<p>古代ギリシアの時代から現代まで,「存在」という問題は対象が認識できるか否かに関わらず哲学の根本概念であり主題であり続けている。紙という日常的かつ即物的な対象を敢えて「存在」という視点から捉えると何が見えてくるのだろうか。直立二足歩行という動物として優位な特性をもつ人類は道具を生み出し,紙を発明し,機能別に分化させ現代に至っているが,この過程を「存在と生成」という思考の枠組みから捉えてみた。</p><p>現代哲学は多様だが,戦後フランスの実存主義,構造主義,ポスト構造主義という変遷の文脈の中で紙という存在を解釈してみたが,サルトルのアンガジュマン(engagement)は実存である人間が対象である紙に働きかけることにより紙を進化させ,また存在理由をraison d'être(レゾンデートル)と表現している。ポスト構造主義のレジス・ドブレによるメディオロジーでは思考の対象に紙を取り上げ,「紙の力」(Pouvoirs du Papier)として,記号としての文字を支える紙の支持体としての役割を強調し,伝達における歴史性・文化性の維持の重要性を強調し,暗にデジタルを批判しているとも解釈できる。</p><p>デジタルが優勢な世界でも記憶を基盤とする知的形成,初等教育,文化の形成には親和性と感情価の高い紙というメディアは今後も不可欠である。紙と印刷の世界へのコンピュータの登場は近代への決別というポストモダン的な捉え方があるが,21世紀になり現代哲学の地殻変動の中から新たな思考の枠組みで「モノの知」を探ろうという動きがあり,新たな紙の捉え方が生まれる可能性がある。</p>

The larvae of Mamestra (Barathra) brassicae (L.) were reared from hatching to pupation under solitary and crowded (10 individuals in a vial) conditions at a constant temperature of 25℃ in darkness on young leaves of the rape, Brassica napus L. Observations were made on the amount of food consumed by the larvae, the body weight of larvae and resulted pupae, and the dry weight of excreta of the 4th, 5th and 6th (final) instar larvae. The results of the observations are summarized in Table 1. Comparing with the solitary larvae, the crowded larvae consumed a larger amount of food in the 1st and 2nd instars, but less in the 4th and 5th instars. In the 3rd and 6th instars, no remarkable differences in the food consumption were observed between the solitary and crowded larvae. The total amount of food consumed in the larval stage was about equal in both densities of rearing. The crowded insects were heavier in body weight in the 1st and 2nd instars than the solitary ones, but the reversed trends were observed in the remaining instars and also in the pupal stage. The smaller ratio of the body weight to the amount of food consumed was obtained in the crowded culture in all, but the 4th instar. The dry weight of the excreta was about equal in both the solitary and crowded larvae. However, the ratio of that to the amount of food consumed was slightly smaller in the crowded larvae than in the solitary ones.

This study discusses the analysis method for obtaining solutions that allow de-escalation in international conflicts within the framework of the Graph Model for Conflict Resolution. CD games, a conflict type in which two decision-makers can choose Cooperate (C) or Defect (D) strategies, are analyzed by examining the state transition and stability of decision makers with a focus on reachability. Based on the analysis, a new conceptual set is proposed, called `de-escalation reachability,' which enables focused analysis on the conflict states while avoiding any influence of arbitrators' attributes.

