Background: Coronary healed plaques (HPs) reportedly have high vulnerability or show advanced atherosclerosis and a risk of rapid plaque progression. However, the prognosis of stable angina pectoris (SAP) patients with HPs undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains under-investigated.Methods and Results: We analyzed 417 consecutive lesions from SAP patients undergoing pre- and post-intervention optical coherence tomography (OCT) for which HPs were defined as having a layered appearance. We investigated the differences in clinical and lesion characteristics, and post-PCI outcomes between HPs and non-HPs. To account for differences in clinical characteristics, propensity score matching was performed between the groups. HPs were observed in 216 lesions (51.8%) in the total cohort. In the propensity-matched cohort (n=294), HPs had higher rates of angiographic-B2/C lesions (77.6% vs. 59.2%, P<0.001), OCT-lipid-rich plaques (40.8% vs. 25.9%, P=0.007), macrophages (78.2% vs. 44.2%, P<0.001), greater luminal area stenosis (73.5±11.0% vs. 71.5±10.3%, P=0.002), and a higher prevalence of post-stenting irregular tissue protrusion (45.1% vs. 14.7%, P<0.001) than non-HPs. In the total cohort, target lesion revascularization (TLR)-free survival was poorer for HPs (log-rank test 7.66; P=0.006), and Cox proportional hazards analysis showed HP as an independent predictor of TLR (hazard ratio, 5.98; 95% confidence interval, 1.72–20.82; P=0.005).Conclusions: In SAP patients, HPs had greater complexity of lesions and higher vulnerability, which may have contributed to the poorer post-PCI outcomes.

Background: The relationships between preoperative fractional flow reserve (FFR) values of the left anterior descending artery (LAD), FFRLAD, and intraoperative transit time flow measurement (TTFM) variables in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) remain unclear.Methods and Results: We retrospectively collected data for 74 in situ left internal thoracic artery (LITA) grafts and 27 saphenous vein grafts (SVGs) to the LAD that were shown to be patent on postoperative angiography. Spearman correlation coefficients were determined between FFRLADand TTFM parameters of the LITA graft, as follows: maximum flow (Qmax), −0.22 (P=0.077); minimum flow (Qmin), −0.40 (P=0.014); mean flow (Qm), −0.35 (P=0.039); pulsatility index (PI), 0.33 (P=0.008); diastolic filling (DF): 0.01 (P=0.83); and systolic reverse flow (SRF), 0.37 (P=0.002). Spearman correlation coefficients between FFRLADand TTFM parameters of the SVG to LAD were: Qmax, −0.65 (P=0.004); Qmin, −0.43 (P=0.044); Qm, −0.75 (P=0.001); PI, 0.53 (P=0.033); DF, 0.14 (P=0.48); and SRF, 0.61 (P=0.009).Conclusions: Both LITA grafts and SVGs to the LAD show negative correlations for FFRLADwith Qminand Qm, but positive correlations for FFRLADwith PI and SFR. These relationships between FFRLADand TTFM variables of CABG grafts to the LAD should be recognized.

学部留学生が書いたレポートの中に不要な語や表現の重複があることにより,読み手に稚拙な印象を与えることがある。重複を回避するためには,学生の気づきを促す指導を行うことが有効であると考える。しかし,作文教材を調査したところ,重複が十分には扱われていないことがわかった。このことから,アカデミック・ライティングの授業において重複が積極的に取り上げられていないことが推測される。そこで,重複回避を意識したライティングの指導ができるよう,その基礎研究として本研究を行うことにした。本稿では,まず,学部留学生のレポートから,複数の判定者によって重複と判定されたものを抽出し,次に,文レベル,談話レベル,およびその2つのレベルに関連する重複をみていくため,卓立性・結束性・論理性・一貫性の4つの観点を導入し,それぞれに関わる重複に分類し,分析・考察を行った。さらに,重複と判定されなかった文との比較も行った。

Nuclear waste treating is based on the original thinking that stratum convection by the motion of the moon and the earth as seen from the universe, because of need to be tens of thousands of years thinking. In addition, one million years corpse of a previously deposited on the seabed organisms dived underground at the crustal movement. Then, there exist anywhere fossil fuels as the oil and gas by microbial degradation under high temperature and high pressure earth, and low-density gas is also enclosed underground without leaving. Nuclear waste disposal which take advantage of these natural phenomena is required. First, the treatment plant is in the field that requires a study of the re-engineering geophysical, and a natural phenomenon resulting from the features of the formation of crustal movement should be used as treatment plant of the nuclear waste.

In this paper, we conducted a sketch map survey of two attributes with and without land knowledge to understand the characteristics of the city image created using a map application. Through the analysis of the sketch maps, it became clear that the use of map applications is effective in creating city images for users without land knowledge. In addition, we found that the formation of city images through app use was influenced by (1) the image before using the app, (2) the usage of application functions, and (3) the time of use using the app.

