西王母は古く『山海経』に異形の姿を現すが、のちには不老不死の仙薬や蟠桃の管理者として、人間界の帝王などと交会するようになる。当初の両性具有の存在から女性原理の体現者に変化したため、男女の交会により自らの不老不死の能力を更新する必要が生じたためであろう。しかし人間界に交会の相手を求めるのは困難であり差しさわりもあると意識されたのであろう、西王母の対偶神としての東王公が創出され、これと歳に一度の交会を果たすようになった。ところが道教のパンテオンのなかで、東王公が天帝、西王母が女神の最高神となるや、両者の交会は不適切と感ぜられるようになってしまった。かくてその役割は織女と牽牛という第二世代にバトンタッチされた。原西王母の継承者である織女は、道教パンテオンにおいて間もなく西王母の娘に相応しい「夫人」の地位を得たが、男性原理の体現者を人間界に求める必要がある点ではそれまでと変わらなかった。これが『新話摭粋』(や『緑窗新話』)の遇仙類に見える、「遇」や「歓」を求める仙女の正体であり、「楊家将」に代表される、数世代に亙る武将一族の物語において、戦場で男将と闘い、これを実力で負かして捕虜にしたうえ強引に夫とする(陣前比武招親)、女仙に師事する女将の正体であった。いいかえれば、「陣前比武招親」する女将は西王母の第二世代であり、その師事する女仙は西王母だったのである。このモチーフを「西王母交会モチーフ」というとき、「西王母交会モチーフ」は後の才子佳人小説の中にも形を変えて使われていた。「西王母交会モチーフ」は中国の小説史において極めて重要なモチーフといえよう。

A 42-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital because of generalized convulsive status epilepticus (GCSE), disturbance of consciousness, and shock. He had cardiopulmonary arrest after arrival our hospital, but he was return of spontaneous circulation as soon as cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He had disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and multiple organ dysfunction. From the time of admission, we managed about the patient's breathing, circulation, body temperature. We also administrated sodium valproate 400mg, levetiracetam 1,000mg daily, and continuous use of midazolam to status epilepticus. In addition, he underwent continuous renal replacement therapy because of acute renal failure. The electroencephalogram showed scattered delta waves. Brain MR images showed hyper-intense lesions at bilateral pallidum and thalami, which led to a diagnosis of hypoxic encephalopathy associated with long-term GCSE. On day 13, he started tracking our fingers with his eyes. On day 34, he was able to obey commands and he was transferred to the general ward. GCSE is known to exhibit various organ dysfunctions. In this case, there was a history of epilepsy and had developed on GCSE, but as a result of the clinical examination, it was considered epilepsy-related organ dysfunction because the cause of multiple organ dysfunction was not clear.

久留米大学の商学部学生がteam.csv というコンピュータサイエンスを活用したボランティア活動を行っている。このサークルが企画し開催したプログラミングイベント,また外部のボランティア団体が開催するプログラミング等のイベントにスタッフとして参加した経験が,学生自身にどのようなメリットをもたらすのか,さらに協力いただいた複数のボランティア団体相互にもたらされる効果とは何かについて,2019 年度に実施してきたイベントをもとに考察する。なお,本稿の最後に報告資料として,2019 年度に実施したプログラミングイベントの概要を報告する。

A 11-year-old, 5.8-kg, male European cat was presented with a 4-month history of sneezing, nasal discharge, respiratory distress and bilateral conjunctivitis. Physical examination showed bilateral hemorrhagic mucopurulent nasal discharge and stertorous respiratory sounds. An irregular shaped mass involving the aboral portion of the right nasal cavity and sphenoidal sinus was identified by computed tomography. The mass was localized endoscopically in the medium meatus and an endoscopic-guided biopsy was performed. B-cell lymphoma was diagnosed by histopathological and immunochemistry exams. Functional endoscopic sinus surgery allowed to completely remove the tumor and restore a normal nasal flow. The cat showed no recurrence of the neoplasia for 15 months after the functional endoscopic sinus surgery.

The aim of this paper is to present the structure and classification of past sequences, e.g., flashbacks, with reference to actual scenes from movies and televised movies, with a new technique for transcription. An analysis of the techniques used in the scenes revealed the following points: (1) close-ups and voice-overs are used to indicate “who remembers,” (2) reshowing the prior scenes or references to the past are used to indicate “when the event occurred,” and (3) changing the color or brightness of the screen is used to indicate “breaks” between the present and the past. The analysis reveals that many techniques, or cognitive artifacts, are employed to depict past sequences, which often result in redundancy. The notion of cognitive artifacts is discussed further, particularly with respect to their systematic aspects.

