本研究では、「政府のオープンデータをいかに保存し、その長期的アクセスをいかに保障するか」という観点での制度・政策的課題、および米国連邦政府を中心とした課題解決の試みを明らかにした。研究成果の中で提示したポイントは、以下のような点である。(1)「オープン・ガバメント時代」のもとで政府情報は「メディアとしての多様化」を示しており、その全体像を把握していく必要がある。(2)オープンデータが有する「機械可読性」を、保存においても考慮する必要がある。(3)政府のオープンデータや、官・民によるその加工物の保存は、「ガバナンス」すなわち官・民が交わる統治状況を遡及的に検証することにつながり得る。

マアジの行動様式を把握するため日本海佐渡島羽茂地先の水深 45 m に設置された人工魚礁において,超音波バイオテレメトリー(V9P-1H, VEMCO 社製)を全長 30 cm のマアジへ外部装着し,追跡を行った。追跡は 2008 年 6~7 月の間に 1 尾ずつ 7 回行った。マアジは日中には人工魚礁や天然礁の天端から高さ 10 m 程度に留まり,夜間は水深 5~10 m の表層を遊泳しながら礁から離脱し,早朝,礁に移動し,日中,礁に蝟集するといった明確な日周行動を示した。

Here, we developed a device integrated with a nanochannel and nanostructures to slow DNA translocation velocity. We found that translocation velocity of a single DNA molecule inside a nanochannel was decreased by pre-elongating it using some nanostructures, such as a shallow channel or nanopillars. This decrease of the translocation velocity was associated with the DNA mobility change, which is an intrinsic parameter of DNA molecules and unaffected by an electric field.

論文誌「教育とコンピュータ」の誕生に際して,折から起きている初中等教育からのプログラミング教育も含めた情報教育推進の流れの中で当学会の果たすべき役割に対する雑感を述べて,論文誌とその対象とする研究領域の発展に期待するところを記す. Our government declares its initiative to promote ICT education in K-12 by introducing programming activities in primary and secondary schools. The author takes notes on what IPSJ shall and can do for the initiative, and expects that the Transaction on Computer and Education will bring a lot of contribution in this respect.

近年の情報技術の発展に伴い、マンガ作品の情報の共有・交換が盛んに行われるようになった。筆者らの研究室では、マンガに関する情報を統合的に扱うためのマンガメタデータスキーマを開発している。その一部に、読者が作品の内容を書き表すためのメタデータスキーマがある。本稿はマンガの知的内容を表すことを目的としているため、同心ストーリーの表現手法である小説や映画も参考にする。そこで、 Wikipedia 内に表れるマンガ麹小説の作品記事から 100 件をそれぞれ無作為に抽出し、記述項目について調査した。これらの調査結果および目次テンプレートを参考に、読者が作品の知的内容を書き表すためのメタデータ基本セットを提案する。Mangas, which are popular and important resource in our modern culture, are published not only in traditional printed media but also for PCs and mobile devices over networks. Metadata has crucial roles to enhance functionality to access to mangas in the networked information environment in various aspects. The goal of this paper is to discuss metadata elements required for describing intellectual content of mangas as graphic novels. In this paper, we analyzed mangas and novels in order to define the metadata elements to describe their intellectual confcetns as a story work. Then we defined several metadata elements and their refinements to express the common properties of the intellectual content. In this paper we propose a set of descriptive metadata elements for intellectual content of mangas based on the analysis and description templates of Wikipedia.

Repeated writing, or rehearsal by writing, is a common memory strategy for the Japanese, especially when learning new logographic characters. The to-be-remembered items are written down not as external prompts, as with reminder notes, but to be memorized in the course of writing them down over and over again. In this study, we investigated whether the strategy was effective, and if so, in which condition. Experiment I showed that repeated writing improved memory for graphic designs but not for Chinese characters, words, or syllables. Experiment 2 showed that the effect occurred for both Japanese and American subjects, suggesting that it was not the result of a cultural background associated with a logographic language, Instead, the effect seemed to be accounted for by the encoding specificity of visual-motor information, because repeated writing improved free recall— that included writing----but did not improve recognition (Experiment 3). In Experiment 4, the strategy was applied to learning the Arabic alphabet. Finally, similarities between repeated writing and 'I\-pe 1 rehearsal are discussed .

我々はこれまで大学に関連したプレスリリースを調査しており、それが近年大幅に増加し、それに対応して新聞への掲載も増加していることがわかってきた。本論文では、2007年から2012年の間に大学関連機関から発行されたプレスリリースの元になった学術論文について調査し、学術雑誌名やそのIF等との関係について分析する。また、実際に読売新聞、毎日新聞に掲載されたプレスリリースについても考察していく。

日本の農業団体の総元締めである全国農業協同組合中央会(JA全中)が呼びかけたTPP(環太平洋経済連携協定)反対集会には、全国から約3000人もの農林漁業関係者らが詰めかけた。 「日本の砂糖、乳製品をはじめとする広範な農作物がTPPによって壊滅します」。JA全中の冨士重夫・専務理事が聴衆に訴えかけた。 TPPに参加すると、日本の農業は本当に壊滅してしまうのだろうか。
