オゾンは光化学オキシダントの主要成分で強い酸化力を持ち, 農作物や樹木を枯らす等の被害をもたらしている。一過的に0.2ppm以上の高濃度のオゾンにさらされた植物の葉では, 可視的な障害が発生する。その可視障害は, オゾン暴露後に合成される植物ホルモン (エチレン, サリチル酸, ジャスモン酸) によって調節されていると考えられている。植物ホルモンは, 植物の成長分化, あるいはストレス応答に重要な物質で, 多岐にわたる反応を誘導する。近年, 遺伝子組換え技術によって植物の形態や生理機能を内在的に変化させた形質転換体を用いた解析や, シロイヌナズナの植物ホルモンの合成, シグナル伝達欠損変異体を用いた解析から, オゾン暴露時の植物ホルモンの役割が明らかにされはじめている。本総説では, エチレン, サリチル酸, ジャスモン酸がどのように合成され, どのような反応, シグナルを誘導するのかを紹介した。

本研究では,過去18 年間に生じた介護殺人716 件の全体状況を確認し,被告の介護を担う力量が問われた3 つの事例の分析を行った.介護殺人防止に向けては,国の施策として生じた事件の情報をデータ化し,特徴や傾向の分析を行い,得られた知見を制度や施策に活かしていくことが求められる.支援の現場では専門職により,介護を担う者の意思や能力の見極めを行うことも必要である.介護者を対象にしたアセスメントと,それに基づくケアプランの作成を行うことは介護殺人の予防のみならず,すべての被介護者と介護者にとって,介護や生活の質の向上を目指すツールとなり得る.現在日本でもイギリスの実践に習い,ケアマネジャーらが介護者アセスメントの開発を行い,ケアプラン作成技術の向上をめざす試みが始まっている.それらを一部の実践に留めることなく,介護者支援の方策として全国に展開していくことが今後の課題である.

ゲームには相手と自分の手がわかる完全情報ゲームとお互いに相手の手が完全にはわからない不完全情報ゲームとがある。将棋やチェスのような完全情報ゲームでは強いアルゴリズム開発を目指したコンピュータ将棋やチェスの研究が盛んで、世界チャンピオンやアマ有段者並みの強さを持つアルゴリズムが開発されている。一方、不完全情報ゲームでは不確実な情報のもとで相手の手の強さやゲーム戦略を推論しなければならず、その推論結果には不確実性が伴い、完全情報ゲームと比べると強いアルゴリズムを開発するまでにはいたっていない。本論文では、不完全情報ゲームとしてセブンカードスタッドポーカーを例にして、そのプレイングシステムを構築することを目的とする。本システムでは対戦相手の傾向に応じた意思決定を行うために後件部が確定していない、そして閾値をもった変則のファジィルールを用い、対戦相手の傾向に応じてルールを修正する。本システムは、この変則的なファジィルールを用いたファジィ推論によって、相手の見えているカードと相手の賭け金とから、自分の手の優劣推定やゲームを続行するかどうかの判断、自分の賭け金の判断を行う意思決定システムである。本システムの有効性を確認するために、人間プレーヤと1対1のゲームを行い、そこから得られたデータを解析している。

Background:The main histopathological features of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) are tissue proteolysis mediated by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and inflammation. This study aimed at verifying the presence and contribution of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) to aneurysmal tissue remodeling.Methods and Results:MSCs were successfully isolated from the AAA wall of 12 male patients and were found to express mesenchymal and stemness markers. MMP-2/-9 are involved in AAA progression and their mRNA levels in AAA-MSCs resulted higher than healthy MSCs (cMSCs), especially MMP-9 (400-fold increased). Moreover, MMP-9 protein and activity were pronounced in AAA-MSCs. Immunomodulation was tested in AAA-MSCs after co-culture with activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and revealed a weak immunosuppressive action on PBMC proliferation (bromodeoxyuridine incorporation, flow cytometry assay), together with a reduced expression of anti-inflammatory molecules (HLA-G, IL-10) by AAA-MSCs compared to cMSCs. MMP-9 expression in AAA-MSCs was shown to be negatively modulated under the influence of cMSCs and exogenous IL-10.Conclusions:MSCs with stemness properties are niched in human AAA tissues and display a dysregulation of functional activities; that is, upregulation of MMP-9 and ineffective immunomodulatory capacity, which are crucial in the AAA progression; the possibility to modulate the increased MMP-9 expression by healthy MSCs and IL-10 suggests that novel therapeutic strategies are possible for slowing down AAA progression. We examine whether the nature of gender relations matters for the effects on household efficiency of exogenous variation in spousal control over the intra-household allocation of resources. Experiments testing for efficiency were conducted among married couples in eight sites representing a range of conjugal cultures: from an extreme form of separate spheres in northern Nigeria to (male) centralised control in North India, along with a variety of intermediate cases. Inefficiency is widespread, varies greatly and tends to be lower when wives control the allocation. The exception is a site in northern Nigeria where female control over resources is well established.

Moral education textbooks of “Morality and Life” and “Morality and Society” in the PRC combine history, geography and politics with morality in a world view. Morality is not integrated as a separate world view within personality, as it is in Japan, but it is overwhelmingly organized outside of children themselves. We analyzed 10 kinds of moral education textbooks used in the PRC, published from 2002 to 2013. In Chinese moral textbooks, the history of the Opium War and the defeat of the Japanese military are organized in order to legitimize the Chinese Communist party's integration and operation within China. Peace in these textbooks is not only viewed as the opposite of War, but the concept richly includes a view of the Chinese people’s liberation, global unity of economy with other countries, development of science and technology in the PRC, along with world politics from a Chinese perspective.

文学理論のうち、読者を強く意識した読者反応批評、受容理論をハイパーテキスト小説の作成へ応用する可能性について考察する。これらの理論は、多様な読書の可能性を文学理論の立場から検証したものであり、ハイパーテキストはその理論を実証する場として位置付けることが出来る。また、コンピュータによって文学作品は戯曲や楽譜のような存在となったわけだが、本研究では読者中心批評をハイパーテキスト小説作成にあたっての理論的支柱として応用可能であることを示す。さらに、この仮説に基づいて既存の小説から2作品(筒井康隆『デマ』、三好徹『見えない復讐』)を選んでハイパーテキストの経路に着目した試作と多様な読みの可能性に着目した試作を行い、ハイパーテキスト小説化の問題点と課題を明らかにする。We consider applied possibility of a literary theory for Hypertext. Currently, Hypertext is very popular technology. In the field of literature, there are pragmatic attempts, but its creative software technology is not established. In this paper, first, we analyze characteristics of reader-response criticism. Next, based on the prototype of hypertext novel, we consider the methodology and point out problems for creating hypertext novels.
