This paper was written by Mayuko IWATA as a Senior Thesis at the Faculty of Policy Sciences, TOKUSHIMA BUNRI University, and corrected by Professor Toyota MATSUMURA. Policy Sciences consists by many parts of knowledge (ex. economics, jurisprudence, politics, information technology and administration) and this paper cavers one area of study of the Policy Sciences Faculty. This paper consists of five parts. First, we insist "Manga" is culture. We point out the meaning of culture is ambiguous, the difference of Manga and picture. Second, we describe the problem when Manga is put in a library or museum. Third, we describe that the act by KYOTO Manga museum and the concept of National Museum of Media Arts, interest about Manga is rising worldwide. We insist that the Japanese public sector had better work harder to spread Manga. culture. Next, we propose that the original picture of Manga should be kept as electrical datum. In the conclusion, we hope the people's understanding about Manga will change because people are independent actors for Manga culture.

Gay identity and gay community are both central topics in gay studies and queer studies. However, the relationship between them remains unquestioned. This paper reveals how the relationship between gay identity and gay community has been shifted from the 90's to the present based on an analysis of discourses on coming-out.<br>Coming-out in the 90's included three important elements: aspiration for making a good relationship, high self-reflexivity and entry into the gay community. However, the latter two elements have disappeared and the meaning of coming-out has shifted. This shift demonstrates that the relationship between gay identity and gay community has become more and more irrelevant and independent.

本論は,筆者らが継続的に行ってきたLRT(Light Rail Transit)整備に関わる各国の財源制度と個々の都市特性との関連で,整備手法や整備効果がどのように異なっているかについての体系的な現地調査の一連の流れの中にある。すなわち,LRT整備財源制度の把握を行い,都市特性に特徴があると考えられるスペイン3都市,フランス3都市の現地調査と交通政策担当者に対するヒアリングに基づいて,各都市の特性に応じたLRT整備計画の狙い,社会的合意形成プロセス,整備効果,LRT関連施設のデザイン決定プロセス等に関する情報収集を目的として実施したものである。

日本の地方自治制度の枠組みが構築されるとともに,「自治体紋章」という新しいグラフィックデザインのジャンルが誕生したのが明治時代である。本研究では,明治期から昭和期における日本の自治体紋章を,三つの期間に区分し,その変遷を造形的観点から捉え,考察を加えた。特に,仮名や漢字をモチーフに,文字を構成要素とする「文字型」図案をその対象とし,各時代の特徴的な造形方法を抽出した。第Ⅰ期(1889-1914)は自治体紋章の黎明期,第Ⅱ期(1915−1945)は都市における紋章の概念が浸透し,その様式が確立されていく時代であった。第Ⅲ期(1946−1992)では,昭和の大合併と相俟って,全国規模で大量の紋章制定が進められた結果,造形表現が定型化し,画一的なデザインが誕生することとなった。そうした自治体紋章図案の変遷を体系的にまとめた結果,紋章図案の骨格を担う造形モチーフが,時代とともに移り変わってきたことを確認した。各時代の「型」が存在し,自治体紋章は,時代性を備えたシンボルマークであったといえる。

単粒子解析は, 単離されたタンパク質などの生体高分子を電子顕微鏡で直接観察し, 3次元像再構成によって立体構造の解析を行う手法である. 膜タンパク質などの結晶化が困難なタンパク質の構造解析だけでなく, 構造変化や分子集合体の構造研究に活用されている. ここでは, 計算機による画像処理を駆使した手法について解説し, 最近の構造解析の紹介と, 解析における課題について議論する.

本研究の目的は,協同制作を課題とした大学生向けのワークショップにおいて,創発的コラボレーションを促すためのプログラムデザインの指針を示すことである.本研究では,創発の源泉としての「矛盾」の効果に着目し,「作品の制作課題に,相反するイメージを持ちながら多様な解釈の可能性を持った2つの条件を設定する」というデザイン原則を仮説として設定した.デザイン原則に基づく実践を4回(全15グループ),比較対象としてデザイン原則に基づかない実践を4回(全11グループ)行い,各グループの制作プロセスを質的に分析した.その結果,デザイン原則に基づく実践においては,制作中に提案されたアイデアや制作物に対する視点に揺さぶりがかかり,創発的コラボレーションが促されることがわかった.ただし,参加者が設定した2条件を「相反するもの」として解釈しなかった場合は,視点の揺さぶりがかからないために創発的コラボレーションは起こりにくいことがわかった.その点に留意すれば,本研究で提案したデザイン原則は有効であることが示された.

French music historiography after the Franco-Prussian War evolved in terms of redefining cultural identity. This study attempts to provide a better understanding of one of the modes of writing music historiography in 1910s France, through analysis of the narrative of progress adopted in Jules Combarieu's Histoire de la musique des origines a nos jours (1913-1919). Combarieu, a republican, presented in his Histoire de la musique the historical development of music in the 19^<th>-century France as a process of progress and a series of emancipations: from the Church during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and from the court through the French Revolution. He described the progress of the genres of symphony and opera as a phenomenon that occurred mainly in France, assigning a significant role to Berlioz. Consequently, Combarieu's narrative places France on the central stage of the European music history while including German canonic composers. In his historical account, however, Combarieu devoted more space to Beethoven and Wagner than Berlioz. The reason behind this is the collision between the musical taste of the author, a former enthusiastic Wagnerian, and the German music reception in France during World War I. In fact, Berlioz's music was expected to contradict Wagnerism since the 1880s. With its academic justification for assigning Berlioz an important historical position, Combarieu's history of music contributed greatly to Berlioz's canonization that began after the Franco-Prussian War. The narrative of progress presented in Histoire de la musique that depicts Berlioz as a musical symbol of the French Republic and simultaneously gives an ambivalent evaluation of Wagner reflects an historical phase of music historiography after five decades of its existence, which evolved in relation with identity politics in France since 1870.

In June 2009, Japan's anti-piracy law was passed and declared, while the sabotage against Japanese research whaling vessels by Sea Shepherd continued in the Antarctic Ocean. The aim of this paper is to determine whether the sabotage is piracy or not according to the definition of piracy of Japan's anti-piracy law and that of UNCLOS, and to determine the boundaries of piracy.
