播の現地での定着にはほ場の団地化並びに代掻を伴う移植とのローテーションが必要であるものと考えられた。

The main purpose of this paper is to criticallydiscuss and lucidly compare J. M. Keynes (1883-1946) and F. H. Knight (1886-1972), two towering figures in the history of economic thought. It is in 1921 that they both published apparently similar books on risk, probability and uncertainty. While Knight' contribution on the economics of risk and uncertainty has been well-known and very influential in the economics profession, Keynes'accomplishments on probability and uncertainty have been more or less underestimated in the dark shadow of his most famous book (1936) The General Theory of Unemployment, Interest and Money.The present paper aims to focus on an earlieryet equally important book (1921) A Treatise onProbability, hopefully shedding a new light onhis outstanding ideas and everlasting influenceson his later works including The General Theory.According to Keynes, many probabilities, which are incapable of numerical measurement, can be placed nevertheless between numerical upper and lower limits. Keynes has demonstrated whether and to what extent animal spirits contributes to the working and performance of the market economy. Remarkably, Keynes' concept of probability and uncertainty can be well-compared to Knight's distinction between a measurable risk and a non-measurable uncertainty. I believe that it is high time for us to unify Keynes and Knight into a new,comprehensive approach to very complex human behavior.

金属-酸化物界面におけるバンドオフセット(金属のフェルミレベルと酸化物の価電子帯あるいは伝導帯とのエネルギー差)は、金属と酸化物の種類のみならず、その界面を終端する元素の種類に依存すると第一原理計算で予測されている。我々は、銅-アルミナ、ニッケル-アルミナ界面において、実験的に界面終端元素の種類を変えて、そのバンドオフセットを光電子分光法により計測した。その結果を第一原理計算と比較して考察する。

The present article analyzes the impact of the recent judicial reform on the rural community of Japan. It is based on the multi-methodological study project on rural justice in contemporary Japan. The project has been financially supported by JSPS no. 15330004 and the 21st Century COE program for Kobe University.Firstly, the article reviews the major reforms in national law level. Though Japan has long been suffered from shortage of formal legal resources, the situation is rapidly changing because of the national judicial reform movement in last 10 years. The number of lawyer (bengoshi) in 2005 has increased by 50% compared with that of 1990: The Japan Federation of Practicing Attorneys (Nichibenren) has established the legal advice centers in all jurisdiction of local courts. The regulatory restrictions have been removed in such areas of advertisement and fees: The government enacted the "the comprehensive legal support act" in June 2004. However, the availability of legal services is still severely limited in small towns and cities in non-metropolitan areas.Secondly it examines the nation-wide distribution pattern and its changes, for 1998 to 2002 period, of attorneys (bengoshi) and judicial scribners (shihoshoshi) in local court jurisdictions, and it finds that the attorneys are more concentrated in largest metropolitan areas than the judicial scribners; however, the number of judicial scribners is increasing in more of the urban areas and decreasing in more of the rural areas than the attorneys.Lastly it qualitatively describes how the legal problems are resolved almost without resorting to attorneys in rural areas by reporting 4 case studies of small cities in rural areas. People in those areas usually rely on judicial scribners for legal remedies for such troubles as consumer problems, domestic violence, and debts. They also ask advices of the local police, local government's, especially the consumer protection agencies and their branches. In each of those areas, one or two active attorneys recently opened the publicly funded office of law in the community. It is also noticeable that not a small number of people hesitates to ask advice to the "foreign" attorney even in serious legal troubles.

コンビニエンス・ストア(通称「コンビニ」)における新商品の売れ行き予測に関する学術的な検討が遅れている.著者らはこれまでに,市販のPOSデータを用いて「おにぎり」と「カップラーメン」の新商品の売れ行き予測に関する予備的な検討として,特定店舗で成立する相関ルールの抽出を行なった,本稿では,店舗を問わず成立する一般的知見の導出を目指す.具体的には,コンビニ会社A社へのヒアリングを通じて,新商品投入後二週目の売れ行き予測に対するニーズがあることを述べる.そして,これを目的変数とした場合の説明変数として有効な変数を,A社の協力の下,データマイニングにより導出する,これらの説明変数と目的変数を用いて,店舗ごとにルール抽出を行なうと有効なルールが得られることが確認された.

日本の教員の学校間等異動は,教育委員会の行政=経営活動として専ら捉えられる。その眼目は,①全県的な教育水準の維持向上,②各学校の課題への対応,③個人への報奨等処遇,と理解できるが,人的な公教育資源の長期的開発という観点からする,校長に至る異動については,経験的知見をほとんど越えていない。 本稿はこうした問題設定から,事例自治体での教諭の最終年度から学校長への登用年度までの個人の軌跡を辿ることを通じて,人事行政がいかなる教育資源の「適正さ」を担保しているかについて基礎的作業を行った。その結果,自治体内のローカル・ルールの存在,とりわけ教育行政機関での勤務の点で顕著なことを見出した。今後,各学校の時期ごとのプロフィールとの対応関係のほか,他の事例での追試が課題である。Personnel placement (rotation, reshuffling, promotion) policy for Japanese teaching staff is based entirely on the premise that Board of Education administration is a managerial activity. The core ingredients of this are: 1) cross-prefectural maintenance and improvement in levels public of education; 2) an individual school approach to school subjects; and 3) while it is understandable that compensation, etc. is on a per person, individual basis, the transfer to position of Principal, viewed from long-term development of a human public education resource, it does not go beyond experiential knowledge. This study, upon laying out the issue, conducted, from local government case studies focusing on individual career promotions to Principal, a base inquiry into whether personnel administration appropriately supports all educational resources. Results reveal the existence of local rules in local area governments and striking points in the workings of the educational administrative body. Further investigation, to look into corresponding relationships with such things as individual school time scheduling profiles will follow from this work.

Die geometrische Humanfigur nach Vitruvius ("Vitruvianische Proportionsfigur") faszinierte die Kunstler der Renaissance, wie es die bertihmte Zeichnung des Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) archetypisch umsetzt. Auch Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) versuchte, die idealisierte Humanfigur im Buch II der "Vier Bucher von menschlicher Proportion" (1528) zu konstruieren. Deswegen konnen wir eine Figur homo ad quadratum sowie sieben weitere Figuren homo ad circulum finden. Doch mussten einige schwierige mathematische Probleme uberwunden werden, um die "Vitruvianische Proportionsfigur" zu konstruieren. Wie versuchte Durer diese zu losen? Der Essay betrachtet die Beziehungen zwischen Konstruktion und Methodologie des "Messstabsystems". Der Vitruvianische Kanon wurde ursprunglich als Bruch dargestellt. Durer jedoch verwendet ein Instrument, das sich auf einer anderen mathematischen Methode grundet. Eine Verwandtschaft mit der vitruvianischen Methodik besteht folglich eher fur die vorangehende geometrische Konstruktion in seinem ersten Buch. Was bedeutet es, dass Buch II trotzdessen dieses Bild enthalt? Zur Beantwortung dieses Problems sollte man davon ausgehen, dass eine praktische Notwendigkeit existierte. Dieser Aufsatz analysiert die Durerschen Methoden wie die Proportionsfiguren und argumentiert, dass gerade durch die Entstehung der exakten anthropometrischen Methode im II. Buch sich die Moglichkeit der Konstruktion eroffnete. Letztlich verweist er ebenso auf die Problematik der Quantifizierung des Weltverstandnisses in der Renaissance, die diese Methode anspricht.
