We measured the frictional coefficient under banana skin on floor material. Force transducer with six degrees of freedom was set under a flat panel of linoleum. Both frictional force and vertical force were simultaneously measured during a shoe sole was pushed and rubbed by a foot motion on the panel with banana skin. Measured frictional coefficient was about 0.07. This was much lower than the value on common materials and similar one on well lubricated surfaces. By the microscopic observation, it was estimated that polysaccharide follicular gel played the dominant role in lubricating effect of banana skin after the crush and the change to homogeneous sol.

Talking about death by way of metaphor is something inevitable in all societies for its incomprehensible nature. But in some cultures, the theme of death is emphasized more than others. Mexican popular culture of death doubtlessly belongs to this category, and has enormous variations of metaphors, phrases, and proverbs related to death. Mexican language of death has been developed through the 20th century, which experienced the Mexican revolution and the rise of nationalism in which the indigenous culture obtained new values. Through the rapid social changes in the 20th century, the metaphors of death have been newly produced and their implications in those words have changed depending on the social situation. In this article I will focus on the Mexican expressions of "to die" and by categorizing them I will try to see the connections between Mexican national identity, social problems, historical consciousness and the way they perceive death. Other than language aspect, I will also discuss self-other relationship in the way they celebrate "the days of dead", Mexican national festival in Mexico City.

本論文では人間二人の演奏を収録、分析することにより、人間がリアルタイムで協調して演奏を行なう動作について考察する。演奏者はお互いに相手の音しか聞こえない条件でアンサンブル演奏を行ない、その演奏が収録された。リハーサル前後の演奏(初合わせの演奏と十分なリハーサル後の演奏)における時間的なタイミングのずれやテンポの変化について分析を行なった。結果として、リハーサルの前に比べて、リハーサル後の演奏の方がずれが減少した。また、収録したテープを演奏者に聞かせ、ずれを指摘させることにより、100[ms]程度以内のずれならば、ずれとして指摘されず、またフレーズの頭のずれに対しては敏感であるということが観察された。Performances by two players were recorded under the condition where they can't see their partner each other, Analysing the performances, the total of time lag between two players performance was reduced after some rehearsal. Then players were asked to point out the part of the score where they had time lag. The results are (1) the time lag within 100[ms] were not perceived as time lag and (2) they were sensitive to the head of a phrase so that they could point out the time lag within 100[ms].

This parer examines the foreign policy of the Japanese ministry of foreign affairs toward Korea in 1870-1872. They did so while continuing to emphasize the humiliating situation in which they had been placed at the same time as they denied the relationship of equality with Korea under samurai rule. The fundamental idea was that Korea should submit to the Emperor as had occurred in the past since the Emperor was now, again, the ruler of Japan. The realization of the transition to imperial rule was the core of the problems with Korea during the Meiji Restoration. The letter from Tsushima to Korea which included the Chinese characters for "emperor" and "imperial decree" was an expression of this type of idea and met with rejection by Korea, which warned against such wording. The focus of the letter issue truly was in the "acceptance or refusal of the transition to the imperial court." The theory of direct transfer to the imperial court, which recognized the ancient subordination of Korea from the beginning accompanied the "dispatch of the Emperor's envoy" and the insistence upon a military attack of Korea. Seikanron was an argument for the invasion of Korea that was linked to the idea of the revival of imperial governance, and its promotion during the early years of the Meiji Restoration may be said to have been inevitable.

In this paper, I investigate how the Japanese weekly Asahi Geino generated sei-fuzoku (popular attitudes toward sexual behavior). I conducted interviews with Asahi Geino editors, then analyzed the data I obtained with the KT2 software system. From the results, I conclude that sei-fuzoku exist in a fantastic binomial context (G. Rodari) made up of two heterogeneous elements: one a sexual element that loses its inherent meaning in people's memories, the other a non-sexual element that is stable in meaning. New combinations of these elements are produced by, and themselves produce, new sei-fuzoku.

本稿は戦後日本で明るみになった, ソ連による対日工作活動であるラストボロフ事件および関・クリコフ事件として知られる事件を近年アメリカ国立公文書館で公開された一次資料を基に扱うことで, シベリア抑留帰還者を用いた米ソによる情報戦の一端を明らかにするものである. これらの事件を取り上げることで, 日本の敗戦直後から抑留帰還者を用いた米ソの熾烈な情報戦が展開されていた事実が浮かび上がるだけでなく, 講和条約後の1950年代全体を通して抑留帰還者を巡る米ソの情報戦が日本に影響を及ぼしていたこと, および, インテリジェンス上の日本の戦後の対米依存を垣間見ることができる.
