ネットワーク構造からリンクが密な部分集合を抽出することを,複雑ネットワーク科学ではコミュニティ抽出と呼ぶ.密につながる集団は,同じ属性や傾向をもつ集団であることが多いため有用な情報となる.古くはグラフ理論や数理社会学から近年のWebサイエンスまで幅広くコミュニティ抽出手法として全体を俯瞰し,近年提案された高速なニューマン法とその派生法を概説する.オンライン上には既に数千万から億の単位でユーザがつながっており,集団間の情報流や効果的なマーケティング法の研究などORにおいてもコミュニティ抽出法は有効と考え,その可能性を解説し,今後を展望したい.

本研究では,がん罹患・死亡データから特に全国規模のデータに着目し,それを解析するための手法の開発を行った.ロジスティック回帰モデルとモデル選択規準量を用いて,全国罹患数推計に関して,登録の完全性を補正する方法を構築し, 現在の報告値が20〜30%ほどの過小評価である可能性を指摘した.また,生命表の考え方を用いて,がん罹患・死亡生涯リスク確率を推定し,男性の2人に1人が,女性の3人に1人ががんに罹患するという結果を得た.

関西大学高槻ミューズキャンパスは、小学校、中学校、高校、大学、大学院、生涯学習センターを一つの建物に併せ持つ、他に類を見ない総合教育施設である。「社会貢献型都市キャンパス」を目指し、多くの施設を地域開放するとともに、災害時には防災拠点となるべく、避難所機能を備えることが求められた。このプロジェクトは、多世代の教育の場を一つに統合するという事業主の壮大な夢を、楽しく、多様に、かつ安全に空間化する試みである。計画は、JR高槻駅北東地区開発事業の一つに位置づけられ、一体的なまちづくりとともに進められてきた。計画地の西側、南側には高槻市の公園が間もなく整備され、園内のメイン通路よりキャンパスへのアクセスが可能になる。約53,000m^2の建物とグラウンドを約1.75haの敷地の中に高密度に納めるため、高層化を図り、日影規制等の法条件から現在の横配置が導かれた。教室機能をメインとする高層棟の東側1〜5階に小学校、6〜13階に中学校、高校を配置、西側には大学、大学院、生涯学習センターの諸機能が入る。低層棟には、小中高生のための体育施設と大学生と市民が利用するレストランが配置される。

The previous eruption history of Fuji volcano has been re-examined by new 100 radiometric carbon ages. The major unconformity between Ko-Fuji and Shin-Fuji volcanoes of Tsuya (1968, 1971) was caused by the edifice collapse resulting in the Tanukiko debris avalanche at about Cal BC 18,000. Voluminous effusion of basalt lava flows in the older ejecta of Shin-Fuji volcano (Tsuya, 1968, 1971) had started at about Cal BC 15,000 and continued until about Cal BC 6,000. Deposition of black soil layer between the Older and Younger Fuji tephra layers of Machida (1964, 1977) started at Cal BC 8,000. After several thousands years quiescent time, basaltic eruptions in the middle ejecta of Shin-Fuji volcano (Tsuya, 1968, 1971) had restarted at about Cal BC 3,600 and thin lava flows had piled up as the central volcanic cone, until about Cal BC 1,700. The eruption style of the volcano changed into explosive basaltic eruptions from the summit and the flank at about Cal BC 1,500; the S-10 to S-22 scoria fall deposits were generated in this first half period of the younger ejecta of Shin-Fuji volcano (Tsuya, 1968, 1971). Also, basaltic pyroclastic flows cascaded down the western flank at about Cal BC 1,500, Cal BC 1,300, Cal BC 1,000 and Cal BC 770. The last summit explosive eruption (S-22) occurred at about Cal BC 300. Immediately after the S-22 eruption, basaltic fissure eruptions had repeated at the flanks until the 1707 Hoei eruption. New data suggest that the Fudosawa, Nissawa and Suyama-tainai lava flows in the southern flank are historical products at about Cal AD 1,000.

