化学農薬を使用しない水稲の種子温湯消毒法は,クリーンな技術として注目され,「60℃で10分間」という処理条件が広く普及している.しかし,この条件では完全に防除できない病害もある.したがって,この消毒法を安定した技術とするためには,多くの品種に高温耐性を付与し,より厳しい条件で処理できるようにすることが重要である.温湯消毒時の種籾の高温耐性には明らかな品種間差があり,この形質は育種学的な手法で改善できる可能性がある.例えば,日本型品種の「ひとめぼれ」の種籾は強い高温耐性を有することが示されている.一方で,インド型品種や糯米品種は一般に種籾の高温耐性が弱く温湯消毒に適さないことも報告されている.これらのことを踏まえて本研究では,「ひとめぼれ」のような有用な遺伝資源となりうる品種を見出すことを目的に,農業生物資源ジーンバンクが確立した「世界のイネコアコレクション」の種籾の温湯消毒時の高温耐性を評価した.その結果,日本型品種の「Rexmont」と「Tupa 729」,インド型品種の「Badari Dhan」の3品種の種籾が,極めて強い高温耐性を有していることが明らかになった.さらに,「Badari Dhan」以外のインド型品種や,糯米品種の中にも「ひとめぼれ」と同等,あるいはそれ以上の高温耐性を示す種籾が存在することが明らかとなり,温湯消毒時の高温耐性に関して有用な遺伝資源となり得る複数の品種を特定することができた.

筆者らは,既に人工脂質膜を用いたマルチチャネルの味覚センサの特性が,人間の味覚特性と非常に類似していることを示した.本論文では,計測方法の改良を行うことで,センサの再現性をより高め,微妙な味の差の識別を可能とし,工業的な味の計測の実用化を計ることを目的とする.改良点は,以下のとおりである,第1は,絶対値測定から,センサにあらかじめ味のバイアスをかけた相対値測定にした点である.これにより,センサのトランスデューサ部は被検液に侵されにくくなり,繰返し使用が可能となった.第2は,センサに一定周期で外乱を与え,これに同期させて計測を行う点である.これにより,センサ出力が安定するまでの待ち時間が大幅に短縮でき,また,外乱による影響を受けなくなった.これらの結果,測定の再現性を飛躍的に向上させることに成功し,人間以上の詳細な味の識別が可能となった.そして,相対値測定の際のバイアスの変動や,測定時間の長さに測定結果が依存しないことを実験的に示し,これらの改良の妥当性を示す.更に実際の食品への適用例を挙げ,その有効性を示す.

Building information modeling (BIM) is an important technology in the design and construction of buildings. BIM is also used in the construction of building equipment. In recent years, construction companies have been promoting the introduction of BIM. Typically, the technologies of building construction are introduced for each department. However, BIM has been promoting technology introduction beyond departments and companies. Therefore, we analyzed the process of introducing BIM in construction companies. We also analyzed the proportion of companies that introduced BIM, process of technology introduction, and the organizational form of the construction companies. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of construction companies about BIM. Based on the questionnaire results, we performed an analysis of corporate organization as follows. 1. Analyze the relationship between the respondents of a department and technician experts by cross tabulation. 2. Classify respondents by factor analysis. 3. Discuss the motivation behind introducing BIM by covariance structure analysis. The percentage of companies that have used BIM in their construction projects was approximately 32%. Moreover, 40% of the survey respondents collect BIM information. More than 50% of the respondents think that construction work using BIM is more efficient than the traditional construction work. These results mean that BIM entered a stage of popularity. On the other hand, the percentage of engineers that manipulate 3D-CAD or BIM is only approximately 23%. The occupation of the highest percentage of 3D-CAD users is construction engineers of building equipment. Architects are also a high percentage of 3D-CAD users. Then, we created a contingency table (Table 4) for the relationship between the current department and the specialized field of survey respondents. All personnel who belong to the building construction department are part of the specialized field of building construction. On the other hand, 22% of the personnel who belong to the architectural design department are part of a different specialized field of architectural design. Next, we performed an exploratory factor analysis on the questionnaire results. Maximum likelihood estimation with a promax rotation of 32 Likert scale questions was conducted on data gathered from 212 participants. The results of the promax rotation of the solution are listed in Table 8. When loadings less than 0.35 were excluded, the analysis yielded a seven-factor solution. The seven factors were labeled as follows: "Expectations of BIM (Factor 1)", "The degree of information gathering about BIM (Factor 2)", "The need for the introduction of front-loading (Factor 3)", "IT skill levels of the respondents (Factor 4)", “Adequacy of information equipment in the belonging company (Factor 5)”, “Growth potential of the construction industry (Factor 6)”, and “Dissatisfaction with the current construction technology (Factor 7).” Moreover, we performed a hierarchical cluster analysis by selecting three factors—Factor 2, Factor 4, and Factor 6. As a result, we classified four respondent groups. In addition, we analyzed of the motivation behind the introduction of BIM by structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of SEM analysis are shown in Fig. 12. SEM supposes that motivations behind introducing BIM are to improve productivity of the construction work.

