抄録 : 蒸気機関車運転室(キャブ)内労働衛生調査と事故防止対策-狩勝トンネル争議- : 高桑榮松, -昭和6〜16年の10年間における隧道内の蒸気機関車乗務員事故は36名で, うち死亡は2名であり, 50℃以上, 湿度100%という高温高湿に, 投炭時の数百度に及ぶ熱線被爆による急性熱中症であると判断された.発生源対策として, キャブの床上に25カ所位の孔をあけたパイプを10数本並列に並べて, 圧縮空気ボンベに接続し, 機関車が隧道内に進入すると同時に圧縮空気を上方に向け放出した.その結果, (1)機関室内の煤塵量は約1/10に減少, (2)CO濃度は数分の一に減少し, COヘモグロビン量が20%(CO中毒最低限)を越える者はなかった, (3)温・湿度は断熱膨張効果も作用し, キャブ内は43℃, 湿度86%と好転した.

東北日本弧においては,測地学的観測で検出された水平短縮歪み速度が地質学的に観測される歪み速度よりおよそ一桁大きい.同様の不一致は垂直変動速度に関しても存在する;太平洋岸で急速な沈降が観測される一方で,第四紀後期の旧汀線高度は緩慢な隆起を示す.これは現在急速に蓄積している地殻歪みの大部分が弾性歪みであり,プレート境界の固着部分がすべることで解消されるということを示している.しかし,過去100年間に起こったMw 708級の海溝型地震は歪み解放に寄与していない.したがって,プレート境界の固着面全体がすべる巨大歪み解放イベントが存在するはずであり,2011年東北地方太平洋沖地震はこのような固着解放イベントであると考えられる.東北日本では幅広い固着領域の浅部のみが地震時にすべり,割れ残った深部固着域で余効すべりが起こるらしい.このような深部固着は,他の超巨大地震発生帯には存在しない可能性が高い.日本海溝に沈み込んでいるプレートの年齢は極めて古く従って低温であるから,このように深い固着域が存在するのは熱的な原因によると考えられる.

日本における観光産業は,直接効果22兆円,波及効果まで含めると55兆円規模の巨大産業であり,政府も日本の基幹産業として育成する可能性を探りつつある.また近年,各地の大学で観光学部が設置され,学問的興味も高まりつつある.観光シーンにおいては,旅行業者・輸送産業・宿泊業者そしてビジタといった各ステークホルダ間で膨大な情報がやりとりされているが,これまで情報学の観点から観光が研究されたことはほとんどなかった.本稿では,FIT2006で行われたイベント企画"ICTがもたらす観光産業の変貌"において議論された内容を整理するとともに,さらにその後の業界動向や研究の深化を踏まえ,情報システムの観点から観光産業を概観する.

1. Purpose This study has two main objectives: The first is to provide some clinical data to justify Dr. Wechsler's idea of general intelligence the behavior theory and to prove Dr. Alexander's idea of X and Z factors the temperamental and personality factors theory. The second objective is to provide my own idea the life history theory. 2. Method After I finished the Japanese standardization of WISC in 1953, I started clinical case study of children and analyzed more than a thousand cases. 3. Results What I have found is as follows: By measuring children's intelligence with WISC, we not only can find personality factors, but also can diagnose children's life histories how children are brought up and what their parents' attitudes are like. and so on. I have listed ten illustrative cases showing brief case histories and Verbal I.Q., Performance I.Q., Total I. Q., and Scaled-Score profiles.

「行為を決定するのは,行為者の属性と自身を取り囲む関係構造である.」これは複雑ネットワーク科学の 研究がなされる以前から社会学等でも扱われてきた,ネットワーク科学における基本的な考え方である.本研究では,こうした関係構造を結合振動子を用いてモデル化し,その性質や構造,成長におけるダイナミクスを明らかにする.更に,ノード間の相互作用とネットワークの成長の関係性について明らかにする.