Elemental and isotopic analyses of individual submicron-sized particles in chondrite matrix were made by an inductively coupled plasma time-of-flight mass spectrometer (ICP-TOF-MS) and a multiple collector ICP-MS equipped with high-time-resolution ion counters (HTR-MC-ICP-MS). The particles were collected from Allende CV3 chondrite through a laser ablation-in-liquid (LAL) technique. Firstly, the abundances for four major elements (Si, Al, Mg, and Fe) were determined on total 6086 particles, indicating that the Allende matrix is a mixture of submicron-sized particles made mainly of olivine, pyroxene, spinel, Fe–Ni sulfide, and Fe–Ni metal, consistent with the predicted major constituent minerals by a nebular condensation model. The major elemental compositions revealed that Fe–Ni particles are minor components (about 0.3% in number fraction) in the Allende matrix. Then, to estimate the origin of these metallic particles, abundances for Ni and two minor elements (Os and Pt) were measured. Total 10417 particles of Ni–Os–Pt bearing particles were also found in the chondrite matrix. Majority of the particles were enriched in Ni. Os and Pt were present as separated particles, and no particles with presence of both the Os and Pt were found. Finally, with the HTR-MC-ICP-MS technique, 195Pt/194Pt value was measured on total 1545 particles. The resulting 195Pt/194Pt values agree with the solar composition within analytical uncertainties. This lack in isotopic anomalies of the 195Pt/194Pt can be explained either by majority of the Pt nuggets being produced from uniform reservoir in the solar system or by Pt being isotopically homogenized prior to the formation of the solar nebula.

Environmentally sustainable and selective conversion of methane to valuable chemicals under ambient conditions is pivotal for the development of next-generation photocatalytic technology. However, the lack of microscopic knowledge on its reaction mechanism prevents the development of engineering strategies for methane photocatalysis. Here we introduce key molecular-level insights into the photocatalytic green utilization of methane. Activation of the robust C–H bond of methane is hardly induced by the direct interaction with photogenerated holes trapped at the surface of photocatalyst ; instead, the C–H activation is significantly promoted by the photoactivated interfacial water species. The interfacial water hydrates and properly stabilizes hydrocarbon radical intermediates, thereby suppressing their overstabilization. Owing to these water-assisted effects, the photocatalytic conversion rates of methane under wet conditions are dramatically improved by typically more than 30 times at ambient temperatures (~300 K) and pressures (~1 atm) in comparison to those under dry conditions.

日本語の使役文には様々な用法があり,中国語母語話者にとって習得が難しいと言われているが,運用上における使用実態は十分に明らかにされていない。本稿では作文コーパスLARP at SCUの分析結果から,台湾人学習者による日本語使役文の用法別の使用実態を明確にしたい。考察の結果,全体の使用率も誤用率も「他動的」>「心理的」>「基本的」で,誤用のパターンは用法別に異なる傾向が見られた。「他動的」は日本語の動詞自他用法の未習得による「させる」の不使用と過剰使用及び有対動詞の非用,「心理的」は被使役者を示す助詞「に」の過剰一般化,「基本的」は「てもらう」との混同に起因する誤用が多い。また「基本的」は一貫して誤用率が低いのに,「他動的」「心理的」は学習年数が経過しても依然として誤用率が高いことが分かった。以上のことを踏まえ,日本語教育の立場から「他動的」「心理的」を重点的に教えることが使役文の習得を促進させると言えよう。

本研究では,首都圏に展開する同一チェーン99店舗のコンビニエンスストア(CVS)を,商品群の売上に基づいて七つの店舗類型に分類し,その空間分布の特徴を把握するとともに,店舗類型を規定する要因を考察した.対象店舗の商品群別POSデータを用いて因子分析を行い,CVSの売上を説明する因子として,外出先購入因子,菓子飲料因子,他業態代替因子,生活雑貨因子,酒類関連因子の5因子を抽出した.次に,この5因子の店舗別因子負荷量を用いて対象店舗のクラスター分析を行い,分析対象とした99店舗のCVSを7類型に分類した.本分析を通じて,CVSには,従来指摘されてきたような時間的な補完機能を中心とする利用形態に加えて,品揃えやワンストップショッピング性を評価した他業態代替型の利用形態が存在することが明らかとなった.これは,当該商圏における商店街やスーパーマーケットなど競合する業態の存立状況を反映したものであると同時に,若年層を主体とした新たな店舗選択store choiceパターンの存在を示すものである.さらに,オフィス街や学校の周辺でも夜間人口が多い立地では,昼間に発生する来街者の需要と,居住者による他業態補完型需要とが,同じ店舗で時間帯を分けて発生することを確認した.