ユングの思想と古代グノーシス主義の関係性は、これまで様々な仕方で論じられてきたにもかかわらず、未だ不分明なものに留まっている。その大きな原因は、グノーシス主義に関するユングの言及がきわめて曖昧であり、妥当性を欠いている一方、「自己の実現」という目的論や「善悪二元論」という世界観において、両者の思想がある種の共鳴を見せているからである。そこでこの論文では、ロマン主義の宗教論、具体的にはシュライエルマッハーとシェリングのそれを取り上げ、それがどのような点でユング思想の基礎と見なされ得るのか、また近代のロマン主義的パースペクティブを古代グノーシス主義へと適用することがどのような問題を発生させるのかについて考察してみたい。

Consumption of the berries of Morrow's Honeysuckle Lonicera morrowii has caused reddening of bird plumages in North America. We looked for examples of reddened feathers in Japanese birds, where the honeysuckle is native. We report the observation of legitimate reddened feathers in three Gray-headed Woodpeckers Picus canus, but are unsure whether the honeysuckle caused the color change in this instance. Morrow's Honeysuckle is uncommon in Japan, and birds rarely eat its berries. The availability of a wide variety of edible fruits may generally reduce the likelihood of avian plumage coloration being altered by shrubs such as the honeysuckle in Japan.

音声言語の研究(9)東京方言の助詞・助動詞にはアクセントとしてどのような性質のものがあるかについて,直前形式とのアクセントとしての複合形態という観点を徹底させておこなった整理の結果と,関連する理論的問題についての検討結果を記した。ここでは助詞・助動詞のアクセントの性質を「乗っとり型」,「乗っとられ型」,「協力型」の3 種に分けたが,ほとんどのものは「協力型」になる。分類結果と具体的なアクセントを表2 と付表に示した。

Objective With the advent of capsule endoscopy (CE) and double-balloon endoscopy (DBE), the diagnosis and treatment of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) have markedly progressed. However, rebleeding sometimes occurs and is difficult to diagnose and treat. The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical features of OGIB and risk factors for rebleeding in our hospital. Methods A total of 195 patients who underwent CE and/or DBE for OGIB in our hospital from January 2009 to July 2016 were included in the present study. We analyzed 168 cases of small intestinal OGIB, after excluding 27 cases of extra small intestinal bleeding. The clinical characteristics and risk factors related to rebleeding were retrospectively studied. Results Among the 168 patients who were included in the analysis, 95 patients (56.5%) were male. The mean age was 64.5 years (range, 8 to 87 years). Hypertension (31.0%) was the most frequent comorbidity, followed by chronic kidney disease (19.0%). The final diagnoses were ulcerative lesions (n=50, 29.8%), vascular lesions (n=30, 17.9%), tumors (n=7, 4.2%), and diverticula (n=2, 1.2%). The bleeding source was undetermined in the remaining 79 cases (47.0%). Rebleeding was confirmed in 29 cases (17.3%). In a univariate analysis, chronic kidney disease, vascular lesions, and overt previous bleeding were significantly associated with the risk of rebleeding. A multivariate analysis showed that chronic kidney disease, vascular lesion, and overt previous bleeding were significantly associated with the risk of rebleeding. Conclusion Patients with OGIB with overt previous bleeding, vascular lesions, and/or chronic kidney disease had a higher risk of rebleeding.

2016年4月14日21時26分に熊本県熊本地方でM(マグニチュード)6.5の地震が発生し、震度7が記録された。その後の余震活動に続いて16日1時25分には、より大きいM7.3のイベントが発生し、熊本県周辺の狭い範囲で地震が続いた。このような狭い地域に引き続いて起こる大きな地震に興味をもち、実験で類似する現象の再現を試みた。実験では高野豆腐などの試料を万力で加圧し、発生する破壊音を記録する。そしてその音を地震ととらえて波形を解析し、大きさと発生した時間を数値化した。その結果、スナック菓子のハッピーターンによる試行で「平成28年熊本地震」の地震活動に最も似た現象が見られた。このデータから求めたグーテンベルク=リヒターの式による解析結果について考察を加えて報告する。