「ロボットは東大に入れるか」プロジェクトにおける数学問題への取り組みについて報告する。開発中の解答システムは、問題文の論理表現を接点として、統語・意味理論に基づく言語解析と数式処理システムによる推論とを直接結合したものである。本稿では、システムの概要および実際の試験問題を用いた実験について述べるとともに、さらに多様な解答システムの開発へ向けた基礎資源となる数学問題対訳コーパスについて紹介する。

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) is one of the most widely grown essential oil crops in the world. Commercial extraction of lavender oil is done using steam distillation. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the length of the distillation time (DT) on lavender essential oil yield and composition when extracted from dried flowers. Therefore, the following distillation times (DT) were tested in this experiment: 1.5 min, 3 min, 3.75 min, 7.5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, 120 min, 150 min, 180 min, and 240 min. The essential oil yield (range 0.5-6.8%) reached a maximum at 60 min DT. The concentrations of cineole (range 6.4-35%) and fenchol (range 1.7-2.9%) were highest at the 1.5 min DT and decreased with increasing length of the DT. The concentration of camphor (range 6.6-9.2%) reached a maximum at 7.5-15 min DT, while the concentration of linalool acetate (range 15-38%) reached a maximum at 30 min DT. Results suggest that lavender essential oil yield may not increase after 60 min DT. The change in essential oil yield, and the concentrations of cineole, fenchol and linalool acetate as DT changes were modeled very well by the asymptotic nonlinear regression model. DT may be used to modify the chemical profile of lavender oil and to obtain oils with differential chemical profiles from the same lavender flowers. DT must be taken into consideration when citing or comparing reports on lavender essential oil yield and composition.

数千人が同時に1つのサーバに接続してプレイするネットワークRPGであるMMORPGにおいて、近年のインターネットユーザの増加に伴い、サーバへの負荷集中が発生しており大きな遅延が生じている。本論文では、サーバ・クライアントモデルを利用している現在のMMORPGに対してP2Pモデルを適用することによる遅延削減法を提案する。提案手法においては、P2Pモデルと従来のサーバ・クライアントモデルを両用するハイブリッドP2Pモデルを用いる。P2Pを用いることで、クライアント側への負担は増加することが考えられるが、実際に運営されているMMORPGの通信量を計測し、P2Pを用いた場合をシミュレーションしてみた結果、2004年12月現在の一般的なブロード回線(ADSL8Mbps〜50Mbps)を利用する限りにおいて、クライアント側での負担増加による回線圧迫の問題は発生しないことが分かった。

Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC TOFMS) and gas chromatography/high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC-HRT) were used to detect and identify halogenated natural products (HNPs) in tissue homogenate, in this case brominated analytes present in a marine snail. Two classes of brominated anthropogenic compounds, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and brominated dibenzofurans, were analyzed for comparison. Following conventional preparation, the sample was analyzed using GC×GC-TOF-MS. Isotope ratio scripts were used to compile a list of putatively brominated analytes from amongst the thousands of features resolved in the two-dimensional chromatogram. The structured nature of the chromatogram was exploited to propose identifications for several classes of brominated compounds, and include additional candidates that fell marginally outside the script tolerances. The sample was subsequently analyzed by GC-HRT. The high-resolution mass spectral data confirmed many formula assignments, facilitated confident assignment of an alternate formula when an original proposal did not hold, and enabled unknown identification. Identified HNPs include hydroxylated and methoxylated PBDE analogs, polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PBDDs) and hydroxyl-PBDDs, permitting the environmental occurrence and fate of such compounds to be studied.

本論文は,「癒し」という流行語が社会に波及する中で生じた意味創造プロセスを,20年分の雑誌記事タイトル8033件のテキスト分析を通じて明らかにする.特に注目をするのは,マーケティングを通じて新しい言葉が普及する一方で,こうした言葉の流行に乗る形でマーケティング努力の模倣が生じるという相互作用である.またブームが生じた理由を説くメディアの「理屈づけ」が,こうした相互作用を強化する可能性も指摘される.
