日本列島における更新世終末期の考古学的研究は,史的唯物論と自国の一国史を前提に,旧石器時代から縄文時代への変化を明らかにするとの課題を立て,日本の外部からの新文化の伝来なのか,それとも内部で自発的に展開したのかという問題構成を軸に進められた。縄文文化起源論の形をとる外来説は大陸文化の波及を強調し,一方で旧石器終末期編年の形をとる内在説は,石器の変化に狩猟具の発展を認めようとした。やがて戦前の旧石器の存在が知られていない頃の主流であった外来説から,岩宿発見を経て内在説を基本とする理解へとシフトし,旧石器から縄文への移行は短期間に複数の石器が変化した激動の時代であったと理解された。しかし 90 年代後半以後には,C年代の蓄積とロシア・中国での調査の進展をうけて,短期間という時間認識と一国史的な空間認識は再考を迫られた。国家の空間範囲の中で生産力の発展を先史時代にさぐる枠組みにかわり,多階層的な空間範囲での自然と人類活動との相互システムの個別的解明と,それらの広域での比較が,今後の研究に求められる枠組みである。

第二言語(外国語)で、読んだり書いたりする際に、単語の連続(連語)をどのように処理しているのかを観察した。読解時の視線をミリ秒単位で記録する視線計測装置による実験で、英語では連語の頻度の差により母語話者と学習者の処理は違うという結果が得られたが、フランス語では頻度の差は影響するが母語話者と学習者で処理に差はなく、ドイツ語では頻度の差は母語話者にも学習者にも影響しないという結果が得られた。また、英文を書く際には、書く過程と書いた結果とでは必ずしも連語は一致しないという結果が得られた。

This study aimed to identify the characteristics of snatch lift in top-class Japanese female weightlifters. The hypothesis was that lifters who are good at the snatch had lower barbell velocity in the 1st pull and longer heel contact time based on their weightlifting coaching points. Female lifters who competed in the 2021 All Japan Women's Weightlifting Championships were included in the study. Lifters who had a small difference in scores between the best attempts in snatch and clean & jerk lifts comprised Group A (good at snatch), while those who had a greater difference in scores comprised Group B (NOT good at snatch). The two-dimensional position coordinates of the barbell of each athlete's best snatch attempt during competition were calculated from video analysis to determine the kinematic variables of the barbell. Heel contact time was also determined from video images and compared between groups. The results supported the hypothesis: athletes in Group A had a significantly smaller mean vertical velocity of the barbell in the 1st pull phase than the athletes in Group B (0.45±0.05[m/s], 0.52±0.05[m/s], p<0.001, d=1.179). However, there were no significant differences in mean vertical velocity of the barbell in the 2nd pull phase or in vertical maximum velocity between groups. Heel contact time was also significantly larger in Group A (0.61±0.04[s], 0.53±0.06[s], p<0.001, d=1.347). Finally, there was a negative relationship between the mean vertical velocity of the barbell during the 1st pull phase of the snatch and the best snatch attempt that standardized body weight (r=-0.287, p<0.05). These results suggest that slow and careful execution of the 1st pull and keeping the feet flat in the snatch positively affect the performance.

意志決定は, 文化の違いを越えて共通に見られる基本的な認識作用である。本研究は, 長崎大学に在学中の156名を対象にして, 意志決定行為と人格特性について, JanisとMann (1977) が提唱した意志決定の葛藤理論に基づく尺度により調査した研究の第一報である。調査結果は, 葛藤理論に基づく予想を支持するものであった。すなわち, 意志決定者としての自己評価が高い場合には, 「熟慮」型の意志決定スタイルとポジティブな相関関係が見られ, 「自己満足」「防衛的回避」および「短慮」といった不適切なスタイルとの相関関係はネガティブであった。更に, オーストラリアの同年代で同質の学生と比較したところ, 意志決定行為の違いが明らかになった。この結果については, 意志決定の葛藤理論を文化の違いを越えて適用することの是非を問い直すという観点から考察をくわえ, かつ今後も継続的に比較研究することの重要性について述べた。

サシバエは吸血性の畜産害虫である。吸血には強い痛みをともなうため、肉用牛・乳用牛ともに多大なストレスを受け、生産性への悪影響が報告されている。さらに、サシバエは牛伝染性リンパ腫ウイルスをはじめ、多くの家畜病原体の媒介者でもあることから、有効な防除法の確立は喫緊の課題である。こうした中、申請者は国内で初めてサシバエの天敵寄生蜂を発見した。この寄生蜂の持続的な活用を目標に、本研究では、下記3点の調査結果を総合しサシバエの保全的生物的防除の基盤を整備する。①全国各地での寄生蜂の種構成の解明、②寄生蜂の発生消長の解明、③サシバエと主要寄生蜂の地理的遺伝構造の解明

The aim of this paper is to consider a contrast between “mechanized ossification” and the “struggle of the gods.” In ‘The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism.’ Weber was afraid that Western culture would enter a state of “mechanized ossification.” “Mechanized ossification” is a key concept in Weber's explanation of modern Western stagnation. Based on his concern regarding “mechanized ossification,” I consider Weber's writings and clarify the positive side of the “struggle of the gods,” which many have considered to be Max Weber's pessimistic diagnosis of modern culture.

本研究の目的は, 人間のような構造化された知能を模倣し, ロボットに高度な知能を実現することである.本論文では, 環境認識に重点を置き, 環境条件が変化した場合において, 迅速に適応する必要がある.そこで, 遺伝的アルゴリズム(GA)の各個体において, 環境密度情報をもとに交叉・選択の対象とする知覚情報に基づく知覚GAを提案する.また, 外部(環境)からの評価を基に評価関数や学習率のパラメータの変更則を提案し, 移動ロボットの障害物回避計画に適応することで, その有効性について, 検討を行う.

A 19-year-old Japanese man was hospitalized for cardiogenic shock 28 days after receiving a second dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) mRNA-1273 vaccine. He had had a high fever for three days with vomiting and abdominal pain before arriving at our hospital. The patient visited a local hospital and was diagnosed with heart failure and acute appendicitis. An endomyocardial biopsy specimen showed myocarditis. Thereafter, Impella CP left ventricular assist device implantation and venoarterial peripheral extracorporeal membranous oxygenation were initiated immediately along with inotropic support and steroid pulse therapy. Given these findings, he was finally diagnosed with multiple inflammatory syndrome and fulminant myocarditis.

In the present paper, we reviewed some linear and non-linear interactions which possibly occur when intense microwave beam emitted from Solar Power Satellite (SPS) propagates through the ionosphere down to the ground. In the linear regime, effects are discussed about the Faraday rotation, refraction, scintillation, and particle collision on the microwave beam propagation through the ionosphere. As to the non-linear interactions, three-wave coupling, self-focusing of microwave beam, and plasma perturbation by the Ponderomotive force are briefly reviewed. Since the theoretical analysis of these nonlinear phenomena is generally difficult, numerical simulations play an important role for the understanding of the interactions. In the present paper, we particularly focused on the three-wave coupling and the density perturbation by the Ponderomotive force by showing some simulation results obtained in computer experiments with plasma particle model.

A 74-year-old female with cerebral infarction and a 78-year-old female with cerebral glioblastoma suffered complex partial seizure. Ictal perfusion single photon emission computed tomography in these patients showed the interesting phenomenon of ‘crossed cerebellar hyperperfusion, ’ a reversed crossed cerebellar diaschisis. The mechanism is probably spread of electrical seizure through efferent projections, and may be related to the cerebellar atrophy seen in patients with long-standing partial epilepsy.