日本キリスト教婦人矯風会(以下、矯風会と略記する)は、近代日本における廃娼運動を担った女性団体である。矯風会は1893年に全国的な組織となり、支部の新設や会員の増加に力をいれる一方、地域の女性団体との連帯を模索していく。矯風会は当時において、女性ネットワーク運動の先駆的なものであったといえる。さらに1923年の関東大震災に際しては、女性団体を糾合し震災救援活動を行い、東京婦人連合会の結成に至るまで、中枢的な役割を果たしていくことになる。また、焼失した遊廓の再建に反対する運動を繰り広げるとともに、東京連合婦人会の研究部を母体とする公娼廃止期成同盟会を組織し、多様な活動家や参加者を吸収しながら、廃娼運動の全国的な展開を図ったのである。かくして、廃娼をめぐる世論が急速に高まり、その反響は国内にとどまらず、朝鮮にも波及していくことになる。日本の廃娼運動記事や廃娼論が朝鮮の日刊紙やキリスト教関連新聞・雑誌に取り上げられ報道されるとともに、芽生えつつあった朝鮮の廃娼運動を刺することになったのである。本稿は、矯風会の機関誌『婦人新報』を主な資料として実証を行うと同時に、従来研究においてほとんど使用されていなかった『婦人公論』『婦女世界』や朝鮮で発行された『毎日申報』『基督新報』などの新聞・雑誌をも参考資料として扱い、関東大震災直後、女性間に活発化していったネットワークを背景にして、社会運動かつ政治運動へと発展していく廃娼運動に着目し、その展開過程で見られる廃娼運動に対する反応や世論、そしてその反響を検討したものである。

To appropriately understand and operationalize the concept of “personalist rule,” this article separates the institutional arrangements of the (de)centralization of executive power into three components: the organizational foundation of the ruling elites, executive-legislative relations, and constitutional authority and partisan power. This article is divided into four sections. First, it indicates that previous studies on “personalist rule” have focused on its two primary features: the long-standing rule and centralization of executive power. Second, based on the above three aspects of the (de)centralization of executive power, it explores the institutional arrangements of the Egyptian third republic, which was established in the 2014 constitution and reformed in 2019 to coexist with the second chamber, the vice presidency, and presidential term limits under semi-presidentialism. Third, it discusses the institutional implications of extensive constitutional reform and suggests that the introduction of the vice presidency and second chamber, with the simultaneous relaxation of presidential term limits, can give an impression of strengthening the decentralization of executive power when in fact weakening it. Finally, it concludes that such an argument contributes to broadening the institutionalist perspective on authoritarian regimes and constructing a measurable and reproducible indicator of “personalist rule.”

本研究では自殺関連語を検索する者の援助要請行動を促しやすいインターネット広告の内容を検討した。広告は基本的内容に加えて、見出しに直接的メッセージ(相談してください)か共感的メッセージ(つらかったですね)のどちらかを含め、説明文に相談手段と支援者情報を組み合わせて8種類を作成した。6種類の自殺関連語を検索した結果として広告一つがランダムに表示されるようにGoogle広告を設定した。広告のリンク先ページからボタンをクリックすると電話相談窓口へ発信することができた。ボタンクリックの有無を従属変数、広告の要素を独立変数としたロジスティック回帰分析を行った結果、見出しは共感的メッセージよりも直接的メッセージの方が約1.6 倍、見出しが共感的メッセージの場合には相談手段を説明に含んだ方が約1.2 倍、ボタンクリックの割合が高くなった。すなわち、自殺の相談を促す広告には直接的メッセージと相談手段を含むことが望ましい。

郵政省管轄の特殊法人,簡易保険福祉事業団が建設した健康増進施設。同事業団がこれまで全国に建設してきた「かんぽの宿」の都市型新タイプだ。オープンは今年9月の予定だが,工事はほぼ終わっている。 建物の規模は地上16階,延べ3万5425m2と,新都心のなかではさほど大きくはない。

We systematically discuss frictional properties occurring in atomic-force microscope (AFM) tip on graphite system, the graphite/C60/graphite system, and the C60 intercalated graphite system. Several possible mechanism to induced superlubricity of C60 intercalated graphite system are proposed and discussed. It can be expected that the superlubricity is induced by internal sliding between close-packed C60 monolayers and graphite layers. Our results propose one of the simple guidelines of designing practical superlubric system—reduction of the contact area between intercalated C60 and graphite sheet to the point-like contact. We anticipate our novel lubrication system to be a startpoint for developing more practical superlubricant using intercalated graphite, which will contribute to solving the energy and environmental problems.