It is often said that Shakespeare's works contain many contradictions and I cite as an example Witches' words in Macbeth; Fair is foul and foul is fair. Many scholars has discussed what this phrase means for a long time, and this question doesn't reach one answer but it allows us to interpret in some ways, which usually happens in Shakespeare's works. Sonnets has also many contradictions. In this paper I pick up Sonnets 127 and 130 to see the contradictions.Sonnets 127 and 130 belong to a series of sonnets the poet composes for a lady and she is known as Dark Lady. Her complexion being dark and her hair being black, Dark Lady stands far from the beauty of those days, whose hair is blonde and complexion is fair. Despite of her being opposite from general beauty or because of her being so, the poet praises the lady in his sonnets. The lady is regarded as foul not fair but she is transferred to fair by means of the poet's skills. I try to explain how the poet succeeds the transference of the lady, taking up three points; logic, ambiguity, and psychoanalysis.The poet enumerates the lady's faulty points by making contrast to the conventional poetic skill, that is hyperbole. The more he writes the lady' s lack of the conventional attributes, the more the lady seems beautiful. This is the poet's logic. As for ambiguity, I pay attention to the word “damasked roses” in Sonnet 130. Damasked rose is often used as a hyperbole which expresses females' cheeks, but ‘damasked roses’ can make readers imagine females' cheeks with cosmetics. Then when the poet says the lady' s cheeks are nothing like ‘damasked roses, ’ he gives evidence of the lady's being natural without cosmetics while the other ladies insult Nature using cosmetics, and again the lady comes from foul to fair. To examine the sonnets psychoanalytically, I refer to and quote from Freud's ‘Repression’ and ‘Negation.’ Sonnet 130 is a kind of negation of the lady' s beauty though the couplet says the lady is beautiful. Behind the negation there must be the poet's real love. I think sonnet 130 contains the poet' s double negation. One is his performance as a poetic skill and the other is the poet's real negation, from which we can inspect the mechanism of his unconsciousness. He loves the lady but this love is accompanied with discomfort, because nobody can sympathize with his love to her. In order to avoid discomfort, the poet pushes his love from consciousness to unconsciousness. In this process the negation appears in front of us as a kind of the repression. I examining sonnets 127 and 130 psychoanalytically, some hints show up which lead us to understand the existence of the two lovers, the lady and the youth at the same time in the latter part of Sonnets.

Recently, regeneration medicine has received considerable attention in various fields and clinical applications have been attempted. There are approaches to regeneration medicine. The first approach is to transplant cells, especially various kinds of stem cells into the organs and tissues. The other approach is to promote the self-regenerative ability of cells. In many cases, however, cellular self-regenerative ability is limited. Growth factors are thought to play an important role in cellular proliferation, differentiation and regeneration, while the loss of growth factors contritutes to various diseases. In this report, the discovery of growth factors, examples of various growth factors and the application of growth factors to regeneration medicine are discussed.

Cerebral small vessels have a pivotal role in maintaining exchange of energy and metabolites in the brain. Hypertension and amyloid β deposition may affect these small vessels, resulting in hypertensive small vessel disease and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), respectively, and are collectively related to the pathogenesis of microvascular lesions and dementing illness. This review focuses on the significance of cerebral microvascular lesions in cognitive impairment, and further, the relationship between cerebral microcirculation disturbance and perturbation of amyloid β clearance in Alzheimer's disease.

さきごろから,新社会資本という言葉が使われ始めた。ケインズ理論は新しい形で生きている。新公共投資による新社会資本という形で生きている。ところで,チャーチルとヒトラーの経済政策を比較すると,チャーチルはボールドウィン内閣のとき大蔵大臣で,金本位制に英国を復帰させて,石炭労働者のストを招き,失敗した。ヒトラーは,総統になるや否や,アウトバーン(高速度道路)をドイツに縦横に張りめぐらし,ドイツ国民に安い値段で自動車を提供しようとフェルディナンド・ポルシェに依頼してフォルクスワーゲン(国民大衆車)を開発させ,ケインズ理論を先取りして大成功した。消費は,所得だけでなく,その個人と社会の置かれている文化-精神生活-によって決定される。慶応義塾大学の村田昭治教授によれば,マーケティングは「生活の質」で決定される。新公共投資における新社会資本とは,光ファイバーによる通信網,インターネット,移動体通信/モバイル・コンピューティング,新形パソコンその他といわれている。われわれは,マーク・ポラートのいう第2次情報産業(特にますます高度化し,広域化し,多機能化するLANとWANの設計・運用・保守)を含めて,後期のインフラストラクチュアを主体にした,新社会資本のありかたを模索し,そして新社会資本が国民に与える「生活の質」を究明し検討して,現在,悪の代表といわれるヒトラーにまけないように,鋭敏な感覚によって新社会資本の設備投資により,日本経済・世界経済を再生しなくてはならない。