ブログや SNS、掲示板などのソーシャルメディアにおける匿名性の高いコミュニケーションにおいては、会員登録や仮名利用によって利用者の識別性が確保されている。だが、第三者が、ID そのものを乗っ取るまでにいかないものの、趣味や嗜好を真似て特定のユーザに「なりすます」という問題が発生している。長らく使っていた仮名を他者が意図的に名乗り出してコミュニケーションに混乱を招いたり、個人のブログやサイトの管理者であるかのようにふるまうといった行為だ。本稿では、ネット上の匿名性と識別性の整理を踏まえた上で、こうしたなりすまし問題についての考察を試みる。Social-media, such as blogs, SNS and BBS is the place that users tend to hide their real name but register their IDs. Username squatting is occurred on such social-media not only as identity-theft but as pretending to be a particular user. This paper firstly shows the classification of identity representation on the web, then,consider several cases of username squatting based on the classification.

本稿は,韓国語を母語とする日本語学習者(以下,KL(Korean speaking learners of Japanese)の携帯メールの特徴を実例を示しながら報告したものである.KLの携帯メールでは,韓国語をカタカナ表記するという特殊な現象が観察された.本稿では,これを「カタカナ韓国語」と呼び,母語話者どうしの母語でのメールでさえ頻繁に日本語(学習言語)と母語(カタカナ韓国語)とのコードスイッチングが行われることを指摘した.このほか,KLの携帯メールのデータでは,親愛の呼称,副詞,流行している表現,感情を強調する表現,待遇的な配慮を必要とする表現がカタカナ韓国語になりやすいことを明らかにした.これに対して,パッチム(ハングルの音節末に付く子音k,n,t,r,m,p,〓)はカタカナで表しにくいため,パッチムを含む語彙ではカタカナ韓国語が回避され,アルファベット表記されるという特徴が観察された.

Nineteen cases of histiocytic sarcomas in Pembroke Welsh Corgi were examined histopathologically. Focal or multiple masses were detected in the lung or in regional lymph nodes, or in both lung and nodes. All neoplastic lesions had common histological features characterized by the proliferation of pleomorphic histiocytic cells combined with various inflammatory cells. Most of the pleomorphic neoplastic cells were immunopositive for human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DR and Iba-1. The median survival time for all dogs was 133 days. In the present study, several prognostic factors, such as gender, age, single or multiple lesions, lymph node involvement at the time of diagnosis, surgical resection status and additional chemotherapy, were examined, although none of these factors approached statistical significance. Histiocytic sarcoma must be considered in the differential diagnosis of dogs with pulmonary masses, especially in the canine breed.

Previous studies have shown clear cultural differences in how Japanese and American social network site (SNS) users interract with differing SNS platforms (see Barker and Ota, 2011; Fogg and Iizawa, 2008; Takahashi, 2010). In this study of 131 Japanese SNS users who use both Facebook and Mixi, self-disclosure, numbers of contacts, in-group numbers, and levels of perceived commitment on Mixi and Facebook were measured. The study found that such users showed a lower level of self-disclosure, connected with fewer people and had fewer categories of contacts, and felt a higher degree of commitment on Mixi than on Facebook. It is suggested that these differences stem from differing responses to percieved relational mobility on each platform; Mixi being a socioecological environment which reflects low-relationally mobile Japanese society, and Facebook being a socioecological environment which reflects high relationally mobile North American social environments. A human-demonstration based approach to the object motion design and the recognition of process state transitions in the insertion of a deformable tube is presented. First, human demonstration during the insertion of a deformable hose into a rigid plug is measured by use of a position sensor and a force sensor. Secondly, the measurements are analyzed with regard to the process states during the insertion. Human motion and recognition laws to detect process state transitions from force sensation are then extracted through the analysis of human demonstration. Finally, human motion during the insertion is transplanted to a mechanical manipulator to examine whether the human recognition laws are useful or not for the insertion performed by a mechanical manipulator.

江戸時代の大坂の植木屋の中で,高津の吉助は江戸の植木屋と並ぶほど大規模なもので,天満天神と下寺町と北野寺町は社寺の参拝客を対象にしたものだった。新町は遊廓の中で季節的に店を出し,道頓堀や難波新地の植木屋は遊興の客を相手にしていた。人か集まる場所であることと植木を仮植できる土地があることが,植木屋が店を設ける条件になっていたと言える。せり市を開催して全国各地に出荷したり,株仲間を形成したことも繁栄した理由だろう。供花や生け花用の草花は,南御堂前や天満天神周辺などのような人が多く集まる場所で販売されていた。玉造が草花の生産地になっていたのは,鮮度を保つ上で大坂近郊であることが必要だったからだろう。
