In the previous article (Kosaki, Shi, Matsui, Shimbo, & Fujimaki, 2015) we reviewed studies regarding how animals represent temporal information in classical conditioning. In this article, we first review various issues pertaining to interval timing in operant conditioning, with the main goal of providing a concise summary of procedural and theoretical developments in interval timing research. In the remainder of the article, we will review recent empirical findings and theories about the neural substrates underlying timing mechanisms both in classical and operant conditioning, and discuss how the hippocampus and striatum might contribute to different aspects of temporal information processing during conditioning. We then argue that the potentially different timing mechanisms implemented by the hippocampus and the striatum, as evidenced by the recent discovery of time cells in the hippocampus and consistent findings regarding involvement of the striatum in interval timing, might each be considered to constitute a part of functionally dissociable multiple memory systems that have been described elsewhere in the literature, particularly in the context of spatial learning and the organisation of voluntary behaviour.

本研究の目的は,アーティスト間の影響関係に基づき,ロックミュージックで重要な役割を果たしたアーティスト達を明らかにすることである.アーティスト間の影響関係 (影響を受けた・与えた) が,ロックミュージックの発展の重要な要素であると考えられる.音楽批評サイト等から,ロックおよびポップスに含まれるアーティスト間の影響関係を網羅的に収集し,アーティスト間の影響関係ネットワークを構築した.このネットワークを対象に,独自に考案した影響力の伝搬の定量的指標を用いて,影響力の大きなアーティスト群を抽出した.

後期水戸学、会沢正志斎の思想との関連、横井小楠との相違から吉田松陰の独自の行動原理を解明した。解収集した史料分析を行い、吉田松陰が征韓論を形成するに至る経過を考察した。この成果は、成均館大学校におけるシンポジウムで報告を行い、「横井小楠と吉田松陰」(趙景達他編『東アジアの知識人』1、有志舎、2013年)としてまとめた。一九世紀、ペリー来航によって形成された危機意識は、富国強兵の論理へと行き着いたことの意味とその後の影響について考察した。征韓論に関わる対馬藩の動向に関しては、史料収集を行ったが、成果の公表には至っていない。今後はこの問題を解決したい。

本研究は、従来、制作者達のセンスや経験に基づいて制作されていた萌えキャラクタ(萌えキャラ)の顔および声のデザインとその知覚印象との関係について知覚実験によって明らかにすることで、萌えキャラ制作のための科学的設計指針を得ることを目的としたものである。実験の結果、萌えキャラの顔は、美人キャラに比べて、丸顔で目が大きく開いていることが定量的に示された。また、萌えキャラの声は、基本周波数、スペクトル重心が高く、話速が速いことが明らかになった。これらは、未成熟な女性を示唆する特徴を示すものであった。

In Puerto Rico, the women started to keep their distance from the divisive political issue of the island's status as a US territory when they united to address women's issues. This has caused the established parties to rethink their politics and also has accelerated the argument objectively about the island's political status. Meanwhile, in the US, the influence of Puerto Rican women is felt in grass roots movements and in women of color movements. They have added their Latina perspective to the mainly white middle class American feminist movement. Also, with their different circumstances and concerns, they are a new addition to the Puerto Rican national identity. Both on the island and in the mainland US, Puerto Ricans are creating a new paradigm in politics. Their movement is growing rapidly in the group of minorities in sovereign nations and in feminism on the outskirts of a sovereign nation. We can recognize the case of Puerto Rican women as one of post colonial feminism.

This paper about performance piece S/N (1994) created by artist group Dumb Type investigates the citations of previous works by Dumb Type members or other artists. Then, it illustrates the structure of the performance piece by using interviews about the creation process and the recorded performance analysis of S/N.In previous reviews, Dumb Type was reported to value the equality among the members in terms of participation in the creative process. In addition, Dumb Type was said to prevent the control by a single author/director on the performance piece. At first sight, hybridity, or decentralization, is the initial characteristic of S/N. The performance's elements are juxtaposed on the stage, including texts, moving bodies, synthesized music, lighting, performers' dialogue, and the projection of moving images.In consequence, however, citations and the original creation portion on S/N are aligned along two main themes consistently. S/N has a structure in which similar parts repeat and develop.The relationship between the creation of S/N and FURUHASHI Teiji, who informed his close friends about his HIV-positive status just before the creation, will need to be investigated further.

症例は5歳女児.持続する不正性器出血を主訴に当科紹介受診となった.外陰部を含め,身体所見に異常を認めなかった.MRI検査にて膣内異物を同定し,全身麻酔下に膣内観察,摘出を行った.摘出異物は直径約18 mmのプラスチック製の玩具とビニール片であった.異物摘出後,小児用膀胱鏡を用いて膣内を観察すると膣内の炎症所見は高度で,子宮口は同定困難であった.性的虐待の可能性も考慮し児童相談所と相談したが,性的虐待の可能性は低いと判断されたため摘出後4日目に自宅退院となった.摘出1か月後に再度小児用膀胱鏡を用いて膣内観察を行った際,膣内ポリープを認めたため摘出した.ポリープは異物による慢性炎症が原因と考えられる肉芽組織であった.小児の難治性の帯下・不正性器出血は膣内異物を疑い速やかな膣内観察が必要であり,摘出後のフォローアップも重要と思われた.

大分市では,新産業都市への指定を機に人口が増加し,その受け皿として多くの郊外住宅地が形成された。本稿では,大分市の郊外化の過程を跡付けるとともに,ある郊外住宅地の住民像とそこにおける世代交代の現状を把握し,子世代の動向や親世代の意向に基づいて今後の変容について展望した。大都市圏の郊外住宅地と同様に,対象世帯のほとんどはホワイトカラーの夫と専業主婦からなる核家族世帯であったが,夫に関しては,転勤を契機として大分市に住み始めた者が多い点が特徴的である。対象世帯のほとんどは現住居への住み続けを希望しているが,住民の高齢化に伴って日常生活に不便をきたすことが懸念される。大分市内に居住する既婚の子世代の大半は親と別居しており,半数以上はすでに自分で持家を取得している。したがって,子世代が親世代の住居を継承して住むことはそれほど期待できず,長期的には空き家の発生などが懸念される。一方で,世代間の社会階層の再生産はなされており,大分市内に居住する子世代には,ホワイトカラー層が多く居住する大分市の西部に居住地を選択する傾向がみられた。このことは,都市内部の居住地域構造が,子世代の居住地選択を通じて世代を超えて引き継がれていく可能性を示唆している。
