若者の喫煙,飲酒を含む薬物乱用は変化するので繰り返し調査をしてモニタリングを行うことが必要である.本研究では,日本とアジアの青少年の薬物乱用の実態を調査し,データ・アーカイブを構築した.得られた結果は以下のようである.(1) 日本の青少年の喫煙,飲酒経験は連続して低下しており,2009年の時点でのこれまで1度でも喫煙経験した者の割合は13.1%,飲酒生涯経験率は56.7%であった. (2) 何らかの違法薬物を一度でも経験した者は2009年,男子1.1%,女子で0.6%であった. (3) 日本を含むアジア諸国の青少年の違法薬物乱用経験は欧米に比べて著しく低い. (4) 日本の高校生のほとんどは,薬物乱用の危険性をよく理解し,乱用に拒否的な態度を もつ. (5) 以上をまとめデータ・アーカイブを構築するとともに,その重要性を指摘した.

We present an automated approach to relatively completely verifying safety (i.e., reachability) property of higher-order functional programs. Our contribution is two-fold. First, we extend the refinement type system framework employed in the recent work on (incomplete) automated higher-order verification by drawing on the classical work on relatively complete "Hoare logic like" program logic for higher-order procedural languages. Then, by adopting the recently proposed techniques for solving constraints over quantified first-order logic formulas, we develop an automated type inference method for the type system, thereby realizing an automated relatively complete verification of higher-order programs.

We examined the drag and thrust efficiency of two airship models with a stern propeller. There is a interaction between the airship hull and the propeller. To obtain an understanding of the interaction, we measured the form drag of the airships with and without a propeller, and calculated the propeller efficiency and the total efficiency of airships. We also compared the results for two airships. Furthermore we carried out inviscid computation for the effect of the propeller on airship efficiency. It was clarified that there are two patterns for the direct effect of the propeller on the pressure on the hull surface. One is good for the airship hull and the other is undesirable.

日本学術振興会『人文学・社会科学の国際化について』では言語の問題に多くの紙幅が割かれ、分科横断的な問題として扱われている。人文・社会科学では言語間のずれが決定的な差異を生み出しかねないので、研究成果の発信には原資料の言語を用いることが合理的だが、それと同時により幅広い層に向け最大公約数的に英語を用いてより一般的な研究成果を発信することも国際化の一端であるということから、本論文では学問の国際化が持つ重層性を指摘する。併せて論文率と外国語率を指標に、一橋大学の研究成果発信の国際化を分析する。This paper shows the possibility that the internationalization of humanities and social sciences will be developed in phases. For, there are two types of internationalization and both are equally necessary: the internationalization for experts using the same language with the primary sources in order to avoid the gap between languages, and the internationalization for less specialized readers using English as a practical lingua franca. The internationalization of publication by the faculty members of Hitotsubashi University will be analyzed by the proportion of papers/books and foreign languages/Japanese as well.

Library and information scholars have largely ignored researching, the American Library Association (ALA) Code of Ethics, especially from a critical historical perspective. However in today's digital post 9/11 environment, library ethics is even more important for library practitioners and researchers alike. This paper explores the history of the Code of Ethics which was formally adopted in December 1938 by ALA Council. In addition the author compares the Code of Ethics with the Library Bill of Rights (LBR) adopted in 1939. Although the two documents were approved only a year apart, this paper finds a major difference between the thinking behind them. In summary, we can call the LBR a forward-thinking plan for a new model of librarianship, whereas the Code of Ethics was built on an earlier model of professional expectations. Perhaps because of this frame, the 1938 Code of Ethics has been nearly forgotten compared to the attention lavished on the LBR.

1997年7月7日前後に岡山大学歯学部棟2階の事務室にダニが多数発生した。ダニは体長約1mmで全体に赤色を呈していた。形態的特徴よりハマベアナタカラダニの成虫と同定した。これらのダニは人を刺すことはなかったが, 机上, 書類, ロッカー壁, 側壁面等を這い回り不快感を与えた。1週間以内に自然消滅したが窓より侵入したものと考えられた。しかしその発生源は特定できなかった。
