In this article, an effect of ultrasound on chemical reactions is reviewed. The sonochemical reaction proceeds at a hot spot produced by cavitation of bubble, i. e., creation and collapse of a bubble in liquid. Temperature and pressure at the hot spot exceed 5000 K and 100 MPa, respectively, therefore, pyrolysis of solvent can occur. We present experimental technique and our recent results of sonochemical decomposition of organic liquids and synthesis of C60 from liquid benzene.

The aim of this study was to determine the proportion of near-miss dispensing errors in hospital pharmacies in Japan. A prospective multi-center observational study was conducted between December 2018 and March 2019. The primary objective was to determine the proportion of near-miss dispensing errors in hospital pharmacy departments. The secondary objective was to determine the predictive factors for near-miss dispensing errors using multiple logistic regression analysis. The study was approved by the ethical committee at The Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Tokyo, Japan. A multi-center prospective observational study was conducted in 20 hospitals comprising 8862 beds. Across the 20 hospitals, we assessed data from 553 pharmacists and 53039 prescriptions. A near-miss dispensing error proportion of 0.87% (n = 461) was observed in the study. We found predictive factors for dispensing errors in day-time shifts: a higher number of drugs in a prescription, higher number of quantified drugs, such as liquid or powder formula, in a prescription, and higher number of topical agents in a prescription; but we did not observe for career experience level for clinical pharmacists. For night-time and weekend shifts, we observed a negative correlation of near-miss dispensing errors with clinical pharmacist experience level. We found an overall incidence of near-miss dispensing errors of 0.87%. Predictive factors for errors in night-time and weekend shifts was inexperienced pharmacists. We recommended that pharmacy managers should consider education or improved work flow to avoid near-miss dispensing errors by younger pharmacists, especially those working night or weekend shifts.

The roll motion of the vehicle has an effect on the yaw natural frequency. Because the yaw natural frequency formula considering this effect is the solution to a quartic equation, the expression of the formula is thought to be complex and incomprehensible. Accordingly, a seemingly comprehensible approximate formula was suggested in the former paper. In this approximation process, it was assumed that the cornering forces of the front and rear wheels are generated simultaneously. On the other hand, a later report have indicated that the yaw resonance when the vehicle drives at a certain speed has a cornering forces phase difference of 90 degrees between the front and rear wheels. Therefore this paper formulates the yaw natural frequency and yaw damping ratio assuming the phase difference to be 90 degrees. As results of that, qualitatively, the design variables that dominate the characteristic equation are appropriately included in the yaw natural frequency and yaw damping ratio formulas, and quantitatively, the approximation error is reduced. Consequently, these formulas are believed to be more appropriate than the previously proposed formulas. These formulas indicate that, when the load distribution ratio of the front wheels becomes larger, the yaw natural frequency decreases and the yaw damping ratio increases. In addition, this paper also indicates the scope of these approximate formulas quantitatively.

平面運動では,車両が強いUS特性を示すほど,運動は振動的になるが発散する条件は存在しない.しかし,車体のロールを考慮し,ある程度以上にUS化するようなロールステアを取入れた場合,車両の運動は,ある速度で振動的に発散する性質がある事を報告する.また,ロールステア係数と走行速度の安定限界を解析的に示す.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between victory or defeat of the Judo contest (3,299 match, team game of university students were held from May,1970 to June,1974) and grade (Dan), height, weight and Rohrer's index. On the same time, the authors analyzed the details of the contest too.The results may be summarized as follows:1. The contests decided victory or defeat showed 63%, the residual game 37%ended in a draw. The percentage of a drawn game was ascending with increasing the tournament scale.2. The decided performance elicited the greatest percentage in UCHIMATA, followed in order by OSOTO-GARI, SEOI-NAGE, HARAI-GOSHI, KAMISHIHO-GATAME and YOKOSHIHOGATAME.3. According the difference increasing of grade, height, weight and Rohrer's index, the standings by win percentage of dominant Judoists was ascending, the drawn game decreased further.4. It is satisfactory to the weight difference set up about 10 kg from the above mentioned results.

Electrical power generation devices that use lead zirconate titanate piezoelectric (PZT) elements have been developed to convert structural vibration energy into electrical energy. We have reported the effects of vibration loads on the power-generation characteristics of a PZT element doped with niobium (Nb), and have proposed the use of laminated PZT elements to significantly improve the power-generation characteristics of PZT elements. In this study, we have made three-layer, five-layer and seven-layer PZT elements. In the experimental study, the effects of the number of layers of the laminated PZT element, the loads and frequencies of the powergeneration characteristics of the laminated PZT element are evaluated by vibration tests. The results indicated that the maximum electric power of a seven-layer PZT test piece in this study was around 3.8 mW and yielded about 23 times more power than a single-layers PZT element. Their results shows the generation characteristics were improved by laminated PZT elements when the number of folds was increased.

1) ウンカ・ヨコバイ類,トビイロウンカ,ヒメトビウンカ,ツマグロヨコバイ,およびイナヅマヨコバイ,が摂食時口針を植物組織中に挿入しつつ分泌する口針鞘物質の唾腺での産生組織,およびその物質が分泌された後凝固し口針鞘を形成する機構について,唾腺分泌物の組織化学的分析結果にもとづき検討した。2) 口針鞘物質の主成分はウンカでは唾腺A組織,またヨコバイでは唾腺IV組織から分泌される蛋白性物質であり,その他に前者ではG・H組織,後者ではV組織に由来するリポイド性物質の一部分が凝固反応時混入する。このリポイド性物質の本来の役割は口針鞘物質が急速に凝固する際,口針に固着することを防止することであると考えられた。3) 口針鞘物質の凝固硬化はキノンタンニング様反応によって促進される。ウンカの場合は唾腺E組織に存在するポリフェノール酸化酵素によって生産されるキノン物質が,またヨコバイの場合は唾腺IV組織から蛋白性物質と共に分泌されるポリフェノール化合物が,V組織から口針外へ直接分泌されるポリフェノール酸化酵素によって酸化され生じるキノン物質が,蛋白性物質と反応し凝固させると考えられた。また唾腺の分泌管内あるいは小腮刺針の唾液溝内で口針鞘物質の凝固反応が起ることを防止するために,口針鞘形成に際してまず蛋白性物質が分泌され,その後からキノン物質またはポリフェノール酸化酵素が分泌されていることが暗示された。4) 口針鞘物質の主成分である蛋白性物質が遊離SH基を有することを示す組織化学反応は得られず,SH基の自動酸化の結果生じる蛋白分子間のジサルファイド結合によって口針鞘物質が凝固するという可能性は否定的であった。5) 口針鞘は下唇溝の延長として植物組織内で大小腮刺針を結束するとともに,大腮刺針に支持点を与え,小腮刺針を能率的に前進させる機能を有すると考えられた。
