【目的】食事は健康維持に重要な役割を持つが、加齢に伴い咀嚼機能が低下し、高齢者では摂取する食品が制限される。そのため、施設や病院などでは咀嚼・嚥下困難者に対して、個々の状態に応じた食事を提供する必要がある。本研究では、高齢者の食事の実態を知るため、施設高齢者の料理の嗜好と咀嚼力、食事のテクスチャーとの関連について調べた。<BR>【方法】平成22年5~7月に新潟県内の高齢者施設(ケアハウス)2施設に入居しており、身体的に自立している高齢者を対象とした。事前に研究目的・内容を説明し、同意が得られた41名(K施設23名、N施設18名)に対し、一般的な料理および施設で提供されている料理の嗜好度、食べられない食事とその理由、歯の残存数について聞き取り調査をした。また、施設で提供している食事のテクスチャーおよび残食の有無について調査した。<BR>【結果】普段食べている食事について、普通に食べられると答えた者(普通群)は30名、軟らかくしてあれば食べられると答えた者(低咀嚼群)は11名であった。平均残存歯数は、普通群12.7本、低咀嚼群3.0本であった。一般的な料理では、タコの刺身やステーキなどが硬いという理由から全体的に嗜好度が低く、低咀嚼群は普通群に比べ、肉料理の嗜好度が低かった。一方、施設で提供している料理では、比較的硬いものでも嗜好度が高い料理があり、硬さと嗜好度や残食率との間に関連は見られなかった。この理由として、今回調査した施設で提供している料理の硬さはほとんどユニバーサルデザインフードの区分1(5×10<SUP>5</SUP> N/m<SUP>2</SUP>)以下であり、一般的な料理よりも軟らかく調理してあったことに加え、対象者が比較的咀嚼能力が高かったことが考えられる。

It is said that motivation can be enhanced through satisfaction of the basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness, as proposed by Deci and Ryan (1985, 2002). This study introduced three motivational strategies suggested by Dornyei (2001) to satisfy students' basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness: handing over various teaching roles and functions to learners, providing learners with multiple opportunities for success, and working together to meet a common goal. The participants were 31 second-year university students at a private college. In all, 15 lessons were conducted during three months. The participants, who had been divided into several groups, created a quiz based on the Wizard of Oz. They later gave a lesson using the quiz which they created. The research was conducted by analyzing the students' responses to questionnaires. Results show that creating a quiz based on the Wizard of Oz was enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding for the participating students. Moreover, the English lessons using the Wizard of Oz were enjoyable, challenging, confidence-building, and otherwise rewarding for them. Results of this study revealed that students learned English more positively and were satisfied with lessons using the Wizard of Oz by giving students positions of higher responsibility.

本研究では, 造園家・椎原兵市が遺した図面を資料として, 戦前期の日本における造園設計の業務過程において平面図に与えられた意味と役割を検証した。23葉の図面を用いた分析を通じて,(1) 設計者としてデザインスタディを行うための媒体,(2) 即物的な情報を正確に他者へ伝えるための手段,(3) 設計者の内的な思考, 検討の過程とその結果を記録し確認するためのツール, としての平面図の意味と役割が確認された。また, 業務範囲が拡大し, 多様な設計プログラムへの対応が求められるようになるとともに, 平面図に盛り込まれる情報が増加し, 発注者や協働者, 施工者とのコミュニケ可ション媒体としての機能が高まっていった。

In this study, the applicability of cumulative damage law for carbon steel, STS410, was investigated. In addition, prediction method of low cycle fatigue life based on small crack growth was researched. First, low cycle fatigue tests under two step variable loading condition were performed for STS410. Variation of cumulative damage UF at failure fell within general variation range, 0.7 to 1.4. The relationship between crack length and UF was corresponded under different conditions. Crack distribution was also corresponded under different strain range conditions. Therefore, cumulative damage law is available to evaluate the fatigue life of STS410. Next, crack initiation, growth and coalescence behavior of STS410 were modeled, and Monte Carlo simulation was carried out. Fatigue life and crack growth of simulation under strain range constant condition were similar to those of experimental results. In the case of two step loading simulation, simulation results show that UF at failure fell within variation range of strain range constant simulation. These results corresponded to experimental results. Crack length and distribution of simulation also corresponded to those of experiment. Therefore, good agreement can be seen in experiment and simulation, so low cycle fatigue lives of strain range constant and variable loading condition are able to be predicted using present model.

A case of actinomycosis originating in the parotid gland is reported. A 66-year-old woman had complained of a hard mass in the right parotid area. Sialography and CT scan showed a tumor-like lesion in the right parotid gland. The patient was treated with subtotal parotidectomy and penicillin administration. Histological examination showed typical actinomycosis. In this case, infections may be caused by actinomyces carried through Stenon's duct.

本研究はメラトニンが象牙質の組成や組織構造に及ぼす影響を分析学的及び組織学的に解析することを目的とした.本研究は出生後5日,6日,7日令のSDラットを用いた.メラトニン投与群では象牙前質に石灰化球が多く見られ,投与濃度上昇につれ象牙前質中の石灰化球数は増加し,大きさも大きくなった.ALP染色は対照群と比べて高濃度群により強い青紫色のALP発現が見られ,メラトニン投与濃度が上昇するにしたがって,象牙芽細胞のALP発現が強くなった.SEM-EDS分析,EPMA分析では,昼間,夜間試料共に投与群でCa及びPが多く含有していた.顕微レーザーラマン分光分析は,PO43-ピークが高濃度群でピークが高く,半価幅も狭まり,メラトニン投与によって,PO43-の分子配向性,アパタイト結晶性が良好となった事が判明した.メラトニンは象牙質の組織形成を促進し,石灰化を亢進し,象牙質の石灰化に影響を及ぼすと考察される.

長網抄紙機のワイヤーハ゜ートにおいて,ヘット゛ホ゛ックスからワイヤー上へ噴出されるハ゜ルフ゜原料の表面速度の変化状態を,特殊な走行装置と,非接触式のレーサ゛ー速度計を用いて測定した結果について,そして,最終的に出来上ってきた紙匹のハ゜ルフ゜繊維の配向性について調べた結果について述べる.さらに,分子動力学法を利用して,原料中のハ゜ルフ゜繊維のタ゛イナミクス(動き)を簡単な物理モテ゛ルで模擬できるよう工夫し,ワイヤー上の剪断流れを仮定した流れ場の中でのハ゜ルフ゜繊維のタ゛イナミクスと紙の繊維配向度との関係について考察した結果についても述べる.
